It’s a biological fact that fish do indeed change their sex to keep the male/female ratio balanced in their school population. So this fluidity actually makes more sense from a scientific standpoint than the silly idea that merfolk are born with a strictly assigned sex like humans.

current fan creation landscape is kinda like if you went to a party with a homemade cake and everyone takes a slice and silently thumbs up at you with no attempt to start a conversation except for occasionally some guy sits in the corner with a tape recorder critiquing the cake as though he was a restaurant critic and another guy is handing the cake to an uber driver like "yeah i need you to find a restaurant that makes cake like this so i can have more of it" and the only person that's talked to you in 30 minutes is a very sweet little guy who was like "hey i liked your cake" and then ran away apologizing for bothering you the moment you said thank you.

Space Ghost, Mighty Mightor and Tog by Steve Rude.

This was inspired by the final two episodes of Space Ghost's original television series in 1967, which were formatted somewhat like a movie serial.

In the story all of Space Ghost's enemies join together as the Council of Doom. Space Ghost travels throughout the galaxy (and time, too) battling the Council, and crosses over with the other Hanna-Barbera heroes broadcast on Saturday mornings that year as well: Mightor, Moby Dick, The Herculoids and Shazzan.

I absolutely flipped out for joy when I saw those shows the first time. It was like Hanna-Barbera's version of the Justice League of America, which rival studio Filmation has debuted the previous year.

The Official Star Trek Phaser Ray Gun Space Flashlight, with click action noise!

I had one of these. While it was great to have a toy phaser, despite the cruddy Star Trek logo on the side, the light was so dim you could barely see it even at night.
