⚜ ⸻ boyd hollbrook . cis male . he/him . something to remember by matt hansen | was that zach salvatore walking around mystic falls ? last i heard , the forty-five year old human can be found mostly around the salvatore house . makes you wonder what they’re up to . he is known for being PATIENT , but they can still be very WITHDRAWN according to their friends. i heard through the grapevine that he knows what damon did despite zach’s compulsion. although we can never know for sure when it comes to mystic falls, in the end, it could be only rumors, right ? 〉
zach is a very distant but close relative to emrys salvatore (the half brother of stefan and damon). as far as he is aware, he's the only living human salvatore.
he works from home in private security but is also a member of the council. does he hate vampires? yes and no. only those related to him i.e. damon. otherwise he couldn't really care less despite being on the council that's trying to keep vampires out of town.
when he was a teenager he met and fell in love with gail - who he planned to marry one day but as far as he got before she died was a broken promise on his part and the death of the love of his life and child (again, see damon). he was compelled to forget this, and that damon was the cause. he eventually started remembering the attack after he started growing and consuming vervain. he does not remember that his child ultimately survived.
he's an equal opportunity hater when it comes to people and species. he hates everyone and would rather stay home in peace. now that three of his vampric relatives are around, however, he's ready to burn it all down.
even with a drink in hand, he feels more like some sort of chaperone than a regular attendee. seems fitting, he supposes, considering he's really only around to keep an eye on things. the bodies that have already been found are surely just the beginning, and he can only hope he can prevent the appearance of any more. ❛ a party in the woods . . . seems like asking for trouble, ❜ he mutters, watching someone drunkenly stumble by him only to trip over a random log ⸻ not even the first time that's happened in the past hour.
he wasn't much of a people person these days, choosing the comfort of the salvatore home over that of a bunch of people he couldn't stand. that's zach for ya. he's an equal opportunity hater of everyone equally. so why was he there? because the council was there. they wanted eyes on the situation considering at least half of them thought the so called animal attacks were of a supernatural kind - and zach, knowing what he knew, had his own suspects. such as, he turned to look at the voice. "you're telling me," came a grumpy response. he wanted to throw in an UNCLE but they were in public and it might be hard to explain. "don't do anything i wouldn't do."
