Sel,
By now you’ve got word of the man you thought you knew. Sorry, doll, wish I could say it was all a lie. I’ve avoided you since I heard you were back in Stormwind because a part of me didn’t want to see that look in your eyes when you saw me for who I really am.
See you around, gorgeous.
-West
Coward. Coward. Coward. Coward. Coward.
Seliras read the ‘letter’, she was presented with. Neeia had hovered over her shoulder in mild concern, but the half-elf felt the heat radiating off of the Bloodcursed’s body. The unnatural kind, the kind of heat one would feel in a wild forest fire, barely contained but bubbling to the surface. The spark was the piece of parchment she held in her hands, and the inferno roiled within her center. Was this it? Was this the part where she burst into flames and unleashed hell on the Wail and the bordering town they were anchored by?
“Sel… darling… what did his letter mean?” Neeia asked softly, studying the Siren’s profile with delicately knit brows. She had been distant still with even herself, the Bloodcursed’s other half a touch downtrodden in the cold shoulder. Perhaps this was part of it, perhaps she’d get an answer. Seliras was still. She stood in one place, letter perched in between iron-gripped digits. Slender ears twitched at the tips, the rest of her? She didn’t need to breathe, her chest remained unmoving as she processed his ‘goodbye’.
Rage. Rage. Rage. Rage. Rage.
Coward.
Neeia slowly reached to read the letter for herself, but just as a hand had gently reached out in a silent request for the item to be passed over… it burst into flames. She yelped softly, ears flattening against her hair.
Seliras’s hands dropped to her sides, watching the embers flutter down with the movement and the ashes flutter into nothingness. He’d betrayed her trust. Abused the gift she’d shared with him to save his life. And now has the audacity to not confess to her face, look her in the eye and tell her the truth because he was, what? Scared? Scared he would earn her ire faster than a noose would?
His shoddy apology was nothing in the air now. Her expression hardened, eyes growing glassy and distant. Turn it off. Off. Neeia’s concern was a dull thud in the back of her mind, a chorus of blurred and slurred words that had little meaning to deaf ears. Off.
Her chest filled with sweet nothingness. Her consciousness was numb, cold, a delicious void that she could fill with whatever calculated monstrosity she could think of.
“No.. Seliras, sweetling— darling, look at me—” Neeia began, but the buxom Siren was already moving, already leaving the room.
“You need to come back—” she continued, hurrying after the Vampyr as she rose out of the hull and to the deck. Daron was stuck reading his letter near the helm of the ship, a pensive frown pulled to life. His attention was raptured by his Sirens storming to the top deck, Seliras in particular glowing like an ember ready to take the ship down and her with it. Neeia’s cries fell on deaf ears as Seliras continued, her hands raising to hip level. Arcane sigils illuminated in the air before the space before her tore open. She stepped through without another word, Neeia hurrying to Daron’s side.
“What was that about?” He grunted, dark brows pulling together with a tired sigh.
“She’s gone. She read the letter, and she wouldn’t talk to me…”
“She’ll come back.”
“I don’t think she wants us to try to bring her back this time, Captain…”
Coward. Coward. Rage. Coward. Rage. Rage. Rage. Coward.
The rift opened, and out stepped Seliras. She knew where he’d been by the signatures on the letter. She settled before his swaying body, left for all to see until he’d be collected and laid to rest. She stepped slowly up the steps of the gallows, settling at his side. Huckleberry West…. Weston Bailey…. An emotionless stare settled on his blue-grey profile, a hand lifting to have clawed digits snare his chin, tipping his limp head toward her so she could see the look in his eyes.
So she could see the frightened gaze of a man that didn’t want to die. She growled, a low, foreign sound coming from the Siren. Her index finger dug into his cheek, dragging the nail down. Blood pearled around her nails, falling down the side of his face to dribble over her arm.
Coward. Coward. Coward.
“You’re lucky… I would have done much worse,” she snarled, shoving his head away from her, causing his body to sway again in the nighttime breeze.
“Rot in whatever hell you wind up in, West.”

His sirens were distant. And he didn’t like it. The ship was too damn quiet, and Sel was the source. She was dour, cold, quiet. The woman had a habit of late to look at the crew like her next meal rather than her friends.
“Tell me.” He grunted, coarse digits curling in the ends of silver ringlets that licked at a sweat-sheened waist. It wasn’t posed as a question, it wasn’t meant to be.
“What?” She replied tersely, smudged plum colored lips lingering at a scarred shoulder. She rose with his chest and sank back down when he exhaled in a slow sigh. Her head canted, staring at him through a messy curtain of silver curls, a soft violet hue looking particularly empty and hungry while she studied his profile. Thump-thump. Delicious.
