    "Aaah, that's good to hear," the vampire says, expelling a sigh of relief. Though he did not doubt that the area of collision still ached with lingering pain, at least he would not have to pay for hospital bills. He ruffles thick, red locks, a sheepish expression forming on his face. 

    "I know, I know. It probably wasn't a good idea to practice so late, but there's fewer people crawlin' around, and since I wanted to get better, I need to practice sometime, y'know? Maybe soccer isn't my thing; I figured it would've been easy 'cause you're suppose to use your feet, but maybe I need something more, er -– handy? What's that one sport with a bat -– aha, baseball? Yeah, maybe baseball will work. Geez, ah...do you think you'd need ice for that? I have some in my freezer; oh! or maybe a convenient store will have one of this lil' ice packs!"

   The vampire's eyes lit up. Though the comment could have ticked off the average person, he was desperate to get back to work again. Jobs were scarce, and he could hardly keep one for more than a month. He'd take what he could get. 

    "Ooh! I could do that! I mean, I don't know how good'll be, but I'll go for it if you'll have me!"

"If I could, I would've brought you a pumpkin spice latte, but 'ere out of season. But aha, y'know -– out and about! I went back to Ireland for a bit, checked up on the old family's farm only to find out it's no longer existent. Should've expected that considerin' I hadn't bothered to pay a visit since they offered me up. Guess you could say I'm back now!"
