LORNA DANE attends the ICEBERG LOUNGE HALLOWEEN as A BAG OF FERTILIZER.
@doctorinterrupted
she was not following him. okay, maybe she was. just a little bit – not in a creepy stalker way. the way her hands shoved in the pockets of her leather jacket and she avoided eye contact with anyone may have spoken otherwise. still, it wasn’t as if lorna had set out to do this. wanda had mentioned the man helping her with her powers and the younger mutant was curious. she didn’t trust easily and her sister, as recently discovered as she was, was one of the only good things she had right now. long story short, she wanted to make sure this guy was worth wanda’s trust. her sister was powerful, didn’t need the protection, but that didn’t seem to stop her.
lorna stepped into the cafe, having trailed him loosely there since seeing him leave the sanctum. after getting herself a coffee, she spotted where he was sitting and made her way over, gesturing to an empty chair. “is this seat taken?” oops, she needed to do better. there were other less awkward seats available. “sorry, my phone is just dying and this has one of the only outlets in the place.”
@exhumcd
it was late, and lorna wasn’t exactly sure where she was. ( but did she ever? ) this wasn’t the first time and it wouldn’t be the last. she supposed it had something to do with her inability to settle anywhere – moving place to place and avoiding roots. she could stay with wanda, that much she knew for sure, but a part of her still worried she’d scare her newfound sister off. truthfully, she wasn’t ready yet. so she stuck to her old habits. her head stayed lowered, a hand lightly grazing over an atm – pretending to use it as intended but lorna didn’t have a bank account or credit card. instead, wisps of emerald energy moved from her hand to the machine, manipulating the mechanics inside to dispense the money.
she pocketed the cash – aside from a twenty dollar bill she handed to a homeless woman sitting nearby along the sidewalk – and kept herself moving. she couldn’t be entirely sure, this city had a lot of people out at night despite it’s reputation for crime, but she suspected she wasn’t alone. lorna turned into an alley nearby, eyes glancing around to see if she could spot anyone. “look, i don’t know if there’s someone like.. following me, but if you are, you’re going to get bored pretty fast. my life really isn’t that interesting.” she huffed out a breath into the air, only mildly concerned she could look like a crazy person. “i just don’t like that feeling when it feels like someone is watching you, goosebumps, you know?”
𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚊 𝚖𝚊𝚡𝚒𝚖𝚘𝚏𝚏 ;
“is it… dead?” the witch asked, turning her head to face whoever it was that had walked into the room. she was curious about the creature, feeling its pain and feat but being wise enough to not allow herself close enough to it until she could harness her abilities more. “the poor creature, i feel for it - alone in this world and having no way to contact those it loves.” her voice faltered at that before she turned back to look out the window at the distant tower that the alien had created. “i am sorry that i did not go out to help, i would not have been beneficial.”
( @earthstarters )
lorna wished she knew the right thing to say, but comfort wasn’t something she was well versed in. truthfully, she wasn’t even entirely sure what was going on. “maybe it didn’t have anyone to contact, anyway.” she started, pulling apart a piece of bread from where she sat to put in her mouth. “i mean, i heard they were saying it had a kind of hive mind but maybe it wanted to escape, get away from the hive. maybe the hive sucked. maybe it was running away and took a wrong turn.” at the very least, she knew something about running away. “i didn’t really know something was happening until i saw it on the news. figured i’d come check in and see how you’re doing.”
𝚌𝚛𝚢𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚗 ;
“That was… inexcusably lacking in tact, I- yes, Crystal.” She huffed out a breath, crossing her arms over her chest, but at the level of acceptance she received, a small part of her worry melted. Her and Lorna had been close, and as much as she missed the rest of her blood family, the royal family, she missed Lorna. She knew it wasn’t the same here, but as with Wanda, it was worth trying. “She’s always steps ahead of the rest of us with realities.” It had been a shock to hear she already knew of Crystal, but considering her wide array of powers, the surprise settled fast. With the reminder, her expression fell to sadness, and she had to sternly remind herself that her Pietro was alive and well. “Pietro. I… yes, she told me.” Brushing some of her hair out of her face, she shook her head. “Her name is Luna.”
