I found this “Amanita Road” on one of my first larger mushroom trips in October 2015, in Hesse, Germany. The entire forest was FULL of them, but unfortunately we had lost our way and had to get out before it got dark, so we were in a bit of a hurry. And on top of it all, my photo card was full and this was one of the last photos I snapped. I’ve returned to that same forest last year and found some beautiful Amanitae again, but not as abundant as back in 2015. (Rescue post from my old blog)
