âFour sounds about right.â Teddy laughed. âBut I think managing to lose five of yours lives means you deserve less respect, not more.â He teased. âOh, some of the departments are like that. Just not my department. Nobody really cares what we do in my Division, as long as we donât cause any trouble.â His lips quirked, he was sure he caused enough trouble to last the Ministry a lifetime. âYou lost Harryâs helmet?â He asked, unable to hide his amusement. âMerlin, Iâm proud of you, Frank. What an achievement.â His hair flushed bubblegum pink at the mention of Vic and he grinned goofily. âSheâs good! Sheâs finally back in the country and if things go according to plan then she gets to stay for while. Actually, I, uh- weâre moving in togetherâŚâ
âSo treat me with care. Iâm fragile these days.â Frank toyed with him, a hand over his heart for dramatic effect. âYou? Not causing any trouble? Who are you and what have you done with my beloved Teddy Lupin?!â He gasped. Frank was still a young, wild child at heart. The only thing quelling that was the fact he had to run the Inn 24/7. At least it kept him out and far from trouble. âOi, look at that hair, mate.â Frank mused at the sudden color change, smiling widely. Theyâd all teased Teddy and Vic as long as anyone could remember, it was exciting even to see them last so long. âMoving in? Together? Oh my big boyâs growing up, Iâm so proud.â First James and Elijah, now Teddy and Vic--- Frank was happy for his friends but at the same time, he couldnât help but feel just a little lonely.
trvlyalice:
âThatâs the beauty of books, thereâs so many choices you can make. Even if you find one that doesnât exactly tickle your fancy, thereâs always another.â She paused. âI think the same is said about relationships but that I certainly wouldnât know anything about.â She glanced over at Frank and nodded. âI stayed with her a bit while she was sleeping before I had to go in for work. Did you get to talk to her?â
âWell, you stick to books Al, and Iâll stick to--- Quidditch.â Frank shrugged. A dead end Quidditch career, but he didnât want to tell his family that. He made the choice to retire, though they werenât entirely aware how hard it was to get back on the broom after youâve been off it. âFor a little bit, she said weâre doing a good job considering no oneâs run into St. Mungoâs begging for her to come back so her demon children donât have to run the place.â He snickered.
xdominiqueweasleyx:
âI know. Itâs simply novel, isnât it? Yet here I am, living proof of what I say. I often mind I am both happy and sad at the same time.â Dominique didnât really take herself for a intellectual, but she did a great job of mocking the voice of one. She was doing so now, hoping to heighten the antics she was playing. âExactly what Iâm trying to tell you! This is why you canât turn this place into a haunted den of haunted-nessâof moaning ghosts! Itâs a trade-off.â She faked a sigh of annoyance. âYouâve got to get nerd glasses and where them, Frank. Once Iâve seen you in them, I can safely say if youâre more or less attractive than Zak Bagans.â
âI donât know--- if business royally sucks the same amount next month, Iâm flipping it into a haunted house attraction.â Frank told her with a nod, though he was only teasing. Hannah would get up from her sick bed to wring his neck if he ever did that. âBut what if I put the glasses on and you get attracted to me? No offense or anything, but your mother scares the absolute shite out of me.â Frank admitted bluntly, nevertheless he still thought Fleur was amazing.
trvlyalice:
Alice rolled her eyes playfully at her older brother, âbooks could never get boring but sadly, I did have to close up shop.â She glanced over at the booth and sighed softly. âWell, thatâs something at least.â
âCome on, there has to be at least one boring book youâve come across. I could name several.â Frank teased, wiping his hands on a towel before leaning against the bar. âYou see mom yet today? She actually woke up before noon, so I really think whatever they have her on is making her feel better.â
cleopatranott:
After a long day Cleopatra decided to pay a vist to the leaky cauldron .She didnât hear what the person was about to say before she opens the door.âOssp sorry. I donât think you need a sign i think you need to either fix the door or get a new one. I swear i wasnât trying to kill anybodyâ Cleopatra jokes.Â
âYeah? You got any good fixing spells?â Frank couldnât remember any, heâd always been more hands on anyway. Hannah taught him that if he ever wanted anything done, heâd have to do it himself without magic.Â
tenaciousteddylupin:
