why are you a raging alcoholic?
‘ because there’s no one in this world more beautiful or with a better personality than tori, and that makes me the happiest man on earth. ’
do you have a moment to speak about our lord and savior jesus christ?
‘ i talk to the man who tried to convince mina’s mom to swallow instead everyday of my life. ’
thoughts on siena?
‘ she seems like a wholesome child of jesus who would never betray her best friend, or perform in front of a camera on a certain website for people who pay $9.99 a month. ’
do you feel any guilt for screwing over tori like this?
‘ there’s not a single thing in this world that i enjoy MORE than hurting tori. i mean, have you seen her face when she cries? ’
who is better in bed, siena or tori?
‘ i did not have sexual relations with either woman. ’
are you in love with sophia?
‘ madly. ’
crouched in a corner of seeley’s deli, attracting confused looks as she waits for her cellphone to charge, features turned red from the bitter cold — mina sighs for the millionth time, the end of a LONG day more excruciating than the beginning. a waitress glares at the petite woman, her lack of money and food exchange an inconvenience for the hard workers; though none have the strength to call her out, the pack of customers occupying all their time. spotting a tall dark frame, mahogany hues roll upwards, before frozen lips call out to the man, form still folded in next to the only available socket on the wall. “have you seen victoria? i left my keys at her house but she’s not there and i’ve been EVERYWHERE looking for her — i’m locked out of my place.” ( @ofmorettis )
it would’ve taken a blind man not to spot her familiar form crumpled pathetically in the corner of the store, but tyler was certainly doing his best impression in an attempt to avoid the inevitable confrontation. as per usual, luck is never on his side. keeping his gaze trained ahead as if he’d never heard her speak, her response is met with an apathetic shake of his head. ‘i’m not her KEEPER. try the studio.’
SOPHIA: k. SOPHIA: as long as you’re sure, i’ll believe it. :p SOPHIA: he’s not MY boy…he’s just a boy.
TYLER: 150% positive, cap’n TYLER: who is, for all intents and purposes, yours yeah
’ please , you’re just drunk. like always. ’ perhaps that was what she wanted to hear , that his urge to see her , right then , right there , had exceeded all reason , that at this hour of night , in his befuddled state , she was on his mind. but reality had sliced through the four walls that entrapped them like a novice butcher’s dulled blade , jagged cuts bleeding rose tinged idealism out into measly puddles at her feet. there were two options , neither ideal , each in conflict with who she was and who she wished to be , ( the helpless damsel and her own knight ) she could continue to pine after the shell of the man she had once adored , still adored though with much less vehemence , or she could leave everything she ( they ? ) had fought for in pursuit of something much less tired , much less trite. she settled for a third option , one she was sure to come up with soon enough , but for now ? she kept him at arm’s length. too scared to let him any closer , too scared to let him slip any further. ‘ oh , so now you’re worried about how late it is ? ’ a laugh devoid of all humor slipped from the tip of her tongue , an arched brow armored features that had fallen soft in his presence. ‘ drink. ’ she said , sliding a glass of water across the island’s countertop , careful not to let her fingertips linger near him a second too long , careful not to look him right in the eye. there was no helping someone who didn’t want to be helped , but for him , she tried. ‘ it’s late , ’ she repeated his own words. ‘ i’m not going to send you out on your own at this hour. ’ in this state.
he’s come here for a litany of POOR reasons, but perhaps the one he’s focused most on is the one spelled out in a confession between scarred lips. it’s not the same, he knows, the way her once-soft gaze now tears into guilt-ridden skin. it’s not dark enough to be hate plaguing her bright blue eyes, but it’s not light enough to be love, either. tyler-- a man with an answer to EVERYTHING-- isn’t sure what he wants to see staring back at him anymore, but he can’t feign ignorance enough to not know what he deserves. ‘ like always, ’ tyler agrees with a proud little smile that burns himself more than it ever could anyone else. he’s burned through second chance after second chance without so much as a thought, and maybe in another, braver life he’ll be able to explain why he’s been reduced to nothing but a g r a v e. instead, like a coward, he CRAVES her hatred like a crude reassurance that no one suffers sleepless nights over a lost cause. it feels a bit final, this. fatal. hazel hues glance at the water, but he makes no movement to grab it. it holds the same clarity, but not the same burn he’ll crave until the end of time. it’s a lost fight. ‘ i should go. ’ the chair s c r a p e s against the floor with his sudden movement. ‘ thank you... ’ bruised knuckles rap against the counter top, but there’s no right thing to say here, ‘ for letting me see you. but i shouldn’t have come. ‘
‘ hating you clearly isn’t doing me any favors, ’ the BRUISED flesh of her hips can attest to that very fact, the dress she’d p l a n n e d on wearing cast aside for a much safer layer of denim. forever weak for pretty faces and SHARP tongues, all it had taken was a rough night at work and an even rougher couple of shots to clear her head before she’d a l l o w e d him to lay claim to her once again. that familiar fog lingering at the corners of her mind in the wee hours of the morning preventing her from recalling just who had made the first move as she’d watched him make a hasty retreat out of the room just down the hall. ‘ and jay clearly FORGOT that i took you off of the invite list so ….. ’ siena trails off, letting her form rest against the island, ‘ one night of peace and then i can go back to hating you ninety percent of the time. ’
it’s a TERRIBLE idea disguised as a soft-hearted attempt at a compromise, but then again, nothing between them has ever been a good idea and tyler can’t find it within himself to call out the redundancy. SO, instead, he acquiesces with a nod slow enough to keep the room from moving with it. ‘doesn’t do you much good, that,’ he answers slowly, fingers itching to turn around and refill his cup. ‘but sure. TRUCE.’