Lorna’s last words surprised a laugh out of Crys, a wide smile crossing her face at the reminder of her friend’s sense of humor. “Oh yeah. Spending time with her grandfather sure was something.”
it took lorna a good moment to not only catch up with what the other woman was telling her, but to fully digest it as well. “no, no – you’re fine. trust me, tact isn’t exactly my strong point either.” she admitted, “you just caught me a little off guard is all.” despite the slightly jarring information overload, it didn’t take much for lorna to believe her. the world was already becoming mashed version of realities, and these things were bound to happen. although, this was the first time lorna had been affected by it herself. her head nodded in acknowledgement, but immediately felt as though she’d shoved her foot in her mouth. no one wanted to hear about how some version of a loved one was dead here. “i’m sorry, i shouldn’t have – like i said, not great with tact either.” her hands shoved into her pockets, brow raising at the name of her niece, or the niece of some version of her. “luna... it’s a pretty name. would it be confusing for her to meet me?”
lorna let out a quiet laugh – even though she hadn’t known her biological father well – if there was one thing she could count on in any reality, it was that their family was complicated. ( which was just a nice way of saying messed up. ) with a hum, she nodded. “i can only imagine. so in this reality of yours, are we close? i don’t really know what i’m like where you’re from – i’d hate to not meet the expectations.”
𝚍𝚒𝚌𝚔 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚢𝚜𝚘𝚗 ;
Oooookay, well, laughter was a new reaction to learning about Batman. “I take it you were imagining something like Man-bat? Because he’s the one that actually turns into a batlike creature. Batman just… dresses like one,” the more he spoke, the more he realized how ridiculous it sounded to someone who wasn’t from here, so he just gave up. “Nevermind.” his hand moved to the mask for a moment and he grinned, sheepishly. How did you explain most of the people you knew also wore a mask, “See, normal me is a total dork. No one expects a dork to wear a mask or know the moves I know.” Well, sort of true. He was sure there were things that made people wonder if he was actually Nightwing. Like the acrobatics.
“A few.” he admitted. “There’s this doctor around here who I trust with my life. She’s a mind reader. And then I met one of the Avengers,” Well, not quite… Dick Grayson did. Nightwing did not. Not yet. “Plus a lot of my friends in the Titans have superpowers, and you guys really aren’t that different from them.” He would never understand the hatred for mutants. He watched as she lifted the metal bar in the alley, eyes flitting to the green energy on her hand. “That’s pretty cool.” he said, a small grin tugging at his lips. “That doctor friend of mine- she can do stuff like that too- excpet she’s telekinetic and the- glowy stuff is a pinkish gold.”
“well now you just hold on a goddamn minute - you’re telling me there’s a batman and a man-bat?” lorna wasn’t sure if she was more amused at the notion, or growing concerned that this city had some sort of radioactive bat problem. of course, she knew it was all likely less hilarious in person and for those that had known about these things for some time, but she’d still poke some fun at it while it was left to her imagination. “is that really how it works? people don’t see it because they can’t wrap there heads around the idea that someone isn’t what they’d expect? i mean, i guess i’d get it. but if i was trying to think of who jumps off rooftops at night, i wouldn’t go for the obvious choices.”
she paused, the last she’d known, the only mutant on the avengers was wanda. “well, i don’t know any doctors, but i do know an avenger. wanda, right? she’s my sister.” it was still odd to say out loud – not only that her sister was a known avenger, but that she had a sister at all. “you’re not though? enhanced, i mean – in any way?” she asked with a raised brow. he hadn’t done anything to make her believe he was, nor said anything to imply it. “isn’t it ever weird? to be a fairly normal ‘total dork’ – your words, not mine – and surrounded by people with powers? don’t get me wrong, i think it’s great, but it must get weird.”

It wasn’t really unusual to hear, considering the various stories Scott has heard over the years. Sometimes people coming to them for help doesn’t even have ANYTHING — unless they were Warren who seems to bleed money. It makes him smile at the thought of his best friend, but then returns to focusing on the HERE AND NOW. “Fair enough.” Scott responds with a nod of his head as they start heading toward the diner. He had a fairly good sense of direction at least after so many years of being here — even if things were getting different.
