In a village where most experienced brutal killings with blood on their hands, she remained innocent. Soft. But Tilly wasn’t blind or ignorant; she knew of the whispers surrounding the man and more notably, Leon’s warnings not to draw close to him. She couldn’t help her curiosity towards him whenever she heard a fight broke out, and she couldn’t help feeling some sort of pity for him, but perhaps it was her hopeful nature talking. It was her slight stubbornness however that pushed her into his home without invitation, despite how much he seemed to think little of her. Dropping the pie she baked onto the counter, she ignored his warning in exchange for pulling the drapes back to let some sunlight in. “I baked extra raspberry pie this morning so I saved you a few slices,” she spoke up with a soft lilt, however there wasn’t a tremble to her voice. Unlike others in the village, she wasn’t scared of him.

A little scoff is given, something of a dismissal of her kindness when he’d always found anything but violence difficult to accept. “And I’m the first person you thought would appreciate it?” The words are harsh, borne from years of pushing people away when closeness only meant the risk of losing them but there’s some flicker of regret when she’s never truly deserved any of the vitriol he’s thrown her way. In truth Wyatt didn’t know why she still came around, he’d never been anything but coarse and she was far too soft to be exposed to someone as volatile as him. He supposed some might have found something to admire in the tenacity it showed, the sheer strength of will to keep turning up even though he’d made it clear she wasn’t exactly welcome. Before everything it was something that he might have appreciated but now he was too hollowed out by rage to feel much else. But as she flung the curtains open something struck a chord, an echo of what he used to be and his throat clears before he tries something less harsh but still just as gruff. “Raspberry, huh?”

“I think so too.” His arms circled around her waist from behind and pulled her close, pressing a kiss to her shoulder as they both looked at their reflection staring back at them in the mirror. “And our trip to the Capitol? How are you feeling about that?”

There had never been any use in lying or hiding things from Trevor, nor had she ever wanted to. “Nervous, as always.” Smiling softly she leans back against him, resting her hands over his to both take reassurance from him and give some back that it’ll all be fine. “But I’ll have you so it’ll be fine, maybe even great.

Solitude had become the norm for Wyatt since winning his Games and he vastly preferred his own company unless he was itching for a fight. Those days were spent prowling the Village in the hope some Peacekeeper would take the bait and give him the violence he needed to sate his anger but today was a quieter affair. Hearing footsteps the man doesn’t even turn around as he sets about rolling another cigarette despite the one already in his mouth, knowing there was only one person stupid enough to still come into his home. “Haven’t you been warned enough times to stay outta here?”

There was a certain kind of freedom afforded with being a Domitia girl. A slice of normalcy in a world surrounded by death, where Lyra could find herself sitting out in the sun with a sandwich in her hand. Halfway through her lunch and Lyra could feel someone looking at her and with her head whipped around, she stared back at the person in the question. “Does that work with other girls? Stare at them until they feel so flattered to have your attention they’ll give in to whatever you want?”

There weren’t many people who could turn a Dunn’s head when they were among the elite. The best of the best. A family almost untouchable. But it would be a lie to say that the little brunette hadn’t caught Apollo’s attention, whether it was the way she was far from easy or something deeper he didn’t really know but he was prepared to stick around and find out. “Most seem to like the attentiveness.” Flashing a grin he wondered if he had even a minute amount of charm that his elder brother did, not that he’d had any complaints in the past. “But if that doesn’t work a smile usually does.”

“Big week coming,” Trevor started as he begun getting dressed for bed. “Gotta head into the Capitol on Monday for those promotional shoots. And we also have Zahra’s birthday on Wednesday. I’m thinking we invite everyone around for a barbecue? How does that sound?”

“I think a barbecue sounds perfect.” There’s a smile on her lips when his presence had always been the only thing she needed to feel at ease, separate from the outside world that terrifief her so much. “Zahra deserves to have something nice held for her and bringing everyone together will do us all good.”

Guilt was an old friend by now, following his every move like a dark shadow casted over his life he could never quite shake off. Her anger was something to be expected after leaving the Capitol prison, but instead of a sharp arrow piercing through him, it merely bounced off and clattered to the ground. Nothing she could say he hadn’t already directed at himself. “It’s a small village,” he muttered, not quite meeting her eyes despite how much he wanted to see her.

Reluctantly she turns to face him and there’s a fleeting sense of regret that she doesn’t know when she last felt. At least not aimed towards another person, her life was full of things to regret. Still, no matter what lingering bonds remained between them, Jasper couldn’t bring herself to soften when coldness was the only way she knew how to be now. “Inevitable then.” The words are said simply, without any malice or icy shards of anger. Instead they’re something close to acceptance but it doesn’t last long when the lack of eye contact between them prickles. “I’m not going to strike you down for looking at me.”

A brow raised as a familiar brunette appeared in the doorway, words coming out dry when he knew that fussing rarely made an impact. “You know, I’d say I was surprised but we both know that stopped months ago.” Standing up, Caspian began to gather up what he would need to patch up whatever injuries she’d managed to collect. “What was it this time?”