Teddy laughed, shaking his head with an affectionate smile. âIn the nicest way possible, Frank, how are you still alive?â He poured himself another drink, watching his friend to see if he was going to try and stop him. âI sit at a desk all day wearing hoodies and jeans, okay? Believe what you want, but it really isnât.â He grinned, strangely enjoying the idea of Frank thinking he worked somewhere professional. Not many people saw him that way, he definitely didnât see himself that way. In reality, his department had long since been abandoned by the higher ups. There were very few resources and the whole corridor of offices dedicated to the Half-Breed division were an unorganised mess. He nodded, taking a sip of his drink and staring down at the liquid inside the glass. He knew alcohol made a lot of people sleepy, but it seemed to do the opposite for him. He was always more energetic after a few drinks, something he definitely didnât take for granted. âHarry isnât going to kill you for losing a book on Household Charms. Donât be dramatic.â He resisted the urge to roll his eyes. âBut sure, I can give it to Lucy.âÂ
âIâm like a cat, Teddy, nine lucky lives. Though if my math is correct-- Iâm down to four now. So treat me with respect.â Frank snorted. âHoodies and jeans? What? No fancy suits and slicked back hair? Maybe if Hogwarts didnât make the Ministry seem so stiff, I wouldâve done that instead.â He didnât think he would have though. Frank loved the thrill of Quidditch to much to give it up without good reason. And his mother falling ill ended up being good reason to retire early for him. âYou and I know a very different Harry. I once used his helmet when I tried out for Ballycastle and ended up leaving it in the locker rooms. Helmet ended up getting stolen and I swear smoke was leaving his ears when I told him.â Frank winced at the memory. âSo, besides the boring job-- what else? Howâs Viccy?â
anaparkinson:
Ana raised an eyebrow at him. She had said that specifically to find out more of what he thought about itâand what was clear to her was that he was hiding something. Or someone. Ana wasnât going to ask, however, instead putting her fingers around his jaw tightly to pull his face to hers again. âIâm glad you think Iâm sexy,â she said softly before leaning in and pressing a deep kiss to his lips then sitting back up. âBut I really do need to go.â
âTotally.â Frank grinned, holding the side of her face as she kissed him and letting out a soft sigh when she pulled back. âYeah, no, itâs fine. Iâll--- Iâll be at the inn anyways.â There were still a ton of repairs Frank needed to finish. Sooner rather than later considering Neville was going to stop by to check things out. âHave fun at work.â He sat up, pecking her lips quickly before lounging back against his pillows.
lorcxns:
He took the glass of milk but quickly abandoned it when Frank wrapped himself around him, instead pulling him close and running his fingers through his hair. âYou shouldnât have,â he said in a joking, coy voice, looking down at Frank with a look of deep infatuation in his eyes. He sighed, leaning back slightly and making Frank lean back with him. âWhat are you doing tomorrow?â
âBut I did. And nothing is ever stopping me.â Frank told him, whining against him as Lorcan leaned the both of them back. âWith you in town? Absolutely nothing. Alice is on duty tomorrow anyway.â He was working himself thin lately with all the repairs, so when Alice offered to take up the main shift-- Frank happily agreed. âWhy? What do you want me to do?â He smirked, glancing up to barely kiss his chin.
lorcxns:
Lorcan paused before he just turned so he could hop up and sit on the bar. âWhatever you have. When Iâm stoned I usually like milk,â he said, taking off his jacket to reveal that it was lined with both a pack of cigarettes and a cigarette holder lined with joints. He crossed his legs and shifted so hat he could look at Frank more easily. âThen you can join me up here. The view is nice.â
Frank went to the kitchens in the back, grabbing a glass of milk before coming back to hand it to Lorcan. He stood between his legs, smirking up at him as he spoke, âI like my view down here.â He admitted with a grin, burying his face in Lorcanâs chest. âMerlin, I missed you.â Frank mumbled into his shirt, hands resting on his thighs.

lorcxns:
âI wouldnât say it if I didnât.â Lorcan sighed when Frank pressed their foreheads togetherâhe didnât think about closing the gap between them and kissing him deeply once before pulling away. âGood.â Lorcan stood up straight again, just looking at Frank head on. âCan we eat something? I want to eat.â Lorcan had no use for food, but it made him feel good sometimes, just to be filled up on something. The crushing emptiness left, just for a little while.
Frankâs heart stopped at the kiss, hand curling into his hair tightly before they pulled away. âYeah-- I-- what do you want?â He looked down at his watch, something had to be open at 10pm. âBurgers and shakes?â Frank laughed some, scratching the back of his head. âIâd have something made here but the kitchen elves went home already. I can make good PB&J though.â He offered.