SOPHIA: i dunno, not if you keep rescheduling. SOPHIA: damn it. SOPHIA: why do you keep pushing it back? are you still mad?
TYLER: i’m not mad TYLER: just had plans to go out after work, is all TYLER: invite your boy over, put his cooking skills to the test
the quiet // troye sivan
SOPHIA: i can wait up late…we can go to the one that closes at like 2am. SOPHIA: pretty please? i’ll love you forever.
TYLER: you’ll love me forever anyway TYLER: but i’m not going to be back home tonight so don’t wait up TYLER: we’ll do it next week
she’s gone six years without ever letting the devil himself into her home and yet somehow has managed to do it twice in the space of twelve hours. the brunette is PAINFULLY aware of the dark haired male s l i n k i n g his way around her party like some sort of jungle cat on the prowl, looking for his next meal among the unwitting guests. ever a glutton for punishment, siena starts her approach with every intent to EXORCISE him from every last inch of her soul, clutching the very same amber in her hands that had sang the sad song of her downfall last night, ‘ i’d like to propose a truce. ’ ( @ofmorettis )
people always say it’s better to leave mistakes behind in time for the new year, but as the clock ticks, ticks, ticks ever-steadily closer to MIDNIGHT, tyler doesn’t foresee himself leaving before that last fateful tick of the minute hand. he’s got all he needs in the handle sitting on the counter behind him, and it’s far too BITTERLY cold to make the trek to the bars. there’s enough partygoers here for this particular location to not be a problem, but there’s a familiar frame slithering toward him that gives him the sudden courage to finish whatever’s left in his cup. ‘for?’
perhaps he finds the situation so AMUSING because the peacefully sleeping brunette in the other room seem unusually nervous when the topic comes up, but his curiosity is sparked & it’s very improbable it would die down any time soon. ‘ i mean, you CAN jump in there too, if you really want to, but take a shower first. ’ he teases, a small chuckle falling past his brims.
the rush of water flows smoothly from the faucet into the glass unlike his own apartment that seems like it was built in the middle of a nuclear fallout, and he downs half of it in one grateful go. ‘could join me and then we’ll call our secrets even,’ the male proposes with a twisted grin, leaning back against the counter. ‘then again, i’m not sure i want to catch whatever parasite mina’s carrying.’

‘ i can see that, ’ she responded, eyes trailing over his bandaged hand for a second before turning to look at the bartender. was it a surprise to find her with tyler at a bar ? not AT ALL. it was a surprise to her that it hadn’t happened sooner. over the years, arabella grew to be more drawn to people who could practically stamp the word ‘troubled’ across their forehead. she surrounded herself with people who either made her WORSE or didn’t try to change her at all. save for very few people in her life. she clinked her glass with his before bringing it to her lips, face scrunching at the burning feeling of it going down her throat. without a word, she nodded, placing the glass down on the counter and ordering another round. ‘ something tells me it’s gonna be a while before you start slurring your words. ’
the current amount of alcohol in his system is minimal to his baseline level of drunk, but it still warms his chest on the way down, coating his every nerve with a sense of ease that no non-toxic substance ever could. no one dares to look at the pair like they’re newcomers-- it’s far from tyler’s first rodeo, but it’s clear that this isn’t arabella’s either despite the fact that she quite literally shouldn’t even be allowed in. tyler’s ever-growing list of misdeeds leaves him far from reproach himself, so why bother trying to limit the girl’s extracurricular activities for a false sense of morality? ‘don’t tell me you’re starting to already,’ tyler says, peering down at the dark-haired girl with a grin of his own as he takes their second round from the bartender and distributes it among the pair. ‘the night’s still VERY young, can’t blame mistakes on one round.’
