Caccian followed the dot, hand still hovering close to his sheathed dagger. He doesn’t let himself relax, despite the fact the killer in front of him seemed calm. Friendly even. If there was one thing he had to thank the Keeper for, it was always keeping him on his toes. He watched for any small twitch, any sign he could get that the demon was going to attack. For the moment, however, it seemed he was...safe wasn’t the right word. But the danger he was in hadn’t increased. That was a start.

Caccian’s movements are slow, deliberate, as if moving around a wild animal. He doesn’t get closer, but he does lean himself back against the pillar that had served as his hiding spot until that damned tankard. Sithis was surely laughing at him for this one. Things...could be worse though, he supposed. They could always be worse. He presses his back against the pillar, ensuring just in case that the demon cannot get behind him, and no one could properly sneak up on him. From the rumors, the demon of dusk worked alone, but it never hurt to be careful.

Speaking of rumors, well there were many regarding the serial killer. His strange art, his worship of Mehrunes Dagon. Did Dagon and Sithis have some connection Caccian could exploit? It had been far too long since the Redguard had brushed up on his Daedric Prince lore. Sithis was neither Daedra nor Aedra, so the connection, if there was one, was thin. The fingers of his other hand tapped against the pillar. A specific, calming rhythm for himself. His eyes are glancing towards the corpse again, a small risk to study the work in front of him. After all, it was an interesting moment, for not everyone got to see the serial killer’s work up close.

Then the killer is talking to him again, and Caccian forces his attention back to him.

“That depends,” he hums, “I don’t see you as the type to be willing to kill in the name of another god. From what I know, Sithis doesn’t suit you.” Not only that, but Caccian could only deal with one unstable brother at a time. The keeper kept his hands full enough as it was. His eyes go back to the corpse again, and there’s something wrong. Okay the entire situation is fucked up, but that’s not what’s bothering Caccian. No there’s something particular about this work in progress that makes the vampire’s nose crinkle in thought. He moves from the pillar, walking closer. Not into the demon’s space, but close enough for a better work.

Then he sees it. The start of a new arm, going to the hand. Ah.

“Your anatomy is off,” he says plainly, though he hadn’t meant to voice the critique outloud.
