Tyler knew that living with Klaus and Caroline and Stefan meant that he would often be greeted with unexpected visitors and he was prepared for that. It wasn’t too much of a shock to see Hunter walking towards him and he gave a weak smile at the question. “Yeah, I’m not feeling super great either. Not completely sure what the fuck happened last night, honestly. Feel like I got knocked out.”

Hunter frowned a little. “Maybe you should sit down..” he started. “I was actually looking for my dad... but can’t seem to find him... I’m guessing he’s not here...I can maybe try to ring him if you want him here... or do you want me to try and find someone else?” Hunter asked.

Hunter shook his head simply running a hand over the back of his head to check for any blood. “No, No I’m fine honestly... I just wasn’t expecting to hit the ground like that...” Hunter stated. “Everything okay with you? Seems as if you got spooked really easy...” Hunter stated.

Caroline’s nose wrinkled in displeasure at the greeting, shaking her head. “Okay isn’t exactly the word I’d use but your delusions are yours to sort through, bud.” The mention of Jeremy made her scoff and she raised an eyebrow. “Fairly certain your father would have to tear himself away from my ex long enough to even notice I was back in order to feel glad about it. Don’t really see that happening any time soon.” She thought for a moment before continuing. “Also still so confused by the appeal. I mean, Tyler’s a cheater and a murderer. Your dad could do way better.”

Hunter turned to watch the blonde as she replied to him. He was about to speak again when he heard her comment about his father and Tyler. Ouch! “That’s kinda Harsh...” Hunter stated under his breath. “I mean if we didn’t have relationships with someone who made dubious choices, that would limit it to outside almost everyone we know...” he stated.

The house that she knew was her house, that she shared with two people that she knew she loved and with children that she knew had a tight grip on her heart…well, none of it felt like hers anymore. In fact, nothing felt at all since those last few minutes in that stupid warehouse. Caroline could comprehend that she had once cared for that house and these people and this town, but she certainly couldn’t reach the part of her or version of her that had loved any of it. She was shell now, empty and cold, and it was better. She didn’t have to hurt, didn’t have to cry, just had to exist. And yet, “home” felt too foreign so she found herself in town, wandering and watching. It was almost Christmas and that should have sparked something but indifference still persevered. “Well, at least this place is less of an eyesore now.”

Hunter was relieved when he saw the Blonde and approached her. “Aunt Caroline... you’re okay...” he smiled to the other. He knew how much she meant to his father and to know she was okay was a relief. “I bet dad is so glad you’re okay.” he stated. Of course Hunter knew what had happened to her, but didn’t want to overbear her with questioned on how she was feeling. “I’m sure it’s going to be decorated for Christmas any day now... so it will look even better..” he stated to her although he couldn’t shake the feeling something was off with her.

Jen really liked Christmas. It was a part of her that she wasn’t able to hide, even in this stupid knock-off version of Mystic Falls in a year where she wasn’t even a thought in her parent’s ridiculously stubborn skulls. She had skipped Thanksgiving and after hearing about the evening secondhand, she’d call that a win. But with Christmas coming up, she couldn’t keep herself hidden away anymore. This was supposed to be about family, the happiest time of the year. It was time she reunite with hers again. “You know, I’ve always appreciated her eye for design, but I really think Aunt Care was wrong about the little lights being better. The big ones just pop more, don’t you think?”

Hunter spotted his cousin making her way through the door and chuckled a little as he reached her with the remark about their Aunt. “You know... I’m not sure how big an influence Aunt Care had with this, this year... since she’s been... preoccupied?” he wondered if that was the right word to use, but it sounded more humane than tortured. “Where have you been stranger?” he questioned.

The first thing that he felt when he woke up was confused. He remembered being there with Vicki, holding her hand, and then nothing. Nothing but darkness and cold and the feeling like nothing would ever be okay again. And then, just as suddenly, his eyes were opening and the light was far too bright. He groaned as he woke, hands pressed hard into his eyes to try to quell the pounding headache behind them. “What the fuck?” he grumbled, shaking his head to try to bring himself back to reality. Tyler forced himself out of bed, padding slowly to the door of the room he shared with Jeremy and peeking out into the hall. “Hello? Is anybody here?”

Hunter was cooking food when he heard the male calling. He wasn't usually staying there but he had wanted to be closer to his dad when Caroline went missing. He turned the stove off to prevent anything catching fire, which would probably happen since Hunter wasn't the best cook. He made his way towards the voice and say Tyler. "Hey..." he paused watching the male "are you alright.. you don't look so hot..." he admitted.

“I feel like that’s the consensus with most secrets.” Nova replies with a small laugh. Her hybrid hearing gave her the chance to hear others, though Nova didn’t take it. She wasn’t privy on eavesdropping. “Surprised we didn’t see any fresh vamps lose their shit with how much blood was around.” She sort of expected it, but it seemed everyone had their shit together for the most part. “I only have like, two secrets.” Nova laughs, “But the one I confessed wasn’t hard at all. It would have gotten out one way or another with time.” She didn’t care to hide that part of her anymore.

A nod of his head concreted the fact he agreed with the other. “Yeah... and it was crazy... I mean I feel like I needed to help people... but I couldn’t..” he admitted - that was one of the things he struggled with being part whitelighter - hearing so many cries and struggling to separate and ignore the calls for help. “I don’t know if anyone would be stupid enough to try that with all the werewolves and vampires around - they would have a riot on their hands..” he shrugged. “Still, you shouldn’t be forces to spill it... seems like someone is really out to cause drama since we got here..”

Hunter watched the male and nodded. “Yeah,” Hunter started before looking back to the cat. As the male asked for name suggestions, Hunter laughed a little as he looked back to the male. “Oh, I am hopeless at names... I once had a hamster and just called it hamster for a year before I settled on a name..” he chuckled. “What if you offer some names and I can say whether I like them too?” he offered.

Looking for a collar, he couldn’t seem to find anything that proved it belonged to someone and, looking around, he wondered what a kind cat like this one could be doing on their own. “Wonder if I should keep it,” he said, the cat laying on his lap and purring.

Fresh air was kind of surreal. The sun on her fact and she felt the heat touch her skin.
