please please please talk to me about music and/or food tell me how good your lunch was or recommend me your favorite songs i love to talk about music so much i swear even if i don't like your favorite song or don't reply i'm gonna appreciate you telling me. any genre any quality from the cringiest cringe to the finest wines of songs as long as you earnestly love it. -moose
pronouns: use whatever. i have one set irl but i'm paranoid about personal info (including gender) on the internet so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i'm kinda curious what people will use with no input anyway
last 5 songs i fell in love with:
the cornered knees - kauai o'o
incredible polo - going too fast
molly linen - song for vashti
satya adhikari - chhi chhi chhi re nani
lainey wilson - out of oklahoma
Q: moose, what can i ask you/talk to you about??
things i will enthusiastically gush with you about
any kind of discussion over food/cooking
any kind of discussion about music, especially if it's music that's really dear to you
quirks of language. i find the differences between languages, etymology, and how languages evolve fascinating. (i also know a tinyyy tiny bit of espanol y suomea. terve!!)
poetry. i'm reaaaally bad at writing poems + probably have terrible taste in them but i'd love to talk about it/hear what you've been reading!!
things i might not have much to say about, but i would still love to hear YOU talk about
your hobbies and interests. i love listening to passionate people no matter how little i know about the subject
how your day has been
you're bored and want to ask someone a random question like "is water wet??"
asks for me to draw things. there's a 70-80% chance i won't draw it (sorry!) but i won't judge you for asking and you might as well shoot your shot amiriteee
just say hi if you want!!
things i will not appreciate you contacting me about
any kind of fishing for personal info. due to a cute lil thing called internet safety i will be attempting to remain as much of an anonymous enigma as possible.
politics/religion. i ain't talkin about that here
this doesn't exactly bother me if you personally do this, but you should probably know i'm not going to agree with you on any ships. i almost never ship anyone with anybody ever, including (sometimes especially) canon ships.
i am personally not pleased with the presence of ai in arts, music, writing, therapy, and academia. ai has its place (like helping search for cancers) but that place is not my music playlist. please do not recommend me anything that you know is ai.
nsfw content. especially anything suggestive. i will block you immediately.
thats right! i bleached em real good (like 10 hours total 😭) and then put em in a pot with salt dye and soap and stirred for like an hour
put em in the sink & soaked em in color preserver + rinsed out as much dye as I could (yet another hour total IT JUST KEPT COMING OUT)
then washed + dried. they went from this (post bleach, i forgot to take a pre-bleach-pic)
TO THIS
✨GLOW UP OF THE CENTURY I'M GONNA LOOK SO COOOL✨
For real tho this was actually so much fun to do. I started because I found out fabric dyes are suprisingly cheap?? (I had thought before that it was an expensive hobby to get into but NO. it cost less than 1 McDonald's Meal Combo to get everything I needed for this).
Realized halfway through bleaching that I was genuinely enjoying myself in a pretending-to-be-an-old-crone-with-an-apron-full-of-herbs kind of way. so if that's your thing you should totally try this out ✨✨✨
Well I don't know as much Finnish music as I'd like, but I am really a fan of the "flavor" of Finnish pop!
A family member of mine bought a Behm CD (Draaman kaari viehättää) and it became one of my favorite albums of all time. They also got me into Jenni Vartiainen, and a little bit of Chisu and Haloo Helsinki!. Tässäkö tää oli (Arttu Wiskari) made us laugh pretty hard - it's become something of a road trip staple for our family.
I also think that MeNaiset is very beautiful, but am having a hard time actually finding somewhere I can listen to all of their music :( might have to hunt down and order a CD on discogs or something.
Anyway I listen to a lot of genres other than pop and I've been meaning to search for more variety in Finnish music (heard y'all got a really good metal scene!) but I just. Haven't gotten around to it yet 🤷♂️ I'm open to suggestions though!
what is your favorite way to eat potato? fries? chips? mashed? roasted? baked? raw? something else?
i am SO glad you asked bcause potatoes are my favorite food actually!!!! probably french fries - the floppy soggy ones are the best (i swear they go to a separate, bottomless stomach) but other honorable mentions are:
mashed (with real potato NOT REHYDRATED FLAKY MASH EW EW) with paula deen amounts of butter + salt&pepper + milk + cream + a generous helping of onion powder. i make mine pretty lumpy. best served with biscuits and gravy (you gotta dunk the biscuit in the potato, then the gravy) or on top of cottage pie
once and a while i'll find myself in a situation where i black out near large amounts of gnocchi and when i come back its all gone
i have never had an au grautin that didn't SLAM so hard. even the cheap aldis box kit au grautin is good.
potato is the main character for me in thick soups (chowders, beefy gravy-like soups, japanese curry) and I usually save it for last w/ the meat so that the last 4 bites are a delicious soup finale
my grandmother does this thing where she mandolin-slices potato suuuper thin and then deep fries the slices, then puts them on a paper towel to blot out extra grease. they come out as floppy greasy transluscent little circles of bliss. probably the most unhealthy way to consume a potato (which is REALLy saying something) but that's kind of what grandmothers are for ig
lastly potatoes are more of a side character in this but if you've ever had malai kofta... i dream of malai kofta sometimes
side note thanks for being my first mutual man i love your art 😎
just made theeee best mac n cheebe ive ever made in my life and im super duper procrastinating smth importatnt so yall are gonna hear about my delicious mac and cheese
cooked 2 pounds of cavatappi (macaroni if it was longer and had ridges to hold onto cheese better) in one of them giant stockpots to al dente. REally salted that water. not a sad little pinch. we're talking a pile in my palm
grated ~~12oz cheap store brand smoked gouda ~12 oz cheap storebrand colby jack ~12oz sharp white cheddar. took literally an hour w my blunt grater but wcyd? how are you supposed to sharpen a grater anyway mixed it all up and set aside like 2 handfuls in a separate bowl
made a roux in a big ol pot half a stick of butter + 4tbs flour, cooked it to golden, added 4cups of milk and boy howdy did it thicken up, seasoned with
salt & pepper
chicken boullion
onion powder & garlic powder
regular AND smoked paprika
once the thicc milk started to bubble YANKED that off the heat and whisked in the lion's share of the cheese, tasted & reseasoned, then poured in the drained pasta (lost quite a few brave noodles to the floor in the processs) folded all the cheesey goodness into the noodles, "tested" a few forkfuls for Quality THEN poured the whole thing into a tin tray, sprinked set-aside cheese (mixed with seasoned pankooo) and baked that bad boy in the oven 400F / 200C and a very beauttiful baby emerged 15m later
this has been after midnight recipes w/ moose can you tell i just had a very strong cuppa coffee anyway lmk if you make this o/
