used to be a well known tailor who would make wonderful garments for those in a little shop of her own that many clamored for

has golden blood that flows through her veins due to being a chrysos heir

adores hot baths and bathhouses, stated that if it weren't for her tremendous duties she'd have at least three baths a day

while she used to be blind without the use of her golden threads, she is able to see fully again now for the first time in 33 million cycles!

her golden threads not only tell her information but, in turn, can resonate with someone and tell her if they're lying or telling the truth

"Casual royalty. Honestly just saying it out loud sounds a little crazy but I can see what you mean." After all even kings, queens, or even a princess needed to have something to walk around in. As elegant and beautiful dresses and robes were it was also a pretty good way to never not get the attention of everyone in the area. Something Mika would've loved avoiding in a life like that.

"Still it is pretty nice." Mika said as she flashed a bright smile towards her as Aglaea put up the garment next to her. "Just took me a bit off guard is all. I'm willing to try 'em all on if you need! Though it might take me a bit but it should give us both a good idea of what works and what doesn't."

Because if anyone could get the vibe out from an outfit and how comfortable and natural it felt it was her...

WAS IT SUCH A PECULIAR COMBINATION OF STYLE? to claim it as crazy, the goldweaver supposes it must be so in some technical way. and yet, as long as she is capable of sewing together the styles in a way that pleases the eye, melting needle and thread together into one, beautiful piece, any criticism to be had of it would be down to mere personal tastes. ❝ It is a reassurance to know there is some inkling of comprehension to it, ❞ she replies, however, wishing to not disregard mika's own thoughts on the matter. it was hardly as if she were anything close to phainon's sense of appalling taste. not to mention she was also still a child in contrast to his near thirty or so years of being grown, nor the millenia of cycles she has attempted to instill in him about the etiquettes of fashion and color theory.

the willingness that mika shows is also something to be pleased in, lips tugging into a gentle smile. ❝ If you would be so inclined, I would much appreciate it. ❞ she hands the garment off to the younger girl, allowing her to run off to change in one of the shop's fitting rooms as she goes to sit on one of the seats.

before long, mika emerges from behind one of the doors, adorned in the garment she had carried away with her.

❝ It looks simply immaculate, Mika, ❞ she states, motioning for the other to come a little bit closer to inspect further. once the teenager does, she reaches forth, fingers gentle as she plucks at a few of the draperies to fluff them out for better volume. ❝ The fit needs not be adjusted. There are a few seams that must be tailored, howsoever... nothing too extensive from the looks. How does it feel and flow in your personal opinion? ❞

"Ah sorry for worrying you! I really should've texted you or called. It would've been far easier." Though the thought did make Mika wonder how Aglaea did decorate her cell phone. Maybe some kind of royal aesthetic? Something else entirely? Something to maybe ask down the line once she actually finished some of her work.

"Well I don't really know if I'm ready for making it a profession just yet. Still I'll be sure to do my best trying to see which ones work out the be-"

Only once the student did see the garments did her eyes widen in disbelief. Not at any form of disapproval but just how beautiful the ones were out in the first place.

"A-Are these the right ones? I know I told you before people called me a "Princess" but I feel even these are a bit much for me. Although they are really beautiful..."

MIKA'S RESPONSE IS MORE THAN SHE EXPECTS, truth be told. were they too much for the young girl's current aesthetic? not that she would be truly offended, though perhaps it was more a sense of being humble that drives her to say so, golden locks swaying with the quick shake of her head. ❝ Yes, they are. While I have indeed woven them in likeness to royalty, I have also implemented a more casual aesthetic as to balance a royal's more elaborate dress more suited to everyday wear, ❞ she explains, wondering if that might help in some capacity.

leaning down to pluck one of the garments from where it lay, she holds it up, tilting her head a little to one side as she inspects it further. soon enough, she moves to hold it up before mika, holding it to her shoulders so that it would be as if she could envision what it would look like being worn.

What matters most is the natural feel you have when they are worn. ❞ something she is certain the teenager can do far better than some model she might pluck from a catalogue with the amount of life that brims from her. ❝ Are you willing to try a few of them? ❞

is that her way of thanking him? he can only guess since she can be difficult to figure out at times, even knowing her as well as he does. or perhaps that's the complicated side of their relationship making it feel as such.

