With all the devastation that the storm had wreaked, Laudine felt it was, for now, her duty to put aside her mission and do what she could to help those in need. She would not give up on finding a guard for the fountain, but right now she knew that none of the guards or the knights would be eager to leave Camelot for another land and to ask them to would be a waste of her time. Later, once things had begun to heal, she could approach a few men she had watched in training and thought might be suitable.
With one of her handmaidens in tow, she made her way down to the city to distribute what relief she could. She had brought some food from the kitchens (with the permission of the cook, of course) to give out, and some spare blankets and clothes. It wasn’t much, but she knew theat there were people in need who would be grateful. Rubble was still strewn across the streets in place, but mostly they managed to pick their way through carefully - until suddenly Laudine heard her handmaiden give a sharp cry behind her.
Turning, Laudine hurried to her side. Melysande’s face was pale with pain, and when Laudine looked down she could see blood seeping out from beneath her foot. She guided her to the side of the street, where there was a low wall she could sit on, and looked around to ask someone if they could fetch help - but found herself looking into the eyes of a young man. “Ah, maybe, are you a healer?” she asked, gesturing to her handmaiden. “She stepped on something, I think. It looks like her foot is badly cut.”

Rustling through his small sack, Gavin thumbs through a number of small bottles and loose leaf herbs before pulling out a number of larger leaves. ‘ These should do the trick ! ‘ a quick pull reveals a long swath of cloth. Since Gavin cannot directly use his powers here, out in the open, he chose to use it under the guise of tending to the wound.
Soft fingertips pull at the glass wedged in the womans’ skin in a slow manner being careful to numb the area with a small bit of his abilities. Once free of the glass, he administers the leaf with a generous wrapping along her foot. ‘ W - were you both headed s - somewhere ? She won’t be able to - to walk m - much today, it would be best to rest, ‘ Of course, the woman would be better in only a few short minutes, however the blood would keep her from opening the bandage too soon. He turned to the other, ‘ Is there another way I am able to assist you ? ‘
