Kamryn walked out into the lobby after she finished her dance class. Her mother had brought her overnight bag to the studio so she wouldn’t have to drag it around all day at dance, considering she was there for upwards of ten hours a day. Pyramid had been pretty exciting for Kamryn, since it was her first time on top. Not only that, but she had a loaded week. One solo, two duets, and two groups. If she thought four routines was a lot to juggle, she was going to have to step up her game. There was no way she was going to show any form of defeat or distress over anything. It was her week to prove her worth, even if she kind of already did the previous week. 

As she reached over to grab the bag Gianna held from the front desk, she felt her phone buzzing in her other bag. After thanking her for holding the bag up front for her, Kamryn sat down on a bench and checked her texts. “Yeah I’m in the front lobby” she responded, allowing autocorrect to fix her spelling errors from her hand being a little shaky. She had been practicing her acro for a while within the previous hours, and all of the impact on her wrists and upper arms always left them a little sore. It didn’t bother her, though, since it meant that she was working hard. While she waited for Chloe to respond to her or come to meet her, she checked through her overnight bag to check that her mother had packed everything.

Chloe walked into the lobby and waited for Kamryn. She sat on the bench in the room near the door and smiled when her mom walked by and sat next to her. ‘Ready for three daughters tonight?” she joked. Christi was so used to other girls coming in and out of the house and staying the night. Chloe liked all the hustle and bustle of having extra people in the house. Her dad was relatively quiet, but the rest of her family was not, they were loud and excitable. She didn’t like it so much when it was quiet and lonely. After she left the ALDC it seemed like her house got a little duller, there was less excitement. There was less in and out of friends and moms and sometimes cameras. 

Chloe had dozed off but was shaken back to reality when she got the text. She stood up and giggled realizing that she had missed Kamryn walking in. "Kamryn my dear,” she said in a sing song-y voice, with her hand above her head. She skipped over to the other girl and wrapped her arms around Kamryn. She let the girl go after a few seconds and turned towards the door. “Ready to go?” she asked with a giggle. Chloe led the way out the door and to the Lukasiak’s car. “M’lady,” she said jokingly and held open the car door for Kamryn. After that, Chloe moved to the front of the car and slid in. “Let’s go,” she said cheerfully, looking at her mom and then back at Kamryn.

Chloe felt bittersweet after leaving pyramid for the week. She was very excited when Abby had given her and Kamryn a duet, but the only time she had even said her name was when she was assigning dances. Chloe was worried about Abby forgetting who she was but she din’t want to worry about that at the moment. Chloe just wanted to have a good week and prove herself to Abby. She knew that she would need to work her butt off this week and she would need to put in a few more hours at the studio this week. Chloe was very excited to finally be working closely with Kamryn. The two had talked during Dance Moms but had totally lost touch after it was over, but had reconnected when they both came back. 

After a late night ballet class she sent a quick text to Kamryn asking her where she was and if she was ready to go. Chloe had talked with the girl and they had decided to have a sleepover sometime this week. She walked slowly to the den and packed up her things for the night. She pulled a pair of sweatpants over her short, adjusted her ponytail and sat in the den waiting for an answer from Kamryn. Chloe zipped up her favorite pair of boots and then heard her phone buzz. She quickly picked it up and saw a reply from Kamryn.

“Thanks, Mama Luk!” Kendall called, jogging ahead and hugging Christi’s back before falling back into step beside Chloe. The brunette thought of her teammates’ parents as her own, and referred to them as such. She didn’t mind when her friends did it, they were all practically her sisters, and she loved having a second family that she could be around when they weren’t home in Pittsburgh. The girls used to alternate weekends at each others’ houses during competition season, staying up late to rehearse dances, gossip, and practice hair and makeup on each other. However, it seemed as if lately, it was every dancer for themselves, the major competition being within the studio instead of from outside studios. And Kendall hated it.

Skipping down towards baggage claim, Kendall stalked out a position at the very beginning of the belt, cringing at the loud buzzing sound the area made before the belt began to move, sending people’s checked luggage one bag at a time. “I mean, I figure we can go in the pool, raid Charlotte’s closet for her bathing suits because she’s never gonna wear them again, and order Chinese food or pizza or something.” The brunette commented, her eyes scanning the belt as various black suitcases emerged, which were scooped up by the producers in a half second. As a large, Louis Vuitton suitcase came out, Kendall glanced at the handle, spotting the Louisville Ladybirds scrunchie Ryleigh had given her woven through the strap and puled it off the belt, pushing the top button and yanking up on the handle. “Which one is yours?”

Chloe giggled when Kendall responded to her mom. “Thanks momma!” she yelled. She could tell that she had embarrassed her mother but she really didn’t care. Chloe knew that her mom loved her, despite all of the embarrassing moments. Dance Moms had pushed their relationship to the edge but in the end it only strengthened their relationship. Chloe was constantly being pushed around by Abby and Christi would fight back. And when she heard the moms talking bad about her mom she would defend her mother. Chloe was really close to her mom, they were like best friends. Some girls find it embarrassing to match with their moms but Chloe loved to match with her mom. They both traveled with matching Vera Bradley backpacks and matching Calvin Klein sunglasses. 

Chloe skipped behind Kendall and smiled. She followed the girl to the beginning of the belt and waited for the luggage to arrive. She shifted her weight and rocked back and forth as she listened to Kendall. “That sounds like fun. Charlotte has the cutest bathing suits,” Chloe said excitedly. “I like Chinese food, we should get that.” Chloe watched all of the suitcases roll out and onto the conveyor belt. She saw Kendall grab her luggage and continued to wait for her own. “That one!” she said. Chloe pointed to where the bags came out and onto the belt at a black Michael Kors bag. There was a bright pink feathery tag on it that was a gift from Clara. She grabbed the bag and turned to her friend. “Shall we go m’dear?” she joked.
