LOOK OUT 5 by the circle ALPS from Comiket 30 (1986).

Today I am posting about a doujin from the earlier years of Comiket, while there is not much written history on these early cons in English the general look of the manga of this era is well known. This doujin has a very classic nostalgia look which is likely in part caused by the scanner used. LOOK OUT 5 itself is interesting for not being about a single series but seems to focus on various mecha and sci-fi works of the period.

There are some quite beautiful standalone illustrations like the one above.

The above is a title page for the collection with artwork that really fits well within the "space age babe" look of series like Urusei Yatsura. While I would need to find studies to support this I would be willing to bet this specific look arose from Shojo manga of the 1970s alongside Post Star Wars influence and over the top fashion of the 1980s.

The panel work in some parts of this is quite lovely and helps you get a sense of scale.

The page above features a lovely example of a typical spacecraft look.

Also there are these lovely chibi style drawings of various characters.

Despite their best efforts, it is well known that maids hold a sort of animosity towards their princess's knights due to their lieges courtly connection towards them.

The princess' always seem to be oblivious.

The existence of maid-knights does not help at all.

Urabambi Vol. 25 -MAX HARD- by the artist SINK of the circle Urakata Honpo.

A futanari doujinshi of Futari wa Pretty Cure. I can't tell for certain where this was sold but it and some other doujinshi on e-h have the acronym CSP4 which makes me think this is from a smaller convention that happened in the spring of 2005.

As a note doujinshi that are sold at Comiket are labeled on sites as C followed by the number of whichever Comiket they were sold at. Thus a doujinshi sold at the 1975 Comiket would be C1. (Reminder to self to find if there's any scans of doujinshi sold at the first Comiket or there were any).

The art of the entire doujinshi isn't amazing but I do love the cover for this doujinshi with "REAL DAMNED FUCKING" in Comic Sans. The plot of it is a fairly standard "heroine bad end" from what I can tell that's been done before in better forms with more interesting art.

In terms of actual art inside it these two panels stand out the most to me.

Wild Cat by Nekono Lonmiy of the circle True-Bell.

Not too big of a fan of this art but the pseudo CRT effect and little character drawing I do enjoy.

Siesta-san to Petit Dejeuner by Komori Kei of the circle Kemokomoya, sold during Comiket 72 (Summer 2007). It is a maid focused doujin for the light novel series The Familiar of Zero which had gotten a manga and anime adaptation in 2006 with another anime released in July of 2007. Comiket 71, 72, and 73 saw a decent number of erotic Doujinshi for this series.

While I am personally more or less indifferent to the majority of the art of this piece there are a few pages that has a style reminding me of shojo works of the late eighties and early nineties.

The main novelty of this work is that it has sex scenes utilizing a boiled egg. And if you are wondering if they somehow use the eggcup they do not. But an interesting example of egg sex that does not involve monsters laying eggs.
