I’m thinking a lot of about orpheus and eurydice.

no, the moral of the myth was not that doubt and lacking trust can be the downfall of even the strongest relationships. that’s stupid! i believe the moral is to move on, to not look back on the past. eurydice died, eurydice was the past, and orpheus was the future. the road of hades goes on and on, looking back only disrupts the cycle and causes more pain. when orpheus looks back to see if eurydice is still there (the past), he only gets hurt more, as he sees eurydice fall back into the abyss of the underworld. and to top it off, if losing the love of his life for a second time (loser) wasn’t enough already, he dies a gruesome and painful deaths according to a variety of versions.