His fingers fisted at the base of her skull, easing her head back with a single tug. Curls tumbled over her shoulder and she was suddenly staring at him from slightly over the bridge of her nose. Smudged lips thinned slightly, and a calloused thumb swiped away an errant streak of plumb, then the eye makeup that had smeared below her right eye. Silvery brows gave a tick upwards expectantly.
“You know, I can’t seem to keep your mouth shut on a good day…” He rumbled pointedly, leadingly, sea-green hues alight with his mild curiosity. It was a bait, surely. It worked, if for a moment, for there was an amused curl to a corner of her lips.
“I thought you liked it wide open, darling.” Seliras purred, head titling just as much as was allowed within his grip. He snorted, shaking his head.
“I do. You know what I mean.” Dark brows rose expectantly as her lips thinned again, a soft sound bubbling to life in the back of her throat as she situated her hips back over his in a slight roll onto his chest. Thump-thump-thump.
“Oh, please. Small-talk is a last-year’s memo.” She hummed; it was unconvincing, but if she didn’t want to talk about it, he’d learned a long time ago that tempting the beast wouldn’t go in his or anyone else’s favor. No point in trying to goad her any further. Darron grunted in response.
“What are you this year, then?” Twin exhales left the sailors as she re-settled, one calloused hand on a hip and the other relinquishing it’s hold on her head to pin to the small of her back. She stared down at him over the bridge of her nose still, soft violet hues pulsing into a hungry crimson. Thump-thump. Thump-thump. Thump-thump.
“I don’t know.”

Being the village freak isn't easy but someones gotta do it
sorry i tried to drink your blood i think you're cute
You can never escape your fate..
I wish I had all the answers.
West struggled to his feet, something dark and primal pacing just beyond the darkness that surrounded him. He'd felt it during the spell, the beast had found him. It scratched and tested the edges of his mind while he reached through the impossible for a chance, for hope, for the people.. for her.
I had to try, I knew the risks.
The beast's claws were seen first, then it's maw, teeth as thick and long as his leg, glistening, clamped around a blood red stone.
I may not be able to find the answer she hoped for. But I have the answer I was seeking. He's out there.. somewhere.. and I still have a promise to keep.
West drew the knife from his boot, gripping the handle with the blade angled towards his forearm. The stone reached for him, he could feel it just as he did when he sensed the beast while channeling the spell.
With the stone I was at my strongest, nothing was beyond my grasp. With it's gift of rejuvenation at the cost of life, something I was always good at. Sel will be pissed.. but I can worry about her and the consequences of this rash decision when I survive this.
The beast growled closing in as West smiled, readying the blade. All he needed was time, and in this place where all it did was repeat over and over, success was inevitable. The bastard clicked his tongue..
"Here, boy.." he whistled sharply before charging in.

“Sel? Darling?”
A blissful, hungry silence had been interrupted more than once this week, and it was only Sunday. Was it? The days blurred, just as they used to. Slowly did glowing crimson hues slide open, the back of her head propped on the lip of the tub in her chambers saw her gaze trained on the ceiling. How many days had passed? Three, only, but they were three days of solitude and rest. Neeia hadn’t been the only one to come running to check on the other beloved Siren on board the Wail and she likely wouldn’t be the last. She never was.
“Yes, love of my life and moon to my night sky?” It was in a tone she didn’t recognize, one of dread and exhaustion, a flat edge to her words that she’d tried to have sound affectionate.
“I’m.. just checking, is all, sweetling. We miss you.”
Sweet Neeia. Sweet, sweet Neeia. Her scent was pouring through the walls and the door, a delicate and floral perfume mixed with the sweet, irresistible taste she could feel on her tongue that was pounding in her chest. She could hear that, too, the blood rushing, the soft sighs, the gentle press of fingertips against her door.
“I’ll be fine. Rest is what I need, darling. Batteries and rest.” Seliras explained softly. Neeia knew Sel could hear the faintest of replies even if anyone thought she couldn’t.
“Don’t forget to eat.” Neeia whispered against the door before she heard the light footsteps disappear down the hall.
Yes. Eat. She was starving, insatiable. Daron was covered in bruises both out of lust and starvation, but she couldn’t use the man as a theoretical juice pouch and leave nothing left for him to function with. That wouldn’t do. Each breath she took felt like fire against her throat, in her lungs. Neeia had smelled dizzying in the best way, euphoric. It was dangerous when she got this way, let it go for so long. Without her ring it was difficult to keep the cravings in check, keep her tame. Keep her sane.