"I expected nothing else, but I am surprised you are not working." surprised but relieved. and he'll leave out the little detail that he tried the shop before coming here, though she's likely to figure that out herself, if she hasn't realised already. she always has been one to work hard when she wants something. luckily she chose not to today, otherwise he may have needed to become an unremovable thorn until she agreed to stop.

as soon as she moves aside, he steps in and makes himself comfortable on one of the seats. "you're free to do whatever you want. if that is what makes you happy, then plan your designs." he's perfectly fine just sitting and watching her as she does, with that drink she offers of course. how could he deny any generosity from Aglaea. it is a rare thing for him to see, after all. "and yes, I think I shall have a drink." but should he ask her to join him or leave her in peace... one couldn't hurt, after she has finished what she needs. "will you have one as well? once you've figured out what you're doing with those."

WAS IT TRULY SO SURPRISING TO HIM? were such the case, perhaps it best not to to divulge that she had not been so idle in her technical time off, at least not right now. another few words for later in their conversation when the time was right. while not fully at the shop itself this day, that did not mean she was left astray in her works 一 busy to her holds a vastly different meaning than many, after all. so, for now, she simply shuts the door, locking it behind him as she makes her way to the kitchen to begin fetching some form of drink, whatever it may be that suits his fancy to choose of.

before long, she emerges with an array to choose from, not to mention a few of her own selection to indulge. ❝ It would not hurt, I suppose. Some time has passed since I last had a one... or two, ❞ she adds that last part more subtly, the lull of her voice lowering just a smidgen in doing so. and rather than take an immediate seat, she makes way to where she left the silks, returning soon after. unwrapping them gently, she rubs the fabrics between her thumb and index, almost as if assessing it thoroughly.

"Ms. Aglaea! Sorry it took me so long to come on by. I had to pick up a few things back home." Along with clean up a few messes she might've caused waking up this morning as well. Still it was her first official day helping out working underneath someone. So making the most of it by getting to the store early was in her best interest.

"But I'm pretty excited to see what you have for me to put on. A new season like this means there's always good things to put on in preparation for it right? Though I'm a bit nervous. I never modeled before even back home..."

PLACING THE TELESLATE DOWN TO THE WAYSIDE, there was no reason to use it as she had planned, the very person she had been seeking walking through the door at long last. ❝ Mika. I had started to wonder if something had transpired, ❞ she admits, now more at ease in knowing nothing had befallen the younger girl. whatever the case was, she figures it must have been something important, though one being a tad bit late wasn't too much of a big deal when compared to cifera's whimsical delays and entrances.

❝ I have quite a few outfits ready for you to choose from. But you are correct indeed. When it comes to garments, one must have an array to choose from to suit the style the customer seeks. ❞ that was why she had several laid out for mika to see, stepping to the side for her to take a gander. ❝ As for modeling... it isn't so difficult, not unless you make it into a profession. In this case, having others view them in daily wear is more ideal than placing them on a still mannequin. ❞

of course he knows she's aware, how could she not be after all they have suffered. still, he won't answer lest anything he might say irritates her further. that isn't the point of this conversation now. it requires handling with care, so they can mend the rift between them.

"no need to explain. we understand each other well enough to know our flaws. I am not so blind to your methods now as I was then, that was merely my own frustration." and the very reason he wants to avoid a repeat. they cannot prevent the inevitable difference of opinion, that would be impossible for two such as them. he can, however, learn to communicate better so they can talk reasonably in future. "none of that means anything here, which is why I believe it's time to move on." a trial it may be, but it's one he's willing to face than any alternative outcome.

he's more relieved she is open to the suggestion, perhaps now they can finally put things behind them to an extent, so long as they aren't arguing as often. that may be expecting too much, but there is some hope for them. "since we are in agreement, let's enjoy the rest of the evening. we'll discuss it further once we leave." in fact, he could extend an invitation, whether she's likely to accept or not, that is up to Aglaea. "you're welcome to stay the night. you have a longer journey home than I. the living room will be suitable enough for one night, so you may use my room." if that isn't enough to convince her, then...

"consider it an opportunity to celebrate a new beginning. we could have another drink before retiring to rest." before she does, at least. he isn't so certain he'll be able to sleep easily after such a lively event.

HOW COULD HE EXPECT HER NO TO EXPLAIN? rather than doing so out of necessity, she feels it is something of an admittance, a promise to move forward from their conflicts, even if just a little. perhaps, then, it would be more tangible than merely internalizing it without a consequence, that words may be held forth if their actions begin to falter even the slightest. and though she knows healing is not a linear aspect, it is still a thing to keep hold of, allowing them little room to skirt about accountability were everything to fall back into such a dissatisfactory state as it once had been.

but he is truly right, something she knows well 一 it was time for them both to take a step forward toward that newfound future, whether in regards to here or their fragile home.

