u know what is lovely? bein followed by people called horny snakes or somethin
priceless.
(ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧
ordinarily, staring is creepy. but if u spread ur attention across many individuals, then its just people watching. odd?
It was not often that Zemar found himself in Rustboro, often sticking more to where Atash resided. His eyes followed people as they passed, a Vibrava remaining closeby him. And finally did his eyes fall on a girl that passed by, one eyebrow raising. She looked lost. Was this her first time here? "Are you lost?"
They were completely ignoring her. Not that she could blame them really. Valilisa was in front of her, therefore the Poochyena couldn’t see her hands, and Henri had always been hit and miss with instructions. Still, she would appreciate it if they’d just slow down!
The voice caught her attention, bright blue flickering away from tracking the hound to look over to a man.
Lost? Maybe? Could she be considered lost? She had probably been lost from the second she escaped out of the broken kitchen window…
A quick shrug was given as she darted to scoop Valilisa up into her arms, silent laughter shaking her shoulders as the canine licked at the skin just above the thin scarf she was wearing.
“You cannot have much heart if you do not show it. Child.”
Isolde didn’t know what Henrietta was saying, but she knew from the look on the strangers face that it was nothing good. Ignoring him for the moment, she reached out, running her hands along the Musharna’s back.
“Henri, it is fine, do not work yourself up.” She was surprised the psychic type allowed the touch, she didn’t usually let Isolde touch her. Not that it had lasted long, she’d had to pull her hands away to sign to her brother’s Pokemon. Henri nodded and retreated back even further, settling near Valilisa on the floor.
Isolde turned her pale blue eyes to the dark haired man and held up a finger, signally for him to wait a moment while she opened her bag and pulled out a small notebook.
“What you did was cruel. I don’t care if you apologised, you shouldn’t have done it in the first place. It wasn’t funny, at all. I genuinely thought I had found someone who could understand me. No one has been able to understand me since I left home.” She flipped the book around, so that he could read the neat, cursive script.
He bristled for a moment, but decided it was not worth getting worked up over. If that was how she thought of it, then so be it. She knew little of him after all, all she knew was what he had done wrong, but that didn’t put down his whole self.
His eyes found the girl once more, corners of his mouth tugging down for a moment before he gave a nod, letting her pull out a notebook and scribble down in it. He should have asked her to do that from the beginning on.
Patiently waiting, he finally peered at the words she wrote at him, letting a sharp fang move over his bottom lip for a moment before he looked up to her. “I honestly swear I was not trying to be funny. I was a fool. I didn’t meant to hurt your feelings. Like I said, the first sign I guessed it was a center you were looking for. The second time I just couldn’t keep up at all. So I confessed. I do not understand full sentences, no. I understand very little of sign language. But... I was in the wrong. And I will not apologize for that again, cause it will not make it magically right. I did not meant to upset you or hurt your feelings. I swear.”

A quick shrug was given as she darted to scoop Valilisa up into her arms, silent laughter shaking her shoulders as the canine licked at the skin just above the thin scarf she was wearing.
“No, you should not have.”
Isolde blinked in surprise as Henrietta appeared before her, dream mist settling thick and steady around her shoulders like a shifting scarf. The Musharna was glaring at the stranger, annoyed that he saw fit to mock her like that. Perhaps she didn’t love Isolde, and she didn’t take commands from her, but she had agreed to protect her.
No one could mess with Isolde except her. She wouldn’t allow it.
Speaking directly to the man, the psychic type continued to glare for a moment longer then drifted back again, bumping her head against her ward’s elbow, the tiniest offer of comfort.
“Do not mock those you do not know, you heartless child. Do you understand how hard it is to have words there, but with no way to force them out? Swallow your pride you fool, Isolde is not one for you to toy with, accident or not, I will not allow it.”
Zemar blinked once as the Pokémon moved forward, speaking directly to him. It caused him to swallow once, though he stood his ground, merely closing his eyes halfly as he dipped his head down once. He could understand the Pokémon’s anger, in a way...
But...
Eyes turned cold at the next set of words being spat out at him. Yes, he was a prideful fool, but he was not without heart.
