the best thing to happen in the last decade was the word âyeetâ which is extremely valuable. the worst thing was all the other things that happened.Â
the only two real emotions are the desire to be loved and embarrassmentÂ
sorry iâm late, professor. iâm disenchanted with the human experience and waking up every morning thrusts me into an instant existential crisis
so the irish term for depression is âan mĂłr-bhrĂłnâ which directly translates to âthe big sadâ and that right there is the mood of this fine winter lads
Theyâre also shooting for 100% renewable plastic sources by 2030! All of the soft plant/leaf elements in sets right now and going forward are made out of bioplastic made from sugarcane, and theyâre working on getting the regular hard plastic bricks out of that, too.
Theyâve done it, actually! The full bricks are in the prototype stage now, and are expected to be 100% biodegradable without the need for a commercial compost facility. Itâs very cool. Right now theyâre testing the durability and playability of the bricks and seeing what needs to be revised/reworked on their final model.
So its that easy huh
The thing abouth all these Disney remakes is that most of them, it feels like if someone once said, âIâm going to make a live action remake of Edvard Munchâs âThe Screamâ and then he just took a photo of some random bald guy screaming on a bridge. I mean all the elements are there but he changes all the expressionist elements in favor of ârealismâ loosing most of the things that made the scream one of the most important, if not the most important pieces of the Norwegian expressionism, maybe just keeping the general comossition and maybe making some little changes, just enough to make it feel kind of different, but not enough to be relevant. Change the long sleeves for shorter ones, or maybe even add a new character in the back who will be there, but, at the end of the wonât be really important. But loosing the colors, the shapes, the brush strokes, the style.
ITâs just a bland looking photo of a guy screaming, that is only really relevant mostly because of the audience being already familiar with the original artwork.
If you really wanna get a sense of just how fucking big blue whales really are, then consider the fact that the dolphins swimming in front of this whale are over two metres long
While 100% a species of dolphin i want to point out those are ORCAS. if anyone got confused for a second like i did. Those are fucking orcas. Holy shit that is a giant fucking whale.
Each orca is over 6.5 feet long, Americans.
guys, just, no. these are likely pacific whitesided dolphins, a criminally adorable cetacean found in the North Pacific that does indeed average at around 2.3-2.5 meters long.
now THIS is an orca, pictured here in the act of headbutt-murdering a common dolphin right into fucking oblivion. (common dolphins are about the same size as the pacific whitesided dolphin, for scale.)
thatâs right, orcas max out at an astonishing 25 feet long, or well over 7 meters. thatâs almost a quarter as long as that blue whale, and is just generally way too fucking big to deal with today when you remember that weâre talking about an apex predator the size of a minibus. theyâre simply too big to be mistaken for anything else in the ocean!
orcas eat a wide variety of foods depending on their location, from herring to that really unfortunate common dolphin up there (rip.) if I really wanted to give the lowdown on them Iâd be here all day, but Iâll tell you that orcas are also the only known predator to hunt and kill blue whales. so lets just be glad itâs only the dolphins in that first pic!
also hereâs a cheerful reminder that the evolutionary rise of the Orca mysteriously coincided perfectly with the decline and extinction of Megalodon!Â
coincidence, Iâm sure. have a good night, everybody!
The Orca arriving in the worldâs oceans, seeing the Megalodon: âIâm about to end this manâs whole careerâ
âIn the words of Mark Twainâs wife, Shania Twain, âthat donât impress me muchââ

im sure theres people out there with insatiable lusts for grapes but for me i never even think about them unless theyre provided to me. but when im in a situation where i have grapes provided to me im like, wow, i have to consume my body weight in these right now or i will die

I started Hebrew, which is why Iâve been dead on this blog, but I donât think I can ever properly convey to you guys the sheer cultural whiplash of spending years learning Japanese from Japanese teachers and then trying to learn Hebrew from an Israeli
Japanese: you walk into class already apologizing for being alive Hebrew: you walk into class, the teacher insults you and you are expected to insult her back
Japanese: conjugates every single verb based on degree of intended politeness, nevermind keigo and honorifics Hebrew: Someone asked my teacher how to say âexcuse meâ and she laughed for several seconds before saying we shouldnât worry about remembering that since weâll never need to say it
Japanese: if you get one stroke wrong the entire kanji is incomprehensible Hebrew: cursive? script? fuck it do whatever you want, you donât even have to write the vowels out unless you feel like it
Japanese: the closest thing there is to âbastardâ is an excessively direct âyouâ pronoun Hebrew: âbitchâ translates directly
The span of human experience is so insane.
Do you ever think really hard about university and ask yourself WHY? LIKE WHY AM I DOING IT? Omfg and with my one and only lifeâŠâŠ
i really wanna draw a cow. idk why but i REALLY want to
theyre girlfriends
