Stream and Download ‘Understand’, the Brand New Single From Nigerian-American Artist Olawumi.

Nigerian-American singer-songwriter Hillary Olawumi, better known as “Olawumi” is a 22-year old photographer turned R&B/Soul artist.

Originally from the Gateway region of New Jersey, Olawumi introduced the world to her experimental R&B sound with the release of her 4-track EP in May 2014. Produced in large part by Philadelphia composer Cloud Atrium, NOIR explored the singer’s feelings following a dark and tempestuous episode in her life.

Continuing were her previous release, produced by California-native Nova her latest single is laced with colorful synths and a driving bass as Olawumi croons about the lingering nostalgia of a broken relationship, later following up with empowering lyrics, “I will be okay and I will glow without you.” Understand is lifted off her upcoming project The Feels.

Currently, the singer-songwriter is working to complete her sophomore project CROWNS EP, which is scheduled for release late 2015.
