Day 996 without Lexa
I want to close my eyes and never wake up again.
listen. itās true, men have been conditioned to bottle their emotions up and deal with them in toxic ways that often damage themselves and those around them
BUT
as a grown man, if youāre self-aware enough to know that this is taking place, youāre also aware enough to take serious steps towards solving your own issue
what iām saying here is this: stop looking for women or other people to āhelpā you solve a problem that begins and ends with you. support while you unlearn toxicity is very important, but dont expect anyone to support you while you make the same poor decisions over and over and blame it on how you were conditioned
when does societyās conditioning no longer hold weight as a valid excuse for your fuckery?
Let me tell you why Jenna Marbles is an inspiration.
This isnāt a joke.
Jenna Marbles was one of the original big channel Youtubers. I remember being in middle school and quoting her constantly, and never having to explain the reference. Everyone knew who Jenna was.
Then, time passed as it does. And like most youtubers, her following shrunk overtime. People outgrew her or lost interest. I myself stopped watching her for years, except for the occasionĀ āI wonder what Jennaās doingā search.
But what did she decide to do? Was she gonna pander to her audience, or do challenge videos to keep her views up?
No.
She decided to do whatever she freaking wanted.
She literally follows whatever crazy, impulsive thoughts she has and doesnāt really care what we think.
One week she thought,Ā āI wonder how many balloons it would take to float Marbles up in the air?ā And she found out.
āI should cover my entire face with rhinestonesā Yes please.
āI want to blend into my green screenā YES. ABSOLUTELY.
She does what she wants, and its entertaining as hell. I love being subscribed to Jenna cuz I literally have no idea whatās coming this Wednesday/Thursday, but I know sheās gonna be having a great time doing it.
Jenna Marbles is an icon. Sheās what I aspire to be. We should all learn from her to follow our dreams, no matter how unusual they may seem.
Bonus: Hereās some screenshots from her as a green screen
Iām so glad someone finally said something about this. Jenna marbles is one of my favorite people to ever exist and I love her endlessly (and Julien and her dogs)
She also hosts on SiriusXM Hits 1 every Friday and she is great there too!
I want to be really clear about something: Planned Parenthood has done more to prevent abortion than the pro-life movement ever has.
Yup, preventing abortion by giving abortions. Makes sense!
No you fucking crusty nutsack giving people the education and the tools to not become pregnant in the first fucking place
One of my Christian friends made a Facebook post about how PP gave her tons of resources when she was trying to get pregnant and people were actually genuinely shocked that they provided such resources; they had fully bought into the idea that PP is just an āabortion factoryā. The misinformation thatās been spread about PP is unreal.
gosh itās almost like Planned Parenthood will help you planĀ for parenthood
Tears fill my eyes as I read the words on my screen. The world seems to stop spinning for the slightest second as I re-read the anonymous message over and over again, gripping on to the hope that the words will magically disappear. But they didnāt. Anon had done it; theyād figured out that the only way to make me take off my hijab was to call my hair ugly. My one weakness.
A tear streams down my left cheek.
Eight years of academy hijab trainingā¦wasted. I had to prove this extremely relevant and good-looking anonymous person wrong, I cared too much about what they thought. How could I live my life knowing that there is one person out there who thinks probably my hair is ugly maybe? How could I look myself in the mirror? How could I face my family? My shoulders shook as I cried silently, and my chair squeaked ever so slightly at the vibrations; as if it, too, was crying in sorrow.
It wasnāt until that moment that the second part of the message dawned on me⦠how would I prove them wrong without breaking the rules? Was it really against the rules? I reach into my hijab and pull out a scroll. At the very top, in cursive jet-black inked letters, the word āRulesā stares back at me. My heart is racing as my eyes frantically read the scroll.
āRule #1: no killing people,ā it reads. I let out a whimper. There go my evening plans.Ā
Suddenly, my eye catches the next words. The scroll is rustling in my trembling hands as I turn my face away, tears spraying out of my eyes like the spit of a white person as they try to justify racism. The cursive words felt more like a curse of words, vivid and refusing to disappear as if I were still staring at them even through my closed eyes.
Rule #2: donāt show ur hair girl itās ugly lmaooooo
Clarke Griffin is a fucking badass š£

all these empty conversations around addiction and checking on your friends for rtās make my stomach flip. people are so inconsistent and fraudulent for what
So yāall mad about awareness ?!
to come online and see the same people who regularly clown drug users (or otherwise) for their coping mechanisms, use celebrity deaths (whether it be OD or suicide) to tweet things like ācheck on ur strong friends!! you never know what someoneās going thruā for some clout, is corny as fuck
Now THAT I can agree with!!!
Iām finally going to therapy. Iām really apprehensive about it though. I feel like such a fraud. Itās hard to explain. I think Iām dismissing the emotions that I feel because of the āsome people have it so much worseā mindset. Like my emotions arenāt valid. But my brain is literally so dark and hurtful. Idk. Iām giving it a try.
me @ me immediately after almost every decision: oh bitch what the fuck
