PINK WRAPPED AROUND PALE WRIST & DOE EYES drank in the exciting environment -- despite what she feels , allison still likes being a KID. being able to let her hair loose and dive into the recklessness of youth. so she started with observing the scene as her fingers wrapped around a cup filled with dark soda. “ it seems like a lot of people are enjoying this. “ voicing out to the person next to her , she smiled. “ it’s good to see how . . . excited people can get. “

For a brief moment they were just two young adults sitting in a diner booth, showing soft affections for one another. It was almost normal, almost. Conversations always shifted back to the less pleasant side of their lives. “I know what you mean. There’s a kind of electricity in the air like just before a storm.” Without realizing it Scott had started to twist a strand of Allison’s hair around his finger. “Whatever it is I know we will make it through, together. I mean, my girlfriend is a total badass so I’m well protected.” There was that signature Scott McCall puppy grin.
SCOTT MCCALL IS SWEET & SHE IS ENJOYING every moment of it. his affections were met with a genuine smile and a soft kiss to his lips ; she was savoring her moment with him for he was right , there is an eerie stillness in the air & she was certain a storm is approaching. it would be shocking if they were actually given a break , given peace to enjoy their youthful lives. “ hmmm. “ she tilts her head to look at him , her mood lighting up. “ i think you are right about that mccall -- i’ll protect you from all the monsters lurking under your bed. “

DIANA LAUGHED AND DIPPED her head down momentarily, then brought her face back up to look at allison. ❝ a little crazy actually. i mean i’ve been back for a little while, but i’ve been keeping it pretty low-key. ❞ her eyes drifted down to her coffee. ❝ i haven’t even told my dad i’m back yet. ❞ she looked up and gave allison a half-hearted smile. ❝ but i’m doing better then i was before i left. promise. ❞ she paused before continuing. ❝ so tell me about you, what did i miss? how was your summer? ❞
IF SHE WAS AN EXTROVERT , SHE WOULD have thrown her arms around the girl and pull her into a dramatic embrace. but it would be awkward & so allison remained still. it all seemed like a formality -- the small talks and the smiles -- as if they were estranged. she supposed it was the familial bond that kept them together. other than that , they were two different people with two different ideals. yet , she clung on , and she is not ready to give up this tie just yet. “ don’t worry , your secret is safe with me. “ a smile given ( an attempt to be playful ) as allison took a step closer. “ not surprisingly , my summer was pretty boring , just trying to get back into normal things like scott and school. “ and a brief pause was given before : “ if you are not staying with your dad . . . where are you staying ? “

There was a hazy smile on his face as she moved to the spot beside him. He tried his best not to involve Allison in his supernatural dealings but she was far more stubborn then him. Also way more capable of handling herself in any given situation, specially physical. “Well I wouldn’t be making it.” His eyes looked Allison over as he lazily wrapped an arm around her shoulder, keeping her close to his rigid frame. “How was your day?” He asked, unable to stop himself from kissing her on the cheek.
“ RIGHT. “ SHE LAUGHED SHEEPISHLY AS SHE LEANED INTO him , her smile only grew bigger as she felt his lips against her cheeks. “ maybe i do need the coffee. “ laughing again , she attempted to hide her slight embarrassment behind her hands. but that did not last very long , not when she is with scott , not when he makes her feel like a better person. “ it was a long day full of classes , nothing too extreme. “ a sigh heaved from her chest , allison turned to look at him. “ it is weird , don’t you think ? how quiet things have been lately . . . it doesn’t feel right. “
Walking down the sidewalk Caroline was admittedly not paying attention to where she was going, or more so who may end up being in her way. Instead, she was concentrating on balancing the stacked coffee tray before her while sending off a text confirming that she was on her way with the delivery. For once in her life she wasn’t fully certain what she was doing spending her summer between degrees working under an event planner had seemed like a good enough idea. Especially if her tentative plan was starting her own business, or empire an empire sounded pretty good too. Right in the middle of her musings however the blonde slammed into another coffee thankfully all cold going everywhere, her phone luckily safe. With a screech she flew back a few steps turning a scathing glare onto the other coffee victim. “Seriously?– you better have a credit card on you or something because those coffees are being replaced. Now.” She was not going to go down for this. “My boss is a monster without coffee and she will kill me.”
SHE HAD NO IDEA WHAT HAD JUST HAPPENED ; the street was just crossed & people walking in uniform to get to their destination. her reflexes ( sharp like a feline ) was the result of long trainings and it had saved her from trouble many times before. right now , however , is the only time she wished she had moved fast enough. fast enough to move the young teenager aside to prevent the coffee fiasco. but , alas , allison argent is not wonder woman & the teenager is the poor victim of caroline’s feisty temper. lips rolled between her teeth , she had not wanted to get involved. she should not get involved. but the poor kid looks like he was unsure of how to handle the situation. and , of course , being so young , she was sure he was incapable of paying for expensive coffee. “ accidents happen. “ stepping in , she surveyed the damage. “ is there another solution ? “

