The Niche Stream

Pupil: Master, What is the Niche Stream?

The Master: A place where creatives get together and create awesome content that may or may not be a part of the mainstream and in fact, may be better than the mainstream altogether. Early net culture was very much niche stream and unique. But everything changed when the fire nation attacked (cough) excess ads and large corporations dominating with their large advertising

budget and the promise of easy fame.

Though the net environment may be saturated with such aforementioned things. The Niche Stream still exists if you dare to be original and diligent in your quest to find good works.

Creator's Block

Have you ever dealt with "Creator's Block" ▀▆▂▊▅▔▁▕█▀▁☞?

It's similar to writer's block (and technically can expand upon it)

But instead, it's like... you feel like you're creative spark is m.i.a.

AND IT SUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So what to do?

Start SOMEWHERE.

Seriously.

I'm experiencing it right now, and that is why I'm writing this post.

To inspire myself to create something good... While also realizing this

is quite a relevant topic...

See? I'm fighting against it.

Website In The Works

So, I've been working on building a website over the past few months. As of now, my goal is to feature posts from here over there.

More about the website/working concept:

It's Called J.O.T. Life

Logo:

Short for Jack Of (All) Trades Life

It's about documenting how people can do more than one thing well, and specifically, what they do. I'm starting with: Myself with the hope that the idea expands. It's a work in progress a.k.a. a W.I.P.

So far I've done a Ski Event in which I and others went to Boston Mills, a place for skiing and snowboarding, here in Ohio!

I hope to put more tours together and to travel to do CONSTRUCTIVE ACTIVITIES! Such as Rock Climbing, Skiing/Snowboarding(again), Surfing, Visiting foreign countries etc. etc.

I consider it a multimedia interactive company.

Multimedia: for the content posted on the Net through various mediums.

Interactive: Involving Others IRL, Online, and Abroad(eventually.)

Currently, all I have is a landing page with an email list sign up atm.

So. I have a vision for a Netflix series. Because, I like Netflix.

I like that they offer content that can be seen in various languages.

I like their use of red and black...

Anyways.

It's for a female batman.. with a story that goes beyond bat man alone. It's going to involve vampires. Lots, and lots of vampires.

I don't want to give it all away now... just wait.

So.. after a few years hiatus, I decided to come back to the " BLR." because I was bored and want to write more.

..discovered midway this is about to be a real post..

In my journey into self-care, I realized.. I'm tired of watching YouTube ALL THE TIME.

Passively watching other people's lives or getting advice for shit... I didn't ask for...

I liked Tumblr because...I'm an active participant.

And there's more of an opportunity to be so.

Sure, it's not as mainstream as it was.

(As if I care.. as I grew up in the Niche Stream, Punk Rock/AlternativeRock/Anime community)

But, it's still useful...

Let's see if we can get back to pure human self-expression.

Which is Beautiful.

Instead of "brain-dead" net culture where it's all about marketing and trends all. the. time.

(Which is necessary..., I mean hey, people need to make a living. BUT! It's excessive...)

Let's have the grassroots people promote for a moment, shall we?