Scott knows though from experience how cruel humans could be, and if revealing that he was also a mutant would bring Lorna relief then he was happy to do that. “It’s nice to meet you, Lorna. I’m Scott Summers. They also call me CYCLOPS.” He admits with a hint of a smile, but he wasn’t going to force the woman to reveal her life story to him. He wasn’t that kind of person, but making a FRIEND? He was always open for that much. “Yeah? I can’t SEE it, but I’m sure it looks great. I can only see in shades of RED unfortunately.” His hands gesture to the ruby sunglasses. “My powers force me to wear these when I don’t have my VISOR on.”
she was hesitating, a brow raised in consistent curiosity, as if she was working through some complicated math equation in her head. truthfully, lorna was just cautious. even among other mutants, she knew she had to be careful. it wasn’t scott’s fault, of course, only her previous experience and a slight pessimism that told her no one was so nice without reason. yet, she hadn’t given away anything about herself that an internet search couldn’t tell him, anyway, and she was set to see this through. “cyclops, huh? that’s kind of cool – some people call me polaris.” she added, figuring that offering the same type of information was the polite thing to do.
lorna was still refraining, holding back information that wasn’t already easy to figure out elsewhere, yet offering enough to further along the conversation and see where it went. her head nodded in understanding, she’d run into mutants with physical limitations and necessary precautions due to their abilities in the past. “how many times do you get people making a joke about wearing sunglasses at night?” well, that was a ridiculous question, yet the first thing that came from her mouth before her brain could restrain it. going in a more sensible direction, she looked to him in some curiosity. “so your powers have to do with your eyes?”

“Lorna!” Before any thought not to crossed her mind, Crystal had already shouted after the briefly glimpsed head of green hair, moving in her direction with equally as little regard. All the thoughts and worries came rushing in after to hinder the brief flare of excitement, but she’d already planted herself beside the familiar woman. “Okay, I am very well aware this is going to sound ridiculous, but with universes crashing and all that’s to be expected. But. Um, well- I’m Crystal Amaquelin. But it was Crystal Maximoff for a while, and we were sisters and… I can show you a picture of my daughter so you don’t think I’m crazy? There’s a family resemblance, really, it’s almost uncanny.”
there weren’t many people that knew her, she laid low and avoided attention while deciding what she wanted to do next. an unfamiliar voice calling out her name easily caught her by surprise but as the other woman caught up to her and launched into an explanation, her expression juggled between confusion and suspicion. “sorry – you said it was crystal, right? wanda’s a lot better with this merging realities car wreck thing than i am. i’m just trying to keep up.” it wasn’t every day that someone came up to tell you how you’re related, but being that she only really found wanda recently, she supposed it shouldn’t be much of a shock anymore. “you have a daughter? maximoff... did you marry pietro or wanda? i only really know wanda yet, pietro in this really, uh –” she skipped ahead, it didn’t feel right to speak of, she hadn’t known him. “i might need a minute to wrap my head around it all, but i guess i believe you. honestly, i think anyone would sooner lie to be out of this family than in it.”

The description doesn’t REALLY ring any bells, but there was a lot of hotels in the city. He doesn’t keep track of them all, but knows of a few in the area that were nice to his own kind. If anyone needed to stay somewhere they trusted wouldn’t turn them away. Not everywhere seems to be so accepting, unfortunately they all learn it the hard way. “Did you leave anything at the room? If so — hopefully you can remember the name of the place.”
The mutant pushes his fingers through his hair, nodding quickly. “Yeah — that’s the one. I’m one of the professors there.” He confesses which would obviously be an admission to being a MUTANT. Scott was proud of that, and wouldn’t ever decide to hide from the world. He would rather put his own life on the line for others to live a better tomorrow. “How about we go get a burger then — it’s on me.”
her head shook, not needing to think it over very long. “nothing important, i travel light.” lorna admitted with a shrug of her shoulders. she’d kept on the move, rarely being long enough to acquire anything of sentimental value, and anything that did matter, was kept on her. “well, other than clothes but i can replace those pretty easily.” she mused. honestly, it as like two pairs of ripped jeans, some shirts, and just enough undergarments to be considered healthy. she could manipulate an atm into giving her enough cash to replace them, but she wasn’t about to tell this guy that.
lorna offered a small nod at the admission, a slight tinge of relief forming in her. her experiences with humans weren’t ideal, and admittedly she didn’t trust many until she was able to get a proper idea of who they were and how they felt about mutants. to know he was one as well took away some of her guess work. plus, he was offering her food and she had a hard time turning that down. “yeah, that’d be great, actually. thanks. i’m lorna, by the way.” she paused, lips pressed together a moment. she had no problem with who she was, normally quick to admit it. it was other aspects of her life that she kept more guarded. “i’m a mutant too, if you were wondering. the green hair isn’t just a fun style choice.”
