Aslan chuckled, his eyebrow rising teasingly as he slipped his hand into his inner breast pocket and produced a small flask of his own, taking a sip before offering it to the man. “A nice gin, or so they say. I’ve always been more of a brandy man myself.”

The duke nodded slowly as his eyes wandered about the office, “If you can promise your discretion, yes.” He finally answered as he took a seat and checked his pocket watch. “I’ve a younger brother who is hemorrhaging our fortune,” he explained, “or at least, I believe it to be so. I was wondering if you would be willing to do a little investigatory work into the matter, for a fee, of course.”