lorcxns:
Lorcan paused for a moment before he brought his hand up from where he had been leaning against the bar. âYouâre important to me,â he said. He was quiet, succinct, and he didnât mince his words. He was good at that, at leastâhe wasnât good at getting to the point, but once he found the right words, it was easy. Frank had just given him exactly the right words for what he thought and what he felt. âYouâre. Important. To. Me.â
From his expression, Frank looked as if Lorcanâs words were completely a surprise. Which, they were. He half expected him to sweet talk his way around saying them. âYou mean it?â Frank breathed out, searching his eyes like he would be able to tell if he were lying. He wanted this so badly that heâd be crushed if it wasnât true. Frank carefully held the sides of his face, pressing their foreheads together. âYouâre important to me too-- really, really important.â
xdominiqueweasleyx:
âNow, sweet-pea, I know youâre a man, but you can feel two things at once.â It wasnât very often, she thought, that anyone was impressed or scared of her. Sometimes when primary school wix came to Gringotts for a tour, she would get some impressed looks for being a curse-breaker, but she couldnât think of a single instance anyone feared her. Not even when she was scared. It was the height, she thought. âBut think of it this wayâŚI come here because I donât like the crowd. If it started getting crowded all of a sudden, I might not show up anymore. And I know that would be absolutely devastating for you.â She patted his shoulder, putting on a faux-sympathetic face. âI think thatâs a little much. HmmmâŚ.I dunno. You donât have that Jersey Shore-esque face with is a bonus, but Iâve yet to see you in nerdy glasses, so I really canât make a sound judgement without the proper data.âÂ
Frank faked a look of shock, âI can? Bloody hell, I had no idea.â he gasped before laughing. When no one was looking, Frank did feel a lot. So much was going on in his life and he was definitely not the type who was able to just hide it. If he were, the Inn would probably be open 24 hours a day-- but he needed at least some time to himself. âYou canât leave me, Dommie, not my one good customer.â He whined, though he was fully aware she was joking. He really liked just getting a rise from people. âOh yeah? And how would we go about getting the proper data?â
anaparkinson:
If there was one thing that Ana could be sympathetic towardsâshe wasnât entirely heartless, after allâit was the fact that he still had to care for his mother. Even though Ana had a strained-to say the leastârelationship with her half-brother, she still made sure she did everything she could to make sure that he was comfortable in prison. That was just what they did for family. âYouâre reliable, at least,â she replied, settling down to just sit in his lap and bringing her unoccupied hand up to push through her hair again, pulling it away from her face. âI donât know, though. One of these days you might find something else.â
Frank laughed nervously at her words, eyes darting from her face quickly to glance around the room. âYouâll-- you could find something else too. You never know.â He swallowed before finally looking back to Ana again. âYouâre really pretty, I mean... guys have got to be lining up. The whole lawyer thing is really sexy.â Frank nodded. Any time she teased him about finding something, or someone, else-- Frank got fidgety and nervous. He didnât like feeling like he was hiding something from her, but then again, he hadnât seen Lorcan in weeks. Maybe it wasnât even going to matter.
tenaciousteddylupin:
Teddy rolled his eyes. He had been waiting for Frank to comment on how often he tripped and fell. âAt least I wasnât tempting fate by scaling ridiculous heights.â He teased, his smile slipping once again at the mention of St Mungos. âYou should have said something, Frank. Hermione conjures these awesome blue flames that you can keep inside a jar. Iâm sure sheâd show me how to create them. You could take some the next time you visit!â He laughed lightly when Frank said he wasnât much of a drinker. Boy, was a pub wasted on him. âMy job isnât fancy.â He said, âbut Iâm glad you think Iâm capable of holding down something like that. Thatâs good to know.â He turned to look at the pub as Frank spoke about repairing it. On the whole, it was very old and there were a few blatant problems with the structure but it wasnât anything Teddy wasnât confident Frank could fix. âIâm sure Harry has a book on Household spells somewhere. Iâm terrible at them, but maybe some of them could help? Want me to ask for it the next time I see him?â
âMy parents banned me from even climbing up on the countertops when I was little, I had to get a thrill somehow, Teddy.â Frank claimed with a laugh. As soon as it was found he had hemophilia, Hannah and Neville were constantly hovering over Frank to make sure he wasnât getting any cuts or bruises thatâd potentially get worse. All that hard work went down the drain the second he signed up for Quidditch though. âYour job is very fancy. If itâs got to do at all with the Ministry, Teddy, itâs fancy.â He snickered. âUh, yeah. Thatâd be a big help, actually. Could you give âem to Luce though? I might be going out of town for a little bit and I donât want to imagine what Harry would do if I lost his book.â
lorcxns:
Lorcan paused, closing his mouth and swallowing. He looked at Frank with a titled head, as if he knew what he wanted to stay but he wasnât quite sure how to say it. âDo you really want me?â He sounded so small just then it was almost impossible to believeâhe was so quiet and so young, too young to be so angry and so sad. He leaned against the bar as well, his arm reaching around Frank so that his fingertips could press against the dark wood. âWhat do you want me to say? Iâll say it.â He pressed his lips together, looking Frank up and down. âIâll say whatever you want.â
âYes.â Frank admitted, exasperated that he had to go through all of that just to get Lorcan to realize it. âI want you to tell me that Iâm important to you. And that you want me to.â He bit his lower lip, heart feeling heavy in his chest already. âBut only if you mean it.â And Merlin, Frank prayed he did. He wanted more since the first night they had together, he needed it. He hated how unbothered Lorcan seemed by it, granted he didnât know what was going on in his head-- but still.
