âI donât know which one is more embarrassing. That I wanted to learn how to do the ârenegadeâ dance or that Iâve been trying to learn it for the past three hours and still canât figure it out. How can these thirteen year olds manage to perfect it?â
âitâs greek or whatever and associated with centaurs. thatâs pretty fucking dope. can you imagine if you were half-human, half horse? i know the bronies are nutting at the thought.â
âhalf-human, half-horse? would definitely make you run faster, but way harder to paint your toenails--or, uh, hooves, I suppose. oh gosh-- the bronies. I kinda hope that bronies arenât actually that invested in zodiac signs though.âÂ
he shrugs. âitâs one of those things where like, itâs scary but people canât look away either. itâs interesting to learn and figure out these cases and why people end up doing crazy shit like that.â maybe heâs the only one around here who enjoys psychology. if he wasnât a spy? heâd definitely major in something psychology or criminal justice related. maybe a lawyer? eh, maybe heâs not serious enough for that. heâs drawn back to the present once macy speaks again. âoh yeah, the JonBenet case is a weird one, always thought the parents did it.â ivory playfully taps her at the mention of a night light. âalright, enough of the jokes. i donât need a night light. iâm just being a bit dramatic in regards to how scared it actually makes me.â Â
âlike a plane crash.â she nodded. âfor me, the scariest part is that sometimes these people arenât crazy like people think they are. they expect them to look totally insane--but sometimes they just blend in with everyone else. like, then who are you supposed to trust?â she shrugged her shoulders. she nodded her head, âit definitely doesnât add up. didnât add up then and doesnât add up now.â she smirked at him as he tapped her. âhey, Iâm a big advocate for the night light. had one since I was like six.âÂ
âAnne! I figured you would come and see me. âOh. Wait, youâre not AnneâŠâ His enthusiasm was clearly reduced to a wry smile as he turned to face his visitor. A second later, realizing that maybe the other person would be in need of something, the alum straightened up by taking off his combat gloves. âSo, is there anything I can do for you, or are you just passing by?â He asked, raising an eyebrow as he leaned against a training equipment rack. @gallagherstart
âNot Anne--â she said, giving a small smile. âSorry. I could try and find her for you though, if you wanted.â she offered before watching him take his gloves off. âUm, I was just passing through, but now that you mention ask-- your, uh, gloves.â she said, pointing towards them. âwhere did you get them?âÂ
his eyebrows do that thing where he raises them to the top of his forehead, his eyes wide as it plays into the naturally dramatic show ivory puts on every time he speaks. âiâm a grown ass man with more than three years of elite training under my beltâŠâ he trails off, queue the dramatic pause. âyet i still canât watch the discovery i.d channel by myself.â he shakes his head. âi love me a good scripted crime tv series likeâŠ. svu orâŠ.criminal minds but something about those true crime documentary style ones make me wanna sleep with the light on for a few nights.â can you say, over exaggerating? @gallagherstartâ
âmaybe it would make it easier if you imagined that the true crime stuff was actually scripted.â she shook her head. âlike I have to believe that is the only way that some people out there can be so obsessed with stuff like that.â she shrugged her shoulders. âIâve only ever seen like two of those documentaries -- the one about JonBenet and then one about some cult-- and that one definitely made me sleep with my lights on.â she said. âmaybe we should get you a nightlight.â she teased.Â
â you know when people spell out all the other zodiac signs but then write âsagâ? itâs because they donât know how to write sagittarius. idiots. â
âbut like where did the word sagittarius even come from? like every other sign is easy to spell and then there is just sagittarius --âÂ
â natalia dyer, 23, cis female, she/her ⥠welcome back to gallagher academy, macy weston! according to their records, theyâre a third  year, specializing in âmcguyverâ survival skills & navigation; and they did go to a spy prep high school. when i see them walking around in the halls, i usually see a flash of (hair pulled back with a ribbon, her motherâs ring on a chain around her neck, and ruffle-cuffed ankle socks). when itâs the (capricorn)âs birthday on 12/28/1996 , they always request their french toast from the schoolâs chefs. looks like theyâre well on their way to graduation. âż taylor, 23, she/her, est âÂ
hey hey! iâm taylor and iâm pretty trash at introductions so this might end up being as disjointed as they come!
macy grew up in washington d.c. and was the daughter of a lawyer and presumed free lance architect who had to travel a lot for work.Â
she grew up with a fairly normal childhood, going to public school and accepting whatÂ
it wasnât until she was eleven that she found out that her mom wasnât actually who she said she was. macy had always been taught that the âspiesâ that she saw in cartoons and movies were just made up television and that they didnât actually exist. it wasnât until her mother told her that the architect job that she always traveled for was actually a cover for her real job. upon first learning this, she didnât fully understand the extent of what it meant and it took a few more of her momâs âbusinessâ trips for macy to actually believe it.Â
due to her momâs travels, it left a lot of time for macy and her dad to bond. and even though, he was busy with law school and eventually practicing law, he always made sure that he was home with her.Â
through the next two years, macy would âpracticeâ her spying skills, only to get told by her mom that her sneaking around and making up code names for herself and her friends wasnât the only thing that spies did. and from that point on, she was determined to learn as much as she could and do what her mom did.
