Grandma, it’s hard to believe you’re actually gone, at the age of 95. New Years Eve is forever changed for me. You were definitely the coolest person I’ve ever known from the Isle of Man. Thanks for all the blueberry pancakes, the incessant Tchaikovsky, for teaching me to knit, and to crochet. Thanks for keeping etiquette & table settings a tradition in our family. For always knowing where that extra little spoon went. You taught us children to slow down, to enjoy the moment & to appreciate each other. I’ll never forget how much you complained about grandpa’s favorite boat 🤣 I think I’m still in shock.. the last time we saw each other you got to see the kiddos & share some pumpkin pie. These are baked apples. I’ve been making since I was a kid, typically Gravenstein apples. My mom has the most beautiful old trees.
