A hum slipped out of his lips as he let his car idle beside him. He’d flipped the radio to some random station, and he could still feel the song in his veins, thrumming along. His mismatched eyes scanned the streets curiously, until they found someone’s back, walking away from him. He hurriedly moved forward, reaching out to touch their shoulder gently. “Hey, I’m really sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you knew a place someone new in town could stay until they could find an apartment or a house? I’ve got a job lined up already, but I may have skipped a step on the living front.” A laugh escaped him, his eyes dancing playfully as he waited for the person to turn.
Indra was walking home from the bar when she heard some song in the distance. She didn’t really pay attention until someone tapped her back. She jumped slightly, always being slightly a little too paranoid. The girl turned around and smiled sweetly, “I mean, I have a spare bedroom in my apartment that you’re welcome to stay at” she suggested with a nod.
