Sam gets offered to host a parade float for Mardi Gras in his hometown. Processed to tell Crowley about this and offers that a group of students could cme.
Crowley tells the main cast to vote/offer up a student to go. A student that's most definitely going is Sebek.
During the trip they run into Sam's cousin, Twst Tiana. Both talk about Sam visiting their grandmother who lives deep in the bayou. Queue some Sam lore.
Sam shops for supplies for his float, while the children explore and have fun. Fun proceeds to end when a stray magic spell/potion hits them, turning them into animals.
Sam comes back and sees students turned animal and has even more reason to visit Grandma.
Tells students that he's essentially estranged from his grandmother as she heavily dislikes his UM, and both had a really bad fight and haven't talked in years. But for the students, he'll just have to ‘suck it up,’ for them.
During the adventure to Grandma, they meet Louis, a crocodile who dreams of becoming a famous trumpet musician. Bonds with Sebek despite Sebek being Human(begrudgingly admitted) and isn't an actual crocodile.
Queue a Twistune of “When we're human” and a few fights with random creatures.
Finally at grandma's house and BOOM! She isn't visibly happy to see Sam… Sam lies about being sorry for the fight despite him not actually being sorry, and proceeds to tell her about the students’ predicament and ask for her to change them back. Sam and his grandma fight with lines like “You only come to me when you need something” and “You never truly care did you,”. Sam leaves and tells the students that he needs to get back to make his float and to “figure it out yourselves” as he doesn't want to be back here ever.
Sometime after that, grandma tells them why they started fighting in the first place. Queue more Sam lore.

Sebek SSR card idea, Sebek mid transformation in the place where Naven and Tiana got married. Groovification Card is Louis and Sebek side by side playing a trumpet and trombone respectfully on the stage in Tiana’s restaurant, OR OUTSIDE WHERE TIANA AND NAVEN END THE MOVIE BY DANCING. Sam being one of few in his bloodline to have magic!
Dr. Facilier being Sam's great- great uncle!(hopefully that makes sense in the fact that Princess and a frog is more recent(? 1920's-30's if I remember correctly) in the timeline 🙇♀️)
despite Grandma Odetta telling him and his cousins scary/horrible stories of Facilier, he still idolized him. growing up idolizing Facilier's magic. like, to a little kid shadow magic would be cool af!!
and this is Generational Hate™️ Odetta grew up with stories on all of the bad things Facilier did to others, up until his "untimely" death at the very same hands he used for personal gain

but Sam? when his magic came in(especially if his UM is like Facilier's), his parents were actually pretty supportive! secretly... but still!! they only hid their support in his magical endeavors because they didn't want to face the wrath of Grandma Ode, up until he went to NRC. Odetta upon finding out, absolutely blew up at him
both of them obviously said something horrible to each other and Sam held that resentment for years upon years until said metaphorical event.
but Odetta is also one of the few who has magic in their bloodline! her UM being called ~[Dig deeper]~ where she can see the core values of the people around her(unfortunately making her blind for a few days), making her pretty great at giving advice!
Sam would call her a hypocrite for utilizing magic despite her hatred of it, because all the hated she spouted, she used her UM extensively...

Turning off his phone, Idia leans back in his chair groaning. "Gods... Why me???", he whispers while looking at his ceiling. "Why has thou abandoned me?", he slowly stands up and stretches.
Looking around his messy room for his shoes. Trying to stall, but he finds them under his bed.... He puts them on along with his usual jacket, he heads off.
Dragging his feet, he ultimately arrives at Ramshackle. The building has definitely seen better days, but still better than months ago. He hesitantly pulls out his phone, to type a simple 'im here' to [Name].
He waits for a few minutes, then turns to leave. Before the moment of relief even passed his through his brain, the door opens.
You both stand there, awkwardly staring for a moment, "Do you wanna come in?".
A simple yet welcoming(?) greeting...
"Uh Y-Yeah, sure. Thanks...", as he turns around, you move to the side to let him in.
Once he's inside, "Sooo uh, having trouble fighting a boss?", you looked embarrassed "yeah...". You guide him towards your gaming setup, the screen on the paused menu.
"You setup is shit." he blurts out, forgetting the vibes of awkwardness you both shared. You rolled your eyes in feigned annoyance, "Wow, thanks babes. I thought Ortho promised you'd be nice to me?", "I didn't promise shit honestly," he shrugs.
He sits down on your chair and unpauses the game, and starts to find the boss. "How long do you take from the respawn to the boss?", he asks. "idrktbh 👉👈", you shrugged. "Girl(gn), what?" he turns to look at you.
"Jus-just go that way!!", flustered you pointed on the screen. He looks at you with an emotion you don't want to think about, and follows your directions.
While you and Idia were in your own little world Ortho, with a dufflebag with blankets and pillows and a shopping bag with snacks, places them down near the lounge couch.
He walks towards you and Idia and floats in the air, watching as you and his brother, flirt(in his opinion).
He really hopes you'll be his sibling-in-law after NRC.
