It wasn't like Eli to be so casual with his hello's and greetings. She had a half smile on her lips as she rose up a brow turning her attention toward him. ❝ Can I help you, Eli? ❞
Eli watched the female and soon shook his head at her question. He had no real need for the older mikaelson other than to check on her. Other than their mom she was probably the only one who brought out the softest side of him. "No... just wanted to check in on you... see how you were doing.." he stated.

Death was never going to be easy for Hope. She struggled with it every time as it triggered so many memories. Coming back home to Mystic Falls meant coming back to all of those memories she tried to just shove down deep inside of her as her fingers brushed over the park bench with Matt Donovan's name over it.
Eli had never really known matt. So he couldn't say he was as emotional about the whole thing as others. But that didn't make him apathetic. He could understand why some people felt so upset. He would have too had it been someone he had close bonds with. So to see his sister on the bench as he made his way home, he stopped to head over towards her. "Uh hey?" He said softly instead of his usual teases. It was a rare side for people to see of eli, and even rarer if they had not been family.