Hearing footsteps the brunette looks up, gaze cold but not as detached as usual when there was too much history between them for her to be unaffected by his reappearance. “Should have known you’d show up sooner or later.” The words were harsh and much less than he deserved but bitterness and anger had seeped so deeply into her that she didn’t know how to be anything but cruel any more. It felt safer that way in a world that’s only certainty was death.

which muse is most likely to go to jail? Probably Wyatt or Jasper. Both of them are lose canons who don’t think they have anything to lose but Wyatt is the one who’s more consistently angry out of the two of them whereas Jas is unpredictable and volatile. She does keep more to herself though and has learnt to avoid peacekeepers most of the time whereas Wyatt sometimes seeks them out on purpose.

which muse would be the best parent? Caspian, Leon and Zeus would make great dads (although it could be argued that Zeus already is) because they’re all patient and would adore their child. Achilles would also be pretty great for the most part but he’d put a lot of pressure on them at the same time. Ailie and Laurel would be the most doting of mothers, even if Laurel might be a bit all over the place and Ailie would definitely be a pushover. A little surprisingly Delta would also make a good mum, if a little on the strict side.

which muse is, physically, the strongest? Zeus is without a doubt the strongest out of all of them. Achilles is probably the next strongest. If it was strength compared to size then both Ariadne and Delta are stronger than they look.

which muse would be the MOM friend? DAD friend? Ailie is 100% the Mom Friend. She has everyone’s best intentions at heart and it’s second nature to her to look after everyone and maybe even fuss over them a little. Zeus and Leon can both fall into the Dad Friend catagory too.

which muses are cat people? which are dog people? Achilles - whatever Terra and his kids wants Ailie - both really Apollo - dog Ariadne - no strong opinion but if she had to pick big dogs Athena - dogs Callie - dogs Caspian - dogs Delta - cat Jasper - cat Laurel - both Leon - dog Slade - neither really but cats are easier Tatiana - dog Wyatt - maybe a dog but he’d claim he couldn’t look after it right Zeus - dog

which muse would win in a fist fight against the others? This is a tough one because so many of them are good fighters and they all have their own strengths and weaknesses which would balance out. I would say probably Ariadne because she’d be the most ruthless and most definitely wouldn’t hold back. Achilles wouldn’t hold back all that much but there’d be a part of him that wasn’t quite in it when he’s turned off most of his aggression. Caspian, Zeus, Athena and Delta are all very good fighters but they’d be a bit more reserved and hesitant about hurting someone they knew. Wyatt wouldn’t hold back for most of them either but he’s not as skilled and his aggression can make him sloppy.

which muse is the most emotional? If it’s the muse that expresses their emotions most freely than neither Callie or Laurel ever hold back from showing what they’re thinking or feeling. Ailie is very easily overwhelmed by her emotions although most of the moments where that happens is behind closed doors.

which muse tends to bottle things up? Ailie, Caspian and Jasper are the most guilty of this. Over the years Ailie has gotten a lot better at opening up to Trevor and realising that she can rely and confide in him without being a burden but there are still times she finds it easier to just try to hold everything in. Caspian is a classic heroic type who would martyr himself to be there for others rather than ever lean on them because he puts everyone else first. Jasper just outright refuses to talk about any of her feelings about either her Games or what happened to her family so while she can be explosive in her anger she rarely says a lot.

which muse is the best leader material? Zeus or Caspian would probably make good, fair leaders and Delta also has a knack for getting people to do what she wants them to even if it comes as a surprise to most people. Achilles can also be quite authoritative but it probably wouldn’t be for the greater good like it would be with Zeus or Caspian.

which muse has the best singing voice? Ailie has a very sweet singing voice although a lot of the time she’s too shy to show it so mostly sings or hums under her breath. While you’d never get her to do it, Jasper can sing really well but it’s a talent very few people know that she has. Tatiana has been known to sing to distract her patients from any pain they might feel. Zeus, Apollo, Leon and Achilles have all got good voice and for what she might lack in talent, Laurel makes up for in enthusiasm.

which muse has the best fashion sense? Laurel is the one with the eye for fashion, picking up on Capitol trends and adapting them into something less outlandish so that the Victors feel more comfortable in it. Most of the rest focus on practicality or comfort more than fashion, even if they can all pull off the right look at Capitol events. Achilles and Ailie are pretty image conscious (one out of vanity and the out of keeping up appearances) so they tend to dress smarter than most on a day to day basis. Jasper and Wyatt tend to pull on whatever they come to first and Ariadne, Delta and Athena always make sure that whatever they wear doesn’t restrict their movement in any way.

which muse has suffered the worst injuries? All of the Victors have taken some pretty nasty injuries throughout their Games (except from Ariadne who will proudly tell you that she escaped hers without more than a scratch) Jasper and Ailie were the two that came off with the most injuries, Ailie having a bad time with a girl from One at the end of hers and Jasper never really supposed to have made it out alive. Ailie has a nasty scar that runs down her right side to the top of her thigh and most of Jasper’s torso is littered the scars, including some nasty burns. Caspian has a few scars on his arms but nothing major, Zeus escaped mostly unscathed but has a knee injury that sometimes gives him some trouble. Apollo and Achilles’ injuries are also minimal and Leon has a scar across his chest from a shallow sword slash.

which two muses would get into a fight if they met? It’s probably a daily struggle to keep Wyatt and Jasper away from Ariadne. The two of them both have chips on their shoulders about Career Tributes and Ariadne is not one to back down from a fight. The rest probably exist in relative harmony when they know there’s more important things than fighting each other.

I don’t feel like I gravitate to certain roles or genres. I just gravitate to what seems real or challenging. Mostly, I like to play people who are nothing like me. If I could do more of something, it would be comedy.
