But wait, why doesnât VisualVM work with Java 9?
No idea, but itâs probably something broken in the launcher. Iâm too fed up with Oracle at the moment to figure out how to properly fix this, since it appears to be caused by some registry entries (namely, HKLM\Software\JavaSoft\Java Development Kit being moved to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\JavaSoft\JDK), but the workaround is to define `visualvm_jdkhome` in your etc/visualvm.conf file. Note that `etc` is in your installation directory if youâre on Windows.