𝚍𝚒𝚌𝚔 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚢𝚜𝚘𝚗 ;
Mask and pajama getup? Okay, so maybe the first suit looked like pajamas, but he was pretty sure his new one didn’t look that bad. Was it the big blue symbol on his chest? It was the blue bird symbol, wasn’t it. “Just be glad you haven’t met Batman yet. I don’t think he’d appreciate the pajama comparison,” he told her. He’d also say something about keeping loved ones safe- but at this point, everyone he knew also wore a mask, so was there really a point to the secrets anymore? Maybe at this point it was just to make sure the criminals didn’t know where they lived. “I think its more, I’d like to keep my day job.” Half true- considering he was sure his current boss knew about his night gig anyhow.
“There should be,” the grinned, “it sure would make life a lot easier. I mean, there’s an app for everything else, right? I’m sure someone will create one.” The green hair didn’t faze him. Everyone had their crazy fads, and bright colored hair was one he’d seen in his reality. It was a nice color. “It’s nice to meet you, Lorna,” the honesty- and the fact they were in an alleyway alone almost made him take his mask off. Almost. “I’ve noticed,” he mused, “it doesn’t seem to be just a mutant thing though- seems like a hero thing in general from your reality,” still, Polaris sounded pretty cool, “so if you don’t mind me asking, what kind powers do you have?” call him too curious for his own good, but he genuinely found mutants and their powers really cool.
okay, maybe she shouldn’t have laughed as soon as he said the word batman, but here she was – a hand over her mouth to at least attempt to cover up her laughter. “i’m sorry, really, i am. i don’t mean to laugh, it’s just –” she paused, trying to think of the best way to say it. “i’ve seen some.. wild stuff. i mean, i know of a guy named toad that has the ick tongue to match so when you say batman... the visual my brain gave me is really something else. i know it’s probably wildly inaccurate but here we are.” regaining some composure, lorna gave a nod. “fair point though, but are you really going to tell me that little eye mask thing keeps people you actually know from recognizing you?”
of all the things, it was almost a relief to hear some of the things their realities had in common – like there being an app for every little thing and if it didn’t exist, it would soon. maybe the whole reality merging thing wouldn’t be too awful. besides, this guy seemed nice so far. “have you met a lot of us? mutants, i mean. i figure the other hero people on our side of things would be pretty quick to introduce themselves.” admittedly, she didn’t really know many, only what wanda had told her of them. for demonstration, she raised a hand, magnetic green energy lacing through her fingers while a metal bar laying in the alley picked up off the ground. “magnetic field manipulation. the basic function? controlling metal, but there are a lot more complicated side functions to it.” she explained with a small shrug, allowing the bar to fall to the ground again.
𝚠𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚊 𝚖𝚊𝚡𝚒𝚖𝚘𝚏𝚏 ;
“it is alright,” wanda reassured her sister, offering a smile to keep things peaceful. she knew that the relationship she had with lorna was new, young, something that they both hadn’t had enough time to really dive into - and yet she found that the way they co-existed just worked. lorna was more on the side of cautious, held their father’s power at her fingertips, even had his ability to lead - whereas wanda had his quiet reservation and deeply seeded need to avenge what had been wronged to her. once it had been discovered of her lineage, everything began to fall into their precise places.
“come, let me feed you,” wanda had never truly been the type to have company over or to entertain, but the gift she had been given naturally, and not to speak of her powers, was the gift of cooking. being at the stove was always a stress reliever for her and she enjoyed the ability to create something wonderful out of a few small things. “is there anything that you are hungry for? besides pizza, i will make sure you have something of more substance,” she teased, giving her a smile. “yes, things have changed, worlds have merged.. it is… not good,” she shook her head as she offered her hand and began to walk towards the complex. “i was thinking about pietro and father, wondering if they’d be here or if they came back, that is all. but no mind, we can focus on better things.”
her hands shifted to shove into her back pockets instead – the ones that weren’t concealing a blade – as she rocked back on her heels. “thanks, i mean, if it’s not any trouble.” her shoulders shrugged with an attempt at casual. lorna didn’t want to inconvenience her, or make her feel obligated now that they knew of their shared relation. it was easier, and a habit, for her to push people away. it saved her what she felt like was a lot of trouble later when things didn’t work out, when she screwed up. but she didn’t want to do that with wanda, she wanted to try. the opportunity to have a sister, family and someone that could understand her, was too difficult to push away.