Tonight is better for participating in the festivities than something meant for more earnestness, ❞ she agrees, finding it better this way than amidst a bustling dancefloor, let alone with anyone they know looking on to their current situation. it was better this way, along with the fact that privacy was something to be appreciated when it came down to more personal, intimate matters between two individuals.

Are you certain? ❞ it was strange to hear him offer it, truth be told. he was such a private individual, often taking her many times to track him down if he wasn't as his residence. ❝ ... I'd rather not overstay my welcome, offered or otherwise. ❞ at least in this instance, knowing there was a time and place for such things where it was called for.

but for the time being, she would put a pause to their sways on the floor, instead turning to where the refreshments rest upon the wall. ❝ Then let us partake in a drink or two to refresh ourselves, shall we? ❞

Saber's head bobbed whilst taking in the information, holding back from asking where, if any, pumpkin might have been the specialty. Amphoreus... the name resonated as something she felt had been in the air before — not a location she had been summoned but...

perhaps she had heard of it in passing somewhere. But that could be query for another time, not about to delay the two of them any longer.

"Agreed. I shall hold it in place to prevent any sudden movement which might ruin your work," she proposed, pressing down on the edges of the pumpkin from an upper angle which would provide room still to craft an opening to hollow the body. "It's quite remarkable what artists can do on such a canvas, their talent is enviable".

WHILE SABER HOLDS THE PUMPKIN SECURELY, aglaea begins to carve into it soon enough. hands are delicate yet firm, as if trained in the art of doing so, if not with an entirely different material. and though the slice wasn't in utmost perfection as it would be were she handling the finest of silks and fabrics, it was enough to get the job done, the top coming off with a soft sound and set to the wayside. peering in, she takes note of the inside, reaching over to grab a glove to make it far less messy for her own hands, beginning the next step.

❝ Indeed. There have been many artisans at work in Okhema itself in various walks of life. There was a blacksmith who was renown for the fine craftsmanship he had done, an artistic view of its own despite the need for tools of war itself, ❞ she speaks pleasantly, recalling her home fondly as she continues to scoop out the pumpkin and set it all upon a tray. ❝ One craft's proficient does not equate to another's, but the beauty that comes of both is quite breathtaking to witness when you see the final products. Have you been fortunate to see much yourself of it? ❞

SO SHE WAS MORE OF AN ONLOOKER, one who rarely partakes unless it is more of an inclined wish. that was understandable, especially given the commotion regarding many of the festivities and how compact they might be at any given time. whatever the case, she figures it is something nice to indulge in every so often than being the constant outsider, a vague smile coming across her lips in response.

❝ I have not tried it specifically before myself. Pumpkin was not much of a delicacy back in the lands of Amphoreus, at least not in Okhema. It was other fruits and vegetables that took the stage in such a way. ❞ which means this would likely be a tasty treat, so long as her tastebuds were content with the taste and texture. ❝ I would be delighted in sampling such a thing together. Which means it is prominent we begin carving it so we can reach that final goal. ❞ and, as such, aglaea reaches over to one of them, pulling it closer and selecting one of the myriad of utensils to begin.

"Ooooh! That's a neat trick. Sounds terrific!" He's pulling out a pull tab from a drink he had finished hours before their meeting. Why he kept a pull-tab is anyone's guess, but he has it, and he throws it in the air once and catches it.

"What if there's nothing and we just wasted our time?" The question is asked with a laugh, and he doesn't wait for an answer as he tosses the pull-tab down the hole.

"mmmmmm...." nothing. No sound. No ending.

"I guess there may not be a bottom?"

IT'S A QUESTION FOR ANOTHER DAY, though it wasn't like she was in a position to judge. people had to make due with what they could 一 in the end, not everyone held golden strings that could branch out beyond their reach. ❝ It would only be a waste if we knew the answer and still did so, ❞ she reassures, figuring that learning anything would be better than nothing.

and when no sound comes out, she tilts her head ever so slightly.

❝ That, or perhaps the bottom is too far down to where we cannot hear. ❞ it was possible, the threads now going in after the pull-tab that he'd thrown in. they go further and further, inching down in search of where the pull-tab could have gone... only to sever their connection once a ward's length has been met. ❝ ... it is far deeper than a ward's length, at the very least. My threads no longer sense anything in the darkness. ❞

The time comes when that something is being pulled out of his pocket. He's holding a case in his hand, and he waves it, "I can always buy new glasses." They're by the hole now.
