about.
born as the youngest child of anastasia & heath. doesn’t remember their father at all, not even how he looks like, and prefers to keep it that way.
has major younger sibling syndrome. impulsive, dumb, kind of a demon child at times. definitely gave her mother a lot of trouble as a kid / teenager.
they grew up with two older brothers around, which caused stevie to start struggling with their gender identity when their adolescence hit. they were torn between wanting to look more like cyrus and elijah but also feeling comfortable with their femme side for years. they identify as non-binary now and go by she/her and they/them pronouns, not exclusively having a preference for either.
kind of just lived in the moment so they never really acquired a lot of passions growing up but that certainly changed when their brothers started playing musical instruments. the two had always been rockstars in stevie’s eyes, they wanted to be just like them, so it didn’t take long until they were begging their mother for music lessons.
the drums, however, is what they truly fell in love with. always a punk rocker, they quickly became obsessed with making loud and aggressive music. the fact they got to play with their brothers was also an added bonus.
the band was born ( stevie definitely suggested some stupid name like rotten pig brains ) and her interest in studying was drowned out by her love for music. she already wasn’t the best student, rarely attending classes and was often in detention with the most horrible grades, so her decision to dropout shouldn’t have come as such a surprise. mama mallard was obviously furious but stevie had always been as stubborn as they came. it was to no avail to try and change her mind.
and so graveyard hit the road, on their way to the land where dreams came true. clearly, things worked out for them and after a few months of struggles, they got themselves a record deal. at the cost of innocent lives but that’s not something stevie likes to think about... much.
things were great, fucking perfect even. sold out shows nearly every night as the band grew in the media, making the sound they wanted to make, finally having the money to live the life they’ve always dreamed of. but behind the scenes, stevie saw everything that their record label didn’t want the public to know. she watched her brothers become addicted. she watched them start to despise each other. they’d fight, punches being thrown sometimes, and she felt completely helpless. it was as if her family was being torn to shreds in front of her and she couldn’t do anything about it.
she retracted, pulled away from the people she loved the most. the once lively person completely disappeared. fame wasn’t all that they had dreamed of, after all. it was exhausting and soul-sucking. but stevie didn’t want to make things about her, never seeing her problems as important as her brothers’. they needed the help, the attention, not her. not even when she developed an eating disorder, barely having the strength to play half a show before growing tired.
but the final straw was when elijah overdosed and died in front of the whole band. what was supposed to be their best night, the night they’ve looked forward from the moment the band was formed, turned out to be a disaster. stevie thought about quitting the band but cyrus beat her to it, taking the flight back home without telling anyone about it.
they didn’t blame him, they were actually happy that he had decided to put himself first. they knew none of them were happy anymore, unfortunately. and as much as it pained them to leave their life behind, afraid that they’d never tour or make music again, stevie moved back to roswell with her brother.
that decision was the best for the band and the siblings in the moment. sure, there’s still fights and arguments, but the risks are way lower now with cyrus and elijah focusing on their sobriety and stevie recovering from her eating disorder.
personality wise, stevie is definitely a weird one. their interests include learning more about the supernatural, punk music, horror movies, and doing spells & hexes in the woods at night. they’re feisty, reckless, opinionated but they’re also warm, caring and gregarious. sometimes they need a moment to recharge their social battery and can be quite jittery when nervous due to their anxiety but they’re very lovely to those they care about.
they lived with their older brother, cyrus, for a couple of months in his trailer but moved out to an apartment with a roommate. they also have a bearded dragon named after one of their idols, joey ramone. isn’t really the best with kids but loves their niece, iris parker, and would do anything for that little buddle of happiness.
