tabitha was just about the very last person who would willingly go to parties. it’s not that she was a boring person, parties just weren’t really her thing. she’d much rather get drunk around a quiet bonfire with a few close friends rather than casually drink around a bunch of sweaty, drunk people she barely knew. but with the amount of begging it seemed alex had done, there was no way tabby could have said no. with alex by her side, she was sure she’d end up having a good time. she approached the other a bit nervously, her cheeks gaining a rosy hue as she tried to hide her smile. “oh you know i only say no to you to hear you beg, right?” the woman teased, though it was sort of a turn on but she couldn’t seriously admit to that. “i figured i might as well stop being such a wet blanket and broaden my horizons.”

alex wasn't going to lie, she was a little surprised to see that tabitha had actually decided to come, because she knew that she really wasn't one for parties, but she was also pretty happy about it too, because she’d take any chance she got to be able to hang out with her. tilting her head to the side, her eyebrows began to raise upwards curiously, her lips then curling into a soft smile as she noticed the way the other's cheeks gained more colour in them. gosh, why did this girl have to be so darn cute? it wasn't fair. "is that so?" a laugh fell into the space between them. "oh, you shouldn't have just told me that secret," the smirk started to slowly return "because now i won't beg anymore," alex teased back. "well, these things aren't all that bad, but here, i'll make you a deal alright? if you give this a chance for an hour and you're still not actually having any fun then we can leave and go do something else. sound good?"

regina seethed at alexandra’s haughtiness but carefully schooled her features into an emotionless mask, cold and contained. “ it’s not like i don’t smile at all, it’s just that whenever i see you i doubt i ever will again. ” at her next question regina blinked, taken aback for a second. “ don’t flatter yourself, dalton, you’re unfortunately the only one i know. well, except for the host maybe. ” that was a blatant lie. regina was popular enough to dig up a person or two she could at least stand with but dear god, she didn’t come here to talk about the weather or rate people’s outfits. not that a conversation with alexandra would be significantly deeper, just that their banter was fun. sometimes. if there was nothing better to do. “ what’s your poison ? malibu ? strawberry vodka ? ” she shrugged. “ that’s the shit i expect from someone with as little taste as you. ”

eyebrows rose upwards as her gaze lingered for a moment. "wait, so you're saying your face actually knows how to do that? but also who even said that you don't smile at all? because i surely didn't," alex's head shook playfully. "oh? well, i never took you as one for not knowing how to socialize," her features now fell into a frown. "i mean, wow, you really are out here beating yourself up, arent you. seriously be kind to yourself, you're not that horrible to be around," though they both knew that it would have been easy for regina to actually talk to anyone here if she put the effort into it. reaching the drink table, alex turned to look back at regina, her lips pressing together as her gaze fell to the liquor and then they darted back to the other woman. "then sorry, babe, you're out of luck. they don't have any of that here,” she didn't miss a beat. "though my poison is currently jd with a shot of tequila on the side."

Jen just smirked and shook her head.  She didn’t want to admit that Alex was one of the few people who were important to her and that did make her all the more hard to resist. Clearly, she already had enough ego and didn’t need a bigger boost.  Instead, she gave her friend’s ass a hard slap as they made their way to the drinks.  “Maybe you’re the one who is going to need to keep up with me, huh?” she teased with a grin as she grabbed the tequila and poured shots for both of them, “You got a party with all these people, but I’m the one you wanted to see?  Sounds like you’re the one struggling to resist me, babes.”

Did Alex have a thing for Jen? Absolutely. Was she willing to admit to it anytime soon? Definitely not. It was only because she was keeping her band's best interest at heart. If feelings weren't actually returned, then things would get awkward or if they did end up together but then broke up, it would make things incredibly tense, all in which wouldn't be beneficial for the positive relationship needed. However that didn't mean she wasn't going to tease and flirt with her bandmate. Those cards were still definitely on the table. Feeling Jen's hand connect with her ass, Alex jolted forward while a quick chuckle slipped from her lips, her gaze dashing to look over at her. "Damn, babe, buy me dinner first," she joked with a wink. "And we'll see who's going to need to keep up with who, yeah?" Smirking in response. Watching as she poured the shots, Alex took one while her eyebrows started to raise and then she laughed. "You came up to me, Princess. I think it would have been rude to have ignored you. But dang, you caught me! I definitely can't resist you," another smirk pulled across her lips.
