“that’s a bummer,” he told her quite frankly; his inner self constraining the amount of vulgar words that could potentially spill out of his mouth like a running tap. being controlled bothered him to no extent. he hated the idea of someone controlling him; be it in regards of his job, or him himself as a person. perhaps that was one of the reason why he turned down such a big offer for his band in the past. the thought of changing their sound to suit the trend nowadays resulted with him storming off. thank god his band mates were loyal, or they could just fuck the hell off for all he cares. “no such thing as reasoning with them, i assume?” he could almost cringe from his well-mannered facade. god, how badly he wanted to hit his head against a brick wall. “you should run when you get the chance to,” he joked, though really, he wouldn’t mind the slightest bit in kidnapping her – just so she could be free for a day.
river narrowed his eyes just slightly from her words; not able to catch that what she had uttered was harmless. he only understood after a short few seconds and with that he chuckled nervously. “no one would bother,” he laughed – the thought of eliot leaving reminders for him sounded all too strange; it’s more like horrible puns and dirty jokes – that held a much higher chance. “it takes too much time and effort – i don’t think it’ll be effective; so i rather not waste anyone’s time.” his brows cocked up from surprise, and he kept quiet for a brief moment; as though he was waiting for her to correct herself. “you sure?” he asked; a small smile growing on his lips. “well…” he hesitated, turning back to look over at his parked vehicle before turning back – once again letting out a chuckle of disbelief. “lets go then?”
“oh you can try, emphasis on try though.” violet couldn’t help but let out a frustrated sigh at her situation, no matter what she did there was always a plan, someone telling her what was next, what she had to do, where to go, who to see, what to say. She felt like a puppet. She felt like even more of a puppet with ivory around, she had to be extremely careful with herself and her secret now even more so. She had been careful before, but now she had to be ten times more careful. But all she wanted right now was to be free, to do as she pleases, but that was far away. “no matter what i do, someone has a plan. or a schedule. i envy you.” she admitted to him.
“i would.” violet told him seriously, it was an amusing thought, she had no idea how people forgot everything, she had everything ingrained in her brain. had reminders written everywhere: her phone, her journal, her fridge door and on her laptop. if she forgot anything, she’d be screwed. “i’m sure.” she told him, her grin getting even bigger, she could see how surprised he was. “yeah, lets go.” she agrees before her eyes started to search, “do you have another helmet?”
