tl;dr: saeron’s a weird ass (bordering on luna lovegood weird) child with a 4-d personality in daily life but morphs into a sexy beast when she’s singing to snatch up those dollars. low-key extremely bitter & pessimistic about the place life has put her in.
bio:
saeron grew up in suwon with 2 older brothers. her family owned a minimalistic-y restaurant famous for its noodles, so everyone was always busy with that.
saeron had always been humming and singing when she was little, but at age 12 she made up her mind that she wanted to be a professional singer. & nobody really messes with saeron when she’s made up her mind, so her parents gifted her with a guitar and singing lessons for her 13th birthday.
3 years later, saeron accidentally looks in on her father kissing some random stranger in the alleyway behind their restaurant. her father makes eye contact with her. the next day, that man is gone. poof. probably ran away somewhere, taking basically all of the family’s savings with him. saeron is understandably very confused.
life gets rough after that. the 3 kids and their mother move into a tiny apartment. saeron gets the idea to busk on the streets for some extra money. everybody’s lives revolve around maintaining the restaurant.
saeron’s brothers eventually move to seoul to try to get a steady source of income. later, they start sending home decent sums of money. it takes saeron a year to figure out that her brothers are doing some kind of illegal drug/casino business in seoul to make money. she’s angry and confused. but she can’t refuse the money.
it’s saeron’s dream to move to seoul to break into the music industry. unfortunately, it really isn’t an option. she’s stuck in suwon because she needs to help her mother & the restaurant. she moves into a separate apartment on the other side of suwon & starts singing in bars. she wants freedom so badly.
personality:
a quirky kid. witty, and not shy because she’s pretty shameless. likes doing things for the heck of it (which makes her pretty reckless) & doesn’t really care what others think.
a totally different person while singing. charismatic & sexy. she’s also not above letting strangers at the bar take her home after a set to make some extra cash yikes. a little promiscuous at times because she just doesn’t care.
sorta pessimistic about life. her asshole dad & questionable brothers have her believing that boys aren’t to be trusted & girls are beautiful fairies. low-key leader of your local girl gang! bitter because she can’t go pursue her dreams.
but loyal in her friendships & family-oriented despite everything. will sometimes morph into an Actual Mom because she’s protective & likes doing household chores lol.