“I am not a heartless child.” he finally spat, an icy tone to his voice. “I have more heart than you could imagine, even if I do not show it to many.” he hissed in a quiet tone before stepping back, closing his eyes once and sucking in a sharp breath, putting up a hand.
“I was at fault, I take the blame for this. I was, indeed, a prideful fool. But don’t you dare call me heartless. Again--” he turned instead his eyes to the girl he had spoken to, odd hues softening and the icy glint disappearing. “I apologize for that. And I hope others will treat you with more honesty than I have.”

The Tyranitar had been bored, there was no questioning about it. He had trotted around, had peeked glances at his trainer every now and then until finally he had made way to an unexpected bypasser.
Towering over him, he remained silent for a while before finally leaning in close from behind the person and letting out a low growl, teeth bared.
Keith had been walking around analyzing the shops a bit with Pip, his Natu, when he heard a low growl. His shoulders shot up and immediately he turned around, no knowing that he, too, was baring his sharp dragon teeth back. The boy’s growling and snarling was out of freight instead of challenge. Especially when shrinking and stepping back.
Pip, immediately looking up at the dark type, cowered and teleported in Keith’s jacket for comfort. Why was there a Tyranitar here? The bird looked around, chirping quietly and shaking.
Amaranth blinked once before giving a sharp noise what sounded most like a laugh. He made himself bigger, ruby hues staring down at the young boy before finally he blinked once in a satisfied manner. Scared at the boy had been, he had snarled at him.
Perhaps he had done so out of fright, but it was admirable at best.
It was not often that Zemar found himself in Rustboro, often sticking more to where Atash resided. His eyes followed people as they passed, a Vibrava remaining closeby him. A quick shrug was given as she darted to scoop Valilisa up into her arms, silent laughter shaking her shoulders as the canine licked at the skin just above the thin scarf she was wearing.
She wanted to hit him. She wanted to yell at him, tell him he was cruel. She wanted Galahad here with her to do the things that she couldn’t. Instead she continued to glare and hope he fell on his stupid lying face.
She told him as much, taking her hands out of her pockets to curse at him, repeatedly and creatively. He couldn’t understand her so she didn’t care.
The directions didn’t do much to ease her temper. The apology did. She stopped glaring, at least a little. Why was it so bad to admit he couldn’t do something? There were lots of things she couldn’t do, she wasn’t ashamed of it.
Stupid man. Stupid, stupid prideful man.
Perhaps Galahad had been right about the outside world?
Zemar took another couple of steps back before finally stopping when he didn’t dare go further. He already had nearly bumped into someone who had been walking behind him. If she wished to continue her way, then she was more than free to do so. He wasn’t going to stop her. In fact, he wouldn’t even be surprised if that was exactly what she was planning on doing so.
And whatever she had thrown his way; he was certain they were not kind words by the look on her face, a part of him could acknowledge that it was his own fault and he would accept it.
And she stopped.
He blinked his odd hues once, keeping them fixed on her before finally breathing out a sigh. “I am not without flaw. I did not want to disappoint a lovely lady into telling I could not understand what they were saying. I was hoping that your facial features and body language would help me along the way. I was not planning on keeping it secret for long, as have seen. Nonetheless, I should not have..”

A quick shrug was given as she darted to scoop Valilisa up into her arms, silent laughter shaking her shoulders as the canine licked at the skin just above the thin scarf she was wearing.
Isolde followed along, close but with enough distance that she wasn’t touching the stranger. She let herself look around, taking in as much as she could. This place was so very different from what she’d seen so far. It was like Lilycove had been when she was a child, before…
Her left hand moved up to her throat, fiddling with thin coral fabric tied loosely around her neck, hiding the old wound that had rendered her mute all those years ago. She wasn’t ashamed of it, not in the slightest, she just didn’t want people staring at it. It was unsightly, travelling from nearly one side of her throat to the next.
She looked back up when the other started talking, a frown quickly overtaking the smile, erasing it completely in a handful of seconds. He couldn’t understand her? Why had he pretended he could? Why hadn’t he just told her he didn’t know what she was saying? Why did he lie?
