This morning my Lyft driver went into detail about an abusive relationship that she recently got out of. I listened to her. And offered as much insight as I could, in order to help her to the best of my ability. At the end of our ride (45min later), I could tell that she was emotional. She was so thankful for my presence in that conversation and said that I really empowered her. Most of the time, when I get in a cab I usually don't feel like talking much, considering it's 7am. But today I discovered that you can have a much more impactful morning if you just open yourself up to those opportunities. So thank you, Lyft Lady, for sharing with me your experiences and for opening me up to new ones to come. What a wonderful way to start the day!
