Banned by schools, the state and other institutions, some of the books featured are Vladimir Nabokov’s infamous Lolita and George Orwell’s anti-communist Animal Farm. 

We urge you to look below at the history of the most censored books through history due to ridiculous reasons or extremely controversial circumstances.
