Abigail was not certain why anyone would even be interested in doing an activity after being lit on fire. Accidently lit on fire to be precise yet he didn’t need to know that detail at this moment. Just in the small interaction they had, it seemed as if he was sophisticated. He was very well put together and it only attracted her further to him while at the same time filled her with guilt over the fact she had ruined his shirt. First with the fire then with dumping water on him. When he had encouraged the nickname it only caused her heart to further flutter with every passing second. Laughing as he encouraged her Abigail couldn’t keep the grin off her face. “Char sounds good. It has a nice ring to it.” Not being able to help herself as she found herself entertained by the overall idea of having a nickname for him already. The mention of chocolate caused a hum to make its way past her lips. “Yes. Well kind of. Milk chocolate. Not the dark stuff. There isn’t anything wrong with it as a thing but I just don’t like it. Milk chocolate and sweets in general. Like a smore with double chocolate sweet.” Abby ranted only to force herself to shut up instead of continuing her rant. It seemed she never knew when to stop talking. “Oh cool. Sure. Yeah.” She said with a nod as she moved to follow in his footsteps with a clear pip in her steps. “What do you do for work? Are you supposed to dress like that? Not that it’s bad. It is actually like super handsome but also like different.” There she went again putting her foot in her mouth.
Charles laughed lightly at her specific clarifications with regards to what kinds of chocolate she liked, versus which kind she didn’t, a twinkle of adoration in his eyes as he listened to her go on. He was honestly in awe of just how adorable this girl was, and he couldn’t completely hide that fact. “I...I’m sorry, are you real?” He asked after a slight pause once she was done rambling with a laugh and a shake of his head, before he tilted his head to the side a bit, as though to look at her from a different angle might reveal that she was a figment of his imagination, or highly convincing illusion. When she didn’t disappear, he laughed again, biting down on his lip a bit before he shrugged. “Well you seem real enough, though I’m admittedly a little surprised by that. I just never would have imagined that someone could possibly be so...adorable. I thought for sure you had to be some kind of a hallucination.” He was still chuckling lightly from this moment of revelation that she was genuinely there in the flesh, when he heard her question about what he did for work. “Ah well, I’m in the service of one of Wildemount’s wealthier residents. I help manage her household, and carry out tasks as she assigns them to me to help keep her comfortable and happy. I guess you might call me her butler, although she doesn’t refer to me as such.” He answered with a nod and a small shrug of his shoulders. “As for the attire I wear, that’s definitely related to my job, although in truth, I would choose to dress this way even if it wasn’t expected of me.” He added, a grin spreading across his lips due to her compliment. “Especially with it reaping me such praise as being ‘super handsome’ from someone such as yourself. Thank you, by the way.” His eyes lingered on her features as he took a moment to really appreciate how remarkable this entire turn of events had turned out to be, and how lucky he felt to, as strange and humorous as it was to think about, have been set on fire. Clearing his throat, he tore his eyes away from admiring her and brought them forward to the path before them again. “What about you? What do you do with your time, when you’re not putting out people who spontaneously combust?” He asked playfully, but also genuinely curious.
