아/어/여야 할 텐데 is used when one is worried and is hoping for a particular outcome. For example, if I have a flight to catch but I’m running late, I’m hoping that I won’t miss the flight. In this case, I could say 비행기를 안 놓쳐야 할 텐데…/ I hope I don’t miss my flight.
It can be followed by 걱정이다 or 모르겠다.
I hope it doesn’t rain on the day of my soccer tournament…
I hope this cold gets better quickly.
I hope the food is delicious.
