> Naoto straightened up and out of her seat as the bus lurched to a halt in front of Junes-- the superstore that announced it's presence with a familiar vibrant, red sign. It was a common meeting place, of sorts, so it was bustling with families and clusters of friends alike. Accustomed to wearing her button-up shirts and ties, the young detective felt relatively uncomfortable clad in her turquoise gym pants and a tee shirt-- the feeling itself would have made her want to tug at the brim of her cap to conceal her face... albeit, she'd left that at home as well.
>No matter, she reminded herself. She was simply meeting Chie-- a friend. A year earlier, she wouldn't have ever imagined that she'd ever venture out to spend time with someone for something that didn't pertain to work. Therefore, she was convinced that she didn't have anything to worry about. Admittedly, she'd never had the opportunity to spend much time with Chie without the rest of their group accompanying them. If anything, it'd be interesting to try and hold a conversation throughout the duration of their jog.
>Whilst jogging wasn't an activity she normally partook in, it was nice to get out of her apartment for a night. Spending time in the confines of those four walls could sometimes get rather stuffy, suffocating. She also wished to get stronger-- laughable as it was, given her height and physique. The detective lacked the confidence (and time, for that matter) to visit a gym.
>Quieting her thoughts, she circled the building and moved towards the back of fenced perimeter that housed several rounded tables. A place she'd spent hours studying or mulling over cases at-- it was familiar, almost homely. Assuming Chie might have already been there, she let her eyes narrow and skim over her surroundings. When she didn't see the other girl, she decided to take a seat instead, pulling out the chair closest to her and sinking down into it. She'd gotten there a little earlier than she had anticipated to. It wasn't that she minded the wait so much-- there were clusters of friends sitting nearby, and she was fidgeting in unfamiliar clothes.
>The notion to check her phone for updates on work crossed her mind... before she could act, however, she noticed her senpai bounding towards her. Naoto sprang up to her feet and moved to encounter the girl halfway, tipping her head in casual greeting.
"Ah. Chie-senpai, hello. I'm glad that we' found the time to meet like this." A beat passed, :Shall we be on our way, then?"
