Description: A color rendered character sheet of [unnamed] along his weapon of choice, a gear shift cane. He does not require the cane to walk. In his colored pose, he demands authority. He wears all black and favors best of delicacies. He's neat. He likes to be well kept but that facade disappears when serious.

Here lies one of the villain or perhaps the main antagonist. He dresses in black suits, black long sleeves, and black slacks. He has never taken a train a day in his life. He’s a benefactor of this world’s rules though that was not always the case. He invests in th train systems only so much that there are no traffic for him and his vehicles
He’s sharp and agile.

The best way to communicate that bobo towns train stations were in fact lived in was a simple train car on the tracks with the lights shining. To the viewer it suggests someone may be in the car. Maybe even many.

Description: The train stations of bobo town, places of daily commute invaded by nature. Look as branches climb atop the platforms and the tracks doused in clean [yes] clean water.

Feedback: For this assignment, I wanted to tackle a space that a lot of us may be familiar with especially if we have not yet passed our drivers tests; the train station. Most of the architectural designs for our stations are very blocky. There big horizontal pillars, benches, and etc.. I wanted to riff off on other primary shapes and the top contender was a circle. To create guidelines for this environment, the perspective lines looked a little different. Here, both circles and linear lines were used to get a sense of the space before placing props and elements that are typically found at a train station.

Facial expressions can change significantly even with such limitations. It reminds me of animation sheets-specifically ones that gauge a characters mouth during dialogue

The first thing that came to thought when trying to convey a non-visible sensation was complimentary visuals for movement. In other words VFX for movement to enhance the perception of motion. In manga panels, they are motion line, in anime or cartoons they are impact frames. These visual cues and particles communicate things that do not exist and simultaneously give life.
There’s no wave ripples when a ball bounces but it feels appropriate.[I watched goat, the animated film this past weekend]
There’s no motion lines when a stick falls but it feels less impactful without it.

Description: It is common for details to be lost when resolution is scaled down. That said, the form of the subject should still read and communicate it's volume and action. In this assignment I aimed for the action to be especially legible using high contrast in values and tones as well primitive shapes to maintain the silhouette
I learned these techniques not too long ago but it became even more apparent once I started learning optimization and utilizing different LOD's for 3D models in games. Abstraction in form has also been something I've dabbled in. It is a design philosophy I live by when exploring any new medium. Game design, animation, art direction... you name it
