Digital age has changed how we use the Period

The efficiency of proper punctuations when using social media seems to have become dispensable.  A study done at my college, American University, has shown that students teting and messaging habits found they only used sentence-final punctuation 39 percent of the time in texts and 45 percent of the time in online chats.  Ben Crair wrote an interesting article on the matter.  Check it out!

Instagram starts Private Photo and Video Sharing!

Looks like there will be new ways to get in trouble with Social Media.  Instagram has started private video and photo sharing with users. Instead of just viewing images people posted you can have secret video and photo conversations.  I expect many innappropriate images to be sent out.  I know I've been looking forward to sending a few out myself.  I'm kidding!!!  But seriously, it should be a new and fun way to interact with people around the World without everyone else knowing your business.  Check it out!

Breath-O-Meter

A start-up product to help alcohol consumers make smarter decisions has created a unique site to show how to turn your smartphone into a breathalyzer.  It cleverly shows their product adapter that you place on your phone to turn it into your own personal Breathometer.  The Floating adapter creates visual instructions for the viewers that is functional and appealing.

The Internet in the United States is Too Slow and Too Expensive.

Why is this?  Comcast has become a billion dollar organization and pretty much the lone juggernaut in the business.  We have slower Internet than almost every other country and we pay three times as much.  How can a company that makes so much not provide us with better Internet service for a reasonable price?  Let’s face it; the Internet is no longer a “want.”  It is by all accounts, a “need!”  You can’t do anything now a days without it.  So can someone tell me why we can’t get the price down and better service? 

 I know others are taking a stand on this but I think it’s time we ALL take that stand.

The Tie Bar, A Bland Website for Amazing Ties

One of the most popularly endorsed websites for ties by Gentlemen’s Quarterly, is The Tie Bar.  The website is very plain and has too many endorsements on their home page, but their menu bar is located right under the header which is easy to find. 

I believe self-presentation is very important.  I also believe it is my duty to share with other men how to properly wear clothing and where to find them at a reasonable price.  15 Dollars for any tie is a great deal for any tie, but these cannot be beat.  Ties can be expensive and people love brands.  This brand is just as good of quality as any other tie and with an endorsement from GQ magazine, you can’t go wrong.  Oh, and did I mention they have suspenders (or braces) too?