Bensiabel sensed her mood shifting from glee to something close to anger and peered at the stranger from his place on Isolde’s shoulder. As if she had been told to do so by the tiny Ralts, the Poochyena by her feet started growling.
A click of her tongue had Valilisa settling down and Isolde dropped her hands into the pockets of her white cardigan, taking away her speech from the cruel stranger. With another withering look, the dark haired girl pushed passed him.
She’d find her own way to the fucking Pokemon center.
Oh. Now he had really done it. Why hadn’t he just fessed up that he knew not what the other had been saying. Merely had guessed what she had. Now he was further away from home. A pity, his silver tongue had completely left him here in this foreign land. He had spent too little time with those who could speak not. There had been one at home, but conversation had been little and mostly done with pen and paper.
Odd hues watched the girl as she left, remaining quiet for a moment before finally he accepted what he had done had been wrong and followed after her quickly, coming to a stop before her and holding up his hands, walking backwards and praying he would not end up tripping over something.
“Forgive me for making you think I knew what you were saying. I merely guessed you meant the Pokémon Center, I should have told you straight away that it was not so. My pride took the better of me. I didn’t want to--” he pursed his lips for a moment before giving an apologetic smile. “I didn’t want to admit I’m actually bad at something, that was wrong of me. I should not have lied to you. I won’t bother you any further than this. If you keep going straight from here, take a right at the second street over there, you’ll eventually find the Pokémon Center. I’m sorry, once more, I hope your stay at Rustboro will be fine.”
He could understand her? Isolde beamed, her entire face lighting up. FInally! Someone who could understand her! Her hands fluttered quickly once more, flashing words she couldn’t get her mouth to speak.
“I’m so glad I found someone who understands! There have been literally no one since I left home!”
Isolde clicked her tongue to get Valilisa to follow along as the dark haired stranger led her to where she needed to be.
The smile never once left her face.
He blinked twice as Snapper rolled her eyes, looking even more so amused as it were. Her thin wings opened and she took for the sky once more, leaving Zemar to deal with the situation he had gotten himself into. The girl was not a danger, the Vibrava did not think so.
And all Zemar could do was take in a deep breath. Silver tongue would do little if one didn’t quite understand what was being said. By the way she had beamed when he offered to take her to the Pokémon center, he could only assume he had guessed correctly. And through doing so... Perhaps she thought that he understood what she was signing?
Body language, facial features were the key.
“The center is not far from here.” he finally spoke in a silken voice, walking forward quietly before turning his head a bit. Amaranth was still within his Pokéball, he was too large to roam about. But he was certain his Absol would end up sauntering after them.
“Listen...” he finally spoke, giving a soft smile. “I do not mean to put a damper on your mood but I must confess I... I know not what you’ve been signing at me... I know a few basic things... But nothing complicated. And no full sentences. Forgive me. I should have stated this from the beginning on.”
It was not often that Zemar found himself in Rustboro, often sticking more to where Atash resided. His eyes followed people as they passed, a Vibrava remaining closeby him. Everyone was being so helpful… It was turning out to be nothing at all like the world as Galahad had protrayed it. If she believed him, even for a moment, it seemed like the whole world was full of danger…
The stranger was asking her questions, more than one, so she couldn’t just reply with yes or no. The wriggling canine in her arms meant that she couldn’t sign, or go for the notebook in her back if he didn’t understand her so Isolde placed the Poochyena back down and let her hands flutter in front of her, asking for the Pokemon center without saying a single word.
Beside her, Henrietta made no attempt to translate her movements and the Ralts on her shoulder was too busy trying to hide behind her dark curls to be much help at all.
He should have questioned only one thing instead of going for two. Of course she could not answer him like that. And he knew very little of the signs she was throwing at him... It appeared that the Pokémon were not of much use either. His eyes found Snapper for a moment, who was looking at the crowd with a somewhat amused look within her eyes, though she made no sign of helping either.
Fine, then he would take a guess.
“The Pokémon center, it is?” he spoke with silken voice and a smile slowly curving his lips upward. “Ofcourse, let me lead the way.” he hummed, gesturing into the direction where the Center was.