There were three people in the world whose bodies were the perfect meal, their blood able to satisfy for days, weeks. Huckleberry, Neeia, and Daron. She’d bullied one of the three enough, and darling Neeia was always a willing snack. Huckleberry... ever since the stone had been pried out of his body he went from electricity to.. wine. Speaking of...
The siren smelled fuckery afoot. He hadn’t been on board since she saw him in the City three days ago. Suspicious. Though a problem for tomorrow.
Silver ringlets brushed the wooden floor as Seliras shifted in her bath, instead of her knees tucked to her chest she was able to stretch her legs out. Arms draped over her tub, her right wrist swiveled and her fingers curled. A fire rune threaded between her fingers like silk and it kept the water warm. Not lukewarm, but warm enough to not scald. Her head tilted as she stared at the ceiling still, counting the bodies that still tromped around on deck. Louis, Harvey, Cent, Emilia. Neeia. Daron, though his was further away, to the right. Approaching...
This’ll be good.
The doorknob jiggled. A gruff sigh.
“Seliras.”
“Knock-knoooock..~” suddenly the door was thrown open, the doorknob properly broken as the overgrown, broad-shouldered Captain stepped through, with a flick of his wrist the door shut, but bounced and waddled ajar behind him as he stepped over.
“Now look what you did.. you’ll have to fix that, you know.” Sel chimed flatly as a corded arm dunked into her bath and curled around her waist, hoisting her up. Well. Bathtime over. How dare.
Yes.. Huckleberry was a tomorrow problem.

“Have you even read this?”
“Not for a long t— what are you doing?”
Seliras had been laying with her back flat atop the Captain’s desk, it’s contents long having been spilled off of it be it a tumultuous wave coming in off of the ocean or, well.. an arm shoving the paperwork and candles off of it. The inkwell had been toppled over, staining silver ringlets messily in tangles, and of course the woman was bare in her lay, displaying a series of smudged inky black handprints along her thighs, abdomen, and backside. A raggedy book was floating in front of her, a slender finger lazily swaying to turn the pages. Her throat burned, each breath was akin to setting her lungs on fire. Shit.
“Reading, sweetheart, what’s it look like? Come now.” She sighed dramatically, loudly, as the calf hooked over a right knee saw a tiny foot bob accusingly over to the still half-dressed Tirasian. Of whom sighed pointedly, though it sounded more like a muted roll of Thunder through his chest. It provoked a smudged plum grin from the Bloodcursed, who kept idly turning the pages. She hadn’t really been reading, but it was some nonsense about how to tie a knot or... something. Thump-thump. Thump-thump. Why, oh why did he sound so good?
“On my desk.” Came rumbled as a white cotton shirt was tugged over his head, shaking inky tresses over his shoulders as he eyed the siren across his quarters. Thump. Rumble. Delectable.
“Mine, presently, as it is my arse here and not yours.” Another foot wiggle.
“Arses don’t usually find themselves on top of paperwork when it comes to business, Sel.” He rumbled, reaching up and rubbing a calloused hand down the side of his face. The buxom siren snapped once, an ‘aha’ gesture.
“Right! I should have sat on the chair instead, why didn’t we use the chair?” She pouted, fingers closing into a loose fist. The book closed slowly, but remained hovering above her. His heart thrummed in his chest as he moved, the blood rushing in his ears, through his throat. How long...?
“Are you coming or not?” Daron grunted shortly after, and after Azeroth’s biggest sigh, slender legs dropped off of the side edge of the desk and she rose up at the waist, squinting over to him.
“Frequently, darling. I really need to teach a man how to be patient.” She groaned, hopping down quietly. A flick of her wrist in her next strides over to the Captain saw the book fly back into its place among the other small collection in the bookcase nearby, settling neatly. It didn’t take long for a rough hand to curl around her right hip, yanking her forward into a loose straddle at his hips and settling on her shins. She could nearly taste him already as she settled, her hands giving a slow walk up his chest. Pace yourself.
“I hope you don’t mean me.” He half-growled to her as he eyed her partially sidelong, any other thought dying in his throat as her fingers curled into a thick beard, urging his chin upward to peer up at her. It was always unsettling, those hungry, luminous crimsons finding his gaze, especially when her head tilted to stare at him like her next meal. Don’t kill him.
“I’m hungry...” Was all she said in response, and she felt his jaw tighten just-so beneath her cool touch. Looks like he was her next meal. Though he liked to think he knew his Sirens well, and Seliras’ sudden urgency was often borne out of neglect. He’d have words for her after she was done, but presently he was more focused on the ceiling rather than the sharp pinch of fangs in their exploration.