however, her dad was not as excited for macy to follow in her motherâs footsteps. he knew the hardships that went with macyâs momâs job, all the things that macy couldnât understand at the time.Â
with this disagreement, a lot of the fights that macyâs parents had dealt with their daughterâs future and what they saw for it. her father wanting her to be ânormalâ and her mother wanting macy to at least get the chance of being âspecialâ -- eventually with persuasion macyâs mom won out with the promise from macy and her mom that macy would still be involved in ânormalâ life activities. it was important to her father that she always have a second path that she could take if she wanted--that she could be a normal girl with hobbies and prospects that didnât revolve around spying.Â
the summer before macy entered her spy prep high school, her mother began to teach her things that she might need to know. she taught her how to pick locks, decode morse code, sneak around -- and macy thought she was ready.Â
but spy prep school didnât come as naturally to her as she thought it would. she was surrounded by kids who had been training for this their entire lives and her few months of learning couldnât compare to what years of practice had lead these kids too. she definitely felt below the curve-- but that only motivated her to get better. she devoted her entire life to training and trying to understand all the intricate parts of being a spy. so much so that she had abandoned all the activities that her dad had encouraged her to enroll in so that she would be normal. things like ice skating, cross country, and piano lessons all seemed to take too much of her time so she put them to the side-- also leaving all those friends that she had made through those things. it made her feel like she was following her passion--but it also left her lonely.Â
the loneliness wasnât all that bad though because it allowed her to begin to excel where she was declining before and she always had her family to rely on.Â
macy remembered coming home from school during her first winter break and being met with an argument between her parents. something about her mom being selfish and having to leave again and running off to scotland (of all places). it wasnât until after the argument that her parents even realized that she was home.
it was later that her dad explained that her mom was going on a trip much longer than the ones that she had been on before and that she didnât know when she would be back. when macy discussed it with her mom, she practically begged her mom not to go. she needed her to be here so she could teach her more things. but her mom told her that it was important -- not that macy and her father werenât important but this was life or death -- and so macy and her father watched as her mother boarded the plane to scotland.Â
what macy didnât know was that watching her mom get on that plane was the last time she would ever see her. macy didnât know how long the mission was supposed to last-- but when her father called her at school and told her that she had to come home--she knew that it had to be over.Â
after getting home that time, she was met with the planning of a funeral for a mother that she thought was invincible. and after months of grieving, macy began to question things instead. she wondered what this mission had been and if her motherâs death meant that it had been a success-- which brought even more questions about her momâs death. she was told that it had been an explosion that had killed her mother so they didnât have a body and sure they had her personal effects but those could have been retrieved anywhere. she never told anyone (especially not her dad) but she wasnât 100% sure that her mom was dead. after all, there was always hope, right?Â
hearts drawn on her window when it fogged up, random four leaf clovers that she found, the feeling of someone watching her -- all these things pointed to her mom not being actually dead and macy chose to believe that these were signs from her mom. if she ever told anyone, they would tell her that she was impractical and grieving improperly, so she kept it to herself and tried to find as much research on her momâs mission as she could.Â
along with her diploma, macy also gathered another reason to further her spy education -- to find out about this mission and find her mom -- dead or alive.Â
after high school graduation, macy took a year off of school in order to explore europe -- or at least thatâs what she told her dad. if she would have told him that she was going to scotland, he would have forbid it, so she lied. being there gave her a little more knowledge, but there were still so many pieces of the puzzle missing so macyâs personal mission continues.Â
starting at gallagher had both excited and made macy nervous. she was ready to improve her skills in one particular area then still trying to ace all of them, but she worried that she would again be at the bottom of the pack like she was when she started prep school.Â
now sheâs in her third year and apart of the âmcguyverâ survival skills & navigation skill set, but she thinking about trying to add another one to specialize in.Â
macy can seem a little shy at first -- she takes awhile to warm up to people and doesnât always trust everyone on sight, but once youâre close to her sheâs as loyal as they come
she also likes to give advice and be a mentor to other people -- she likes to take care of other people and make sure that they donât feel the way that she did.Â
okay that got super long so if you were able to make it through all that I applaud you! but yeah, thatâs my child so far. iâm looking for all the plots so feel free to hit up my inbox or like this and I will invade yours! :D
