Yo how immature can y’all be? I meant, not everyone has the artistic skills that YOU consider appealing to YOUR eyes, likewise for their OCs. What matters is that they are having fun.
What are fuck is your damage putting “”crappy artwork”” and “”crappy OCs”” into blogs like this? Sure, they are mary sues but, what? You never had mary sue characters before? What happened after that? You grew out of that phase. These people that you showcase will as well.
It’s very discouraging to other artists when you do this. When they see what you posted, sure, they can ask for it
It’s critique. Their OCs/Fanart are bad and we want to laugh at it.
Who are you? The art police? Unless they asked for critique you keep that mouth of yours shut and get your fingers off of your mouse & keyboards before posting and making fun of them. Unless the person is being a dick about it, you have no right to repost their pictures AND make fun of their fanart/OCs. -Even if they are being a dick about it, you still have no right because in the end IT’S CHARACTERS.
Well, if they see it they can just ask it to be taken down.
True. -but you still did it and it can remain in their head and it’s even worst when your edgy fuckno_____ blog has a lot of followers and they see it having a lot of notes. What goes through their mind: A lot of people saw me fuck up. A lot of them know that I’m uncreative and dumb. I should stop art completely so people won’t see me fuck up anymore. You have the potential to completely stop an artist from improving and trying again. Once again like above, if you really don’t like it either don’t look at it or politely critique them about it privately ( WITH THEIR PERMISSION! )
Your opinion is to post stuff that people are proud of on your stupid blog to mock and laugh at them & potentially discourage them completely and stop them from growing as an artist? WHAT!!! A!! NICE!!! OPINION!!!!!!!!!

Is the character yours? Yes? Then mock them.
Is the character yours? No? Then you have no fucking right to mock them or critique them ( without permission, with permission is allowed ). That person worked hard on that character they made and they are having fun of it.
Before, I used to be like this too. I used to make fun of those neon coloured wolves with dragon wings and cosmic power breaths. -but I stepped back and thought. What am I doing? They are having fun with that character and that’s what makes the character great ( in a way ). Not in a way that it excuses it of being a mary sue— but how the creator had SO MUCH FUN making that character. Poured their time and effort into it creating these wacky as fuck, colourful crazy characters that contrast so much. It’s painful to look at for other people and I’ll admit, it was painful for ME to look at. -but I was just looking at the surface. I used to be like that. YOU used to be like that. WE ALL used to be like that. YOU KNOW how much fun we had making those OCs. Best part? We weren’t hurting anyone.
Yet you go so low as to making fun of them publicly to discourage them. If you want to do it that badly, do it in private with a group of friends rather than posting it online where the risk of damaging the artist’s confidence is high.
I don’t fucking care if the drawing is a weird fetish drawn on a math book’s paper with HB pencils. If they had fun with it, you should shut your fucking mouth about it.
Like I said, unless they ask for it, don’t give critique.
It’s not hard to lend an artist a helping hand without spitting on their face at the same time.
