Little Brown Bats were the most common species seen flying the night skies across North America. Those little bats you saw dancing above lakes and ponds at dusk on warm summer nights are now endangered. An invasive and introduced fungal disease, known as white-nose syndrome, has killed millions of bats while they hibernate.
