See, my home laptop is a little /dead/, and I’ve been working with technicians who have won the “Biggest Morons of 2016″ by a marginal landslide. ♚ Ah. The direct approach. He should’ve expected nothing less from such a reputable character. The smile remained, and a soft chuckle passed his lips as he stood, fetching the kettle of freshly brewed tea that had been immediately snooped out by the detective. Those powers of observation, logic, and deduction on Mr. Holmes’ behalf were quite impressive, indeed. What an annoyance. “You seem a bit.. Frustrated, Mr. Holmes.” He said nonchalantly as he sat down a cup and saucer in front of the man. “To insist already that I’m traveling some sort of deceptive ‘route’, as you called it..” He tilted the kettle, the translucent copper liquid spilling onto the porcelain. “Now, forgive me for being a bit ugly on the matter, but that almost sounds like you’re accusing a highly respected scholar of wrongdoing. I don’t need to remind you that if you are.. Well, it’s grounds for slander and libel.” He craned his head to the other, tilting the kettle back into place, “Now, what was it again that you needed from me? You never said.”

♚ The air seems thick and pervasive in the office in which Professor of Mathematics, James Moriarty sat, thicker than it ever had been. Some kind of game was afoot; even he could feel a slight pressure beginning to weigh down onto his shoulders. Some of the silk in his web had begun to dissipate, but the structure held strong. Whatever meddling Sherlock Holmes was up to, it wouldn’t hold firm. Moriarty was just as brilliant as the detective, but infinitely more devious. That was his strength, and it was one that Mr. Holmes wouldn’t be able to trump. So, was it rage, excitement, or nerves that caused the tremble he felt creep up his spine as the legendary mind sat in front of him? He feigned friendliness; his face maintained an engaged expression, hints of a smile coming to the corners of his lips. No, it wasn’t a disgrace that he had caught the detective’s mind; instead it was more of an honor, a privilege, to have him here. “My word. If it isn’t Sherlock Holmes, himself. What ever brings you to this humble den of learning? Is there something that I can help you with? Something.. Mathematical, I presume. Why else would you schedule an appointment to see me? Please, can I get you anything?”

Because I’m having it right now with all these new followers. Also, how did Sherlock pull in Nancy Drew? I didn’t know this was a celebrity tag team sort of matter. Not fair. JMx

Rules.

♚;; Rules. They tend to leave a pretty terrible taste in my mouth. I’m not a fan of them. Really; I’m not. But it seems like a courteous thing to do. Puts everyone on the same page with me and all that jazz. So, without further ado, these are my “rules”: 1. I am not a guy who cares really if you take “my” icons, banners, etc. I mean, it’s obvious that they’re possess different type of editing than most images; but to suggest that they’re “mine” is pig-headed. These are merely stolen images that I’m using to further the aesthetics of my blog. I don’t own Sherlock Holmes, therefore, I own no Sherlock image on this blog. 2. Here’s the thing about Tumblr: it has a reputation for maintaining a community of overly-sensitive users. I am not sensitive, my friends. And in all honesty, I’m portraying a character who’s instinctive threat is to skin someone to turn them into a pair of shoes. I am all for for playing fair and being courteous; but don’t be a whiner. Most of you are adults, let’s act our ages. Also, I work in a field that no longer believes in “the muse”. Either you feel like writing, or you don’t. “Inspiration” is a parlor trick that just distracts us from our laziness. 3. Triggers. For Tumblr users, they can be a necessity. But for an outsider like myself, they’re little more than an annoyance. Sorry. Of course, there are things that make me uncomfortable. But to derail a story because I’m uncomfortable is.. Silly. I’ll try to respect other’s triggers; but in all honesty, if you’re not someone who can handle murder, guns, and mind games, the detective genre isn’t for you. I’m respectful to one another’s natural human rights to a high degree, but coddling is not my game. 4. I’m okay with ships. Makes this little game fun. I don’t have any particular taste; I like most all of it. I’m 21+, so NSFW is fine. In fact, I encourage those ideas. Oh, and my Moriarty is portrayed as bisexual. Keeps almost all the doors open. 5. My preferred method of dealing with drama is to publicly shame anyone who disrupts me and my work. 6. For other Moriarty writers, I am happy to discuss the character with you in private. (I’m a fan of all versions concerning the good Professor.) However, I’m a competitive little creep, and I’m here to monopolize on this criminal mind. Isn’t that the most childish thing you’ve ever heard? Seriously, if you’re burned, don’t take it personally. 7. I’m soon to be furthering my education to become, ironically, a professor. If I go on hiatus, or just disappear, it means I wasn’t being fed enough material to keep a pace. I sincerely hope that doesn’t happen. I believe there are many brilliant minds that need tapping into in this fandom.  8. Feel free to disregard anything I said on this list; I’m an adult, and I expect my writing companions to use their heads and act their age.  My god, look at this list. Yuck. Oh, well. xoxo, JMx