And if he was wrong? He’d talk himself out of it somehow.

7. Pretended to be wounded just for attention
The Krokorok had sauntered around the place with an amused glint in his grey hues, letting them shift from place to place before finally falling on a girl who apparently was eating something. And she hadn’t taken notice of him yet.
Good.
Promptly the Krokorok fell to the ground, letting out pathetic little noises and holding onto his stomach, laying flat on his back.
Perhaps with the right amount, he would get not only a bit of attention, but also some food. Two in one hit, it definitely would be!
Eating outside was fun. Definitely fun, and Alex needed to do it more! Some good Hoennese food, a nice breeze…
As she reached up to put another note in her mouth, she noticed the Krokorok ambling towards her… And then the redhead giggled as the Ground-Type dramatically flopped to the ground.
“Oh, no, how terrible!” Alex cried, eaqually dramatic look on her face. “Poor Krokorok is clearly hurt! Perhaps a bit of cood will ‘cure’ it?”
She lowered the dumpling she was holding slightly, not quite within range of the Pokémon’s arms but certainly close enough if it was determined to try, tapping her chin with a pseudo-thoughtful expression.
The Krokorok gave a pitiful little whine, looking up at the girl who had her eyes locked on him. Was it just him or was she putting up just as much drama as he had been?
Oh this would prove to be fun.
Giving another whine, he tilted his head, staring up at her with sad grey eyes before ambling a bit closer, and finally snapping his mouth forward, ready to munch down the food if his teeth would’ve gone over it.

6. Stole an important item from your character.
He just had wanted to play a bit! His owner had been busy talking with his brother, so Alkali had trotted along the place until he bumped into some girl. He had watched her intently, a thoughtful look on his face before finally his eyes had fallen onto the phone.
And without a second to waste, the Umbreon had snatched it from her hands and dashed off, tail wagging happily.
Surely she would play with him!
Nodding her head up and down as she walk down the street. On her phone were a playlist of songs she made, and it was plugged with her trusty headphones.
She pay attention to the music, letting the sound of its tempo and rhythm into her mind until she felt a bump, causing to drop her phone to the floor with a yelp. Jack turned to curse at, only to shut up when she saw a umbreon. She was hesitated at the sight of it. Jack never seen one in real life more than in TV and in textbooks. She did look away, her jaw clenched and inhale at what the hell this time. She pull down her headphones to her neck, and look down at her phone on the ground. Jack’s shoulders drop with a deep sigh, shaking her head.
“Great” She thought to herself before kneeling down to reach for it. It wasn’t until she forgot a fucking umbreon was there the whole time, that he, of course, snatched her phone the moment she was about to grab it and she turn to see him, and watched her headphones get unplugged (really hard) as that Pokemon begun to dashed off with her phone, and she can hear her own music playing so loud from that damn phone of hers. So yes, Jack almost screamed after him.
“You fucking shi–!” She flushed embarrassing, and begun to sprint off, chasing after the Umbreon under the repetition of “fuck” and “Arceus damn it” under her breath.
The dog looked back once at the girl that was chasing him, tail wagging rapidly before he darted around a corner, skidding to a stop there and pressing himself close to the wall. With some luck the girl would run straight past him!
Perhaps he could bring the phone to his owner and they could all play. All three of them! That would be fun. Though the words that had been thrown after the dog hadn’t been so fun.
Surely the girl wasn’t mad though, no way!
It was not often that Zemar found himself in Rustboro, often sticking more to where Atash resided. His eyes followed people as they passed, a Vibrava remaining closeby him. Lips curving upward slowly, he finally let himself slip from the wall he had been sitting on, drawing the attention to him and causing the Vibrava to take a sharp turn in the sky and fly closer to the tanned male, resting upon the wall he had been sitting on not too long ago.
The girl had spoken not, at all. Her laughter was silent too, though he was well aware she was laughing as she held her young pup. He remained silent for a while, finally giving a light chuckle.
“Are you looking for the Pokémon center?” he questioned, tilting his head. “Or perhaps the gym?”
