As women, and even as girls there is a gray area to what is morally right and wrong to do to another girl.
Slut shaming and fat shaming are two major areas that can be so tempting to participate in.
It’s so easy to point fingers and laugh at or say snide things to those who you think are below you for violating something that isn’t shameful at all.
Having sex and being fat are just two things that are natural for humans. Maybe not at a young age but when a person gets older they are just things that present themselves.
The only major difference I see between fat and sex is one is usually a choice and the other isn’t. Yes you can choose to have sex and many people do. No, some people can’t stop eating or their metabolisms aren’t quick like the rest of the world’s. As some people say sh** happens.
Back to the subject of Shaming:
When someone slut or fat shames, the person who cried wolf believes that it shows a sense of superiority because the PWCW’s believe they are better than the accused/shamed.
Though they might believe that it makes them superior, I must argue that that sense of superiority isn’t a true sense though, more like a false sense.
If you were that sure of yourself and your own morals than you’d have no reason to shame a fellow woman.
Not only does it hurt women, but it gives men a chance to comment on things that they don’t need to poke their noses into. It shouldn’t be a man’s prerogative to call out a women for their weight or they sexual activeness/what they wear. And just like it shouldn’t be a man’s prerogative it also shouldn’t be another woman’s.
The shamed people always have reasons to why they do things.
People don’t know what other people are going through daily. Women don’t know what pressures that other women face every day and therefore shouldn’t comment on things they don’t know.
Let a woman breathe for at least a minute. Just think about this. Somethings aren’t your business.
