Unable to process what she had just done, Sarah found herself sitting in silence while the meal was served. Never in her wildest dreams had she ever been the first person to make the move. She was stunned, bewildered and confused as to what had driven her to do so. Her eyes shifted towards her meal, unable to make eye contact with Ben just yet. She said a silent prayer that the rest of their evening would not suffer any awkwardness, due to her impatience. She wanted to physically knock herself out, but she knew that wasn't an option. Clearing her throat, she took a sip of water. She could still feel her lips tingle from the moment they came into contact with his. It was like a chemical reaction, the kind you don't realise is possible, until you see it before you. However, as amazing as it may have been, she was kicking herself for not being able to wait. Acting on impulse, was a habit she was yet to ditch. Upon hearing Ben speak, her eyes instinctively found their way to him. She smiled naturally, amidst slowly dying on the inside. "I think you're missing the moral of the story." Sarah pointed out, "In the end, the Beast was never truly hideous. He just needed Belle to show him that the world is full of beauty, especially when and where you least expect it." With that, she chinked her glass against his own, pausing to propose her own toast.
"And to you, Ben. For making me feel like a true, disney princess." She smiled, taking a sip of the wine. Having starved herself all day so to enjoy the dinner, her stomach was begging to be filled. She had ordered a chicken dish, served with a side salad and lots of cheese. She couldn't help, but turn into a critic whenever food was placed infront of her. However, she already knew the food would be fantastic without having to taste anything. The restaurant had, had rave reviews, which was most likely why Ben had chosen it. When he proposed a second date, Sarah's lips curled into a smile. "Wow. I don't know. We seem to be escalating awfully quickly, don't you think?" She asked, referring to a previous comment of his. Skimming her fork into her salad, Sarah let her eyes stay steady on his own. "Isn't the next step to live happily ever after, anyway? If so, our second date shouldn't host any problems." She sent him a playful smile, letting him know that the fun was only just beginning.