Her scent engulfed him like falling into a warm bed. It only made his eyes ever the more hazy as he looked to her. The light tracing of her hand on his head made him act like an even bigger puppy than he was. Inching his neck up, pushing his curly brown hair further between her fingers. Scott was a total sucker for head rubs. “Never.” Allison was the only constant thing in his life. The only thing that kept him from going over the edge. It was her in all her perfection that kept Scott McCall Scott McCall. “Can I get you something? A milkshake or some coffee?” He drew her hand down the side of his face, gently kissing the inside of her palm before massaging the tendons.
HIS REACTION ELICITED A DIMPLED SMILE ; eyes softening as she ran her fingers gently against the side of his face. scott mccall is the definition of gentle -- his heart is gold & his touch is filled with care. he is magnetic , and she knows that his appeal is not just apparent to her. the leader of the lost kids -- she placed her bag on top of the table as she slid into the spot next to him , scooting close enough so that her legs are pressing against his. “ you know , coffee does sound amazing right now. “ she said , her eyes taking in his exhausted features. “ but you’re enough. besides , you look like you would fall asleep while making it. “
DIANA SIGHED AND walked out of the station, coffee in hand. she had to make her own since going to the boathouse was basically out of the question. plus, she had no idea if cassie still worked at the coffee shop. she got down the bottom of the steps when she paused. ❝ oh. ❞ she blinked a few times. ❝ hey, it’s been a while. ❞ she swallowed. ❝ how are you? ❞
ALLISON ARGENT WAS AT A LOSS FOR WORDS , dark colored eyebrows crinkled together as she paused in her steps. it felt like it has been a while since she set eyes on her cousin & the worry still remains -- she has always been a SAVIOR with a hero complex ; always needing to save everyone. with diana …. it was different. how do you save someone who doesn’t want to be saved ? but it was still relieving to see her. “ well hello stranger. “ bright smile dipped on her fair face. “ i think i should be asking you that. “
There in a small corner booth Scott worked on his class work. His eyelids heavy, flickering, trying his hardest to stay awake. No amount of coffee can seem to fight back the inevitable and for a brief moment his eyes close only to shoot back open when he realizes someone has joined him as his table. “Hey,” Scott tried to put some energy in his words. “how’s it going?”
THERE WERE BRIEF MOMENTS WHERE ALLISON feels at peace ( inner turmoil quieted & she can feel anxiety wash away ) , seeing his sleepy face was one of those moments. PUPPY LOVE ; she suppose is the adorable way of describing them , with their first love seemingly overcoming most obstacles yet they seem to have a sort of naivety around their relationship. but right now , allison would not have it any other way -- there will be time in the future to worry about. “ you sound exhausted. “ softly , she smiled as she laid a hand on his head. “ i’m not disturbing you , am i ? “