“something warm, like soup or something.” she mused – it was the type of meal she imagined families having together and not something she’d had often enough. her aunt tried her best, lorna knew that, but she was young and full of resentment for the situation that she never allowed her aunt to be that sort of family to her. “but really, don’t knock the pizza. not a lot foods can be good fresh and day old and cold. it’s versatile.” her lips turned up in a grin, taking her hand and easing into the walk. it was a little amusing, considering both were capable of flight. but in the world of technicalities, lorna was still something of a fugitive and couldn’t afford to stand out. she chewed the inside of her cheek – she’d never known pietro, only what wanda told her of him, but her head nodded in understanding. “you’re thinking theres some alternate reality version of them running around?” she asked, casting a glance over to her. “kind of nice to think about, i guess. just thinking there could be some version of them somewhere that things are.. better. even if they aren’t here. i don’t know, you know a little more about all that then i do.”
𝚜𝚌𝚘𝚝𝚝 𝚜𝚞𝚖𝚖𝚎𝚛𝚜 ;
“Where are you trying to go? I know the area pretty well.” Scott asks as his body stops walking forward. He adjusts the ruby colored glasses on his face, just taking some time to get this fresh air. He doesn’t know how a short stroll turned into being out here for almost two hours, but it was probably time to head back before a search party was sent out. His hands push into the pockets of his jeans, not sure what to do with them otherwise. There was plenty of places to get something GOOD to eat, but it depends on how much the woman wanted to spend. “I can do that sure. There’s a burger place about twenty minutes down the road, maybe longer by foot. The prices are relatively cheap too. You can always come get a free meal from XAVIER’S.”
“you know, i really wish i had an answer to that.” lorna cringed at the thought, realizing she technically didn’t event know where she was trying to go. “i had a motel room – and now i can’t even remember the name of the place. it, uh – had a green roof i think? and the exterior looked like it was probably white once but now it’s some murky off-beige color.” her shoulders shrugged, knowing it wasn’t the best description but figured there was a chance it could spark some memory. she supposed she could fly overhead and get a better view, but it’d also gain her more attention than she really needed.
“xaviers?” she questioned with a quirked brow. “that’s the school, right? for the gifted? or whatever people want to call us these days. you’re from there?” though her youth was spent in california, she’d since travelled around the country – new york was new for her yet, and much of what she knew came from the help of her sister. she also knew her father had some sort of sordid history with the school and for a moment, doubted if they’d be quick to invite her if they knew. “burgers are probably a good idea, though.”

loki spent most of her time 𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 her older brother. admittedly, waiting this long was a terrible idea – it only made things 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘴𝘦 , and she knew that. despite her flaws, thor had 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 been there for her, and though she wouldn’t admit it, the last thing she wanted was for him to be angry with her for faking her death for the… oh, what was it now? 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙧𝙙 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚? probably, unless you got technical with the circumstances of the last one.
her phone in one hand and a tea in the other, loki was 𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 to the world around her until someone spoke out, grabbing her attention. “hm, well, there is a diner down the street from here – i am headed there now, actually –, that serves 𝘸𝘰𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘶𝘭 breakfast meats. oh, and their fries are very good too. i could show you?” loki offered, raising a brow as she slipped her phone into the pocket of her coat. “i’m leah,” she 𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙙, holding her hand out to the other to shake.
lorna turned her attention, sliding her seemingly useless phone in her pocket at she heard the other respond, brow raising curiously. “tell me when you say breakfast meats, you mean bacon because i won’t say no to bacon.” she mused, eyes searching them for any possible sign of a threat. she wasn’t one to trust easily, particularly with strangers on the street, approaching with caution. admittedly, she still really wanted food. “the diner would be great, though, thanks. i think the gps on my phone is just as lost as i am.”
green eyes glanced down to the offered hand for a split second before accepting it with her own in greeting. “lorna.” she gave in return, deciding that until she knew a bit more that a first name basis would be ideal. though she was always cautious, so far all she’d seen of the other girl was someone offering to take her to a diner, and for that she was grateful. her hand fell back to her side with a nod. “by all means, lead the way. are you from around here, leah?”
𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚘𝚕 𝚍𝚊𝚗𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜 ;
carol had to admit, this whole alternate universe thing situation wasn’t as bad as she’d imagined. don’t get her wrong, however. she missed the comfort of her apartment, but also — she missed space. once she found out earth was in danger again, the blonde had promised herself she’d stay here until she had all the details gathered ; she wouldn’t make the same MISTAKE again. she wouldn’t leave earth almost completely unprotected and have another threat like mad titan thanos appear again. she hero didn’t have the answers yet, only small pieces of a big, big puzzle, and unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.
the stranger that stood just a few feet away interrupted her thoughts, and carol immediately looked up to face her. “ uh— hi, ” she frowned slightly, realizing that with everything was going on, food was the last thing people had been looking for, and that wasn’t an exaggeration. “ well, first of all, how’re you lost? having trouble finding the subway or something? ” carol asked with a chuckle, stuffing the completely useless phone on her back pocket. “ as for food … this is new york city after all, right? you’ll find at least a decent deli store or a 7/11 every two blocks, ” she continued, shrugging slightly. “ unless you’re not that familiar with the city that never sleeps, then let me tell you, you’re in for quite a bumpy ride. ”
lorna paused, turning her body to face the other woman as she shoved her phone in the back pocket of her worn jeans as she tried to think of the best way to explain how she got lost in a grid-like city where the streets were literally numbers. “right – well, as much as i like the city, i’m not really from the city, but i’ve been moving around a lot,” she began, pushing strands of green hair out of her face. “anyway – to keep it short, i forget what motel i’m at this time and what direction it was even in. i don’t really have an immediate solution to that so i figure making my stomach happy first is at better than nothing.”
her shoulders shifted in a light shrug with her words – being lost was more an inconvenience than anything else. there wasn’t much she’d lose if she never found the motel room anyway beyond money wasted on the night – she travelled light and on her own. lorna gave a small nod in agreement. “good point, i guess i just want to make sure i end up somewhere that the food is actually edible, you hear horror stories about that kind of stuff, you know?” there’s a laugh lacing her words as she glanced around their surroundings. “i can handle bumpy, i’m sure i’ve been through worse, at least.”
𝚍𝚒𝚌𝚔 𝚐𝚛𝚊𝚢𝚜𝚘𝚗 ;
Dick swore he wasn’t stalking this girl out on his patrol. They just seemed to be picking the same streets, and after a while, Dick could definitely tell she was lost and not from around here. He watched for a little bit from his perch on the closest building as she tried to brush it off to a few people who were on the streets. This wasn’t a good part of town, and it didn’t look like her phone was doing any help. It was probably just leading her in circles. Alright, time for one of the local superheroes to swoop in (heh) to help her out.
“Depends on what you’re looking for. You in the mood for burgers, pizza, or coffee? Because I can lead you to all three,” Dick dropped down from the building in a dramatic circus-style flip, “Google maps doesn’t tend to work correctly anymore since we fell into your reality,” he mused, “it gets all weirded out and thinks we’re in the middle of nowhere every now an then. Thinks theres a tree where the Starbucks should be sometimes.” he held his hand out to the girl, getting a better look at her now that they were face to face. “Nightwing,” he offered.
“i don’t think i’ve ever turned down a single one of those options in my life.” lorna shifted, brow raising in curiosity as she watched him flip down – her eyes glancing over his get up. she’d heard of these new masked heroes that came when reality became something of a multi-car collision, but he was admittedly the first she’d run into herself. “wow so you guys really do the whole... mask and pajama get up around here? it’s cool, i get it. if i spent every night punching criminals in the face, i wouldn’t want them to know my real name either.”
she paused, glancing down to her phone and suddenly remembering her slightly lost dilemma with a nod of her head. “right, i gathered that – maybe a little too late but i guess there isn’t really an app for what to do when reality goes bonkers.” she agreed, pushing strands of green hair out of her face before accepting his hand in greeting. “lorna dane, but i’ll save you a google search discovery, some people call me polaris. mutant thing, we aren’t really secret identity types.”
