It’s stated he looks up to and had a crush on Roxanne.
So obviously he’d daydream about her.
Roxanne walking in on Sun getting hurt, crying, hurting himself.
She’d come and take him away from the daycare. Tell the others, they’d paper sun and help him.
Kick moon out, give him more autonomy. Overall make him happier.
And then I’d could shift to maybe solar? He’s a good Eclipse it would be a reflection of his past with Eclipse and trying to be friends with him. He’d imagine the same things but I’d end in moon dead(maybe?) then it all fizzles away to Sun laying in his bed with dents in the tower on an old stained couch. While Moon’s sleeping in an inclosed space, sleeping on a real mattress.
Eventually he’d stop doing that and resort to just making alternate scenarios where he and his family like happy.
I think it’s so odd how many people will choose moons side no matter what. Like in tsams AND masm
A video where sun chews into moon, and all the comments are about how wrong it was (also when sun was being petty in tsams) but literally fail to realize Sun was abused by masm moon HEAVILY.
And in Tsams when sun was being petty, it was all about how either they were both in the wrong or sun was..
Like are we consuming the same media? Sun literally put his trust that moon wouldn’t hide things, giving him a last chance. Then he’s given a half-assed excuse about how he didn’t want to give Sun any into until he had it all(?) which is like, if you actually thought about it, giving Sun information in bite sized pieces when it happens is significantly better than throwing it all on him 2 months later.
He also brings up how his daughter pick up on it, which is probably true but this is a whole family matter, dazzle is bound to find out, like you might as well tell sun to stick to cleaning and tending to his kids and let him and Monty handle the work.
It’s between that and some petty little lie Sun told that moon crashed out over. Sun most likely did that to regain some control over stuff like that.
Anyway stuff that really bothers me, moon is literally a horrible person, I dislike him so much.
With nexus it’s more reasonable and he’s more likable, he’s got a reason for going evil (solar dies, he’s ok with it for a bit, then he has a dream sun actually dies, and he goes mad) but, obviously it’s him being in a emotional decline and blaming everyone. In this i acknowledge moon was under heavy pressure from sun to not be like moon, but was also treated like moon.
I just don’t like Moon, he reminds me so much of abusers, how they act, demean, tease, threaten. Overall an icky character to me personally.
Is this a hot take or..

Y’know I kinda feel like the show never really shows how old moons past anger and violent tendencies really took a toll on him.
Old Moon was like really violent, the fact that Sun never really “learned” or got scared enough to stop asking stupid questions or be quiet seems a little out of the ordinary.
I mean since he was around so much anger, especially since moon was the only real person he was around, early Sams.
Maybe I should make something around this.
We know that Old Moon was abusive, both mentally and physically. So seeing him develop hyper vigilance would be interesting.
Again it’s odd we don’t see even some of it. Or maybe we did and I just forgot, also I started watching in like 2 years ago….

Anyway we’d see sun stop talking when moon got aggravated or annoyed.
He’d stop talking and watch very carefully of what he’d do.
Avoid taking deep breathes so he wouldn’t let moon know he was scared or stressed.
Oh and the anger he’d have towards old moon.
The resentment growing after every hit.
Imagining hurting moon while he was sleeping.
Also the moments/memories of when old moon would get hit sun, high stress moments would eventually get locked away like moons emotions did.
With also a combo of moon joking snd teasing sun so brutally and being an absolute jerk. But ohhh it’s ok because that’s what brothers do. Oh and they also get into huge fights that end in sun crying.
They also can’t say sorry because they don’t know how to(to each other), and moon would never admit to any wrongdoing.
And then the continuous cycle of not being able to do anything, wanting to tell someone, being suicidal, and sucking it up.
But he loves moon, very much, that’s his brother, the only person he trusts. So he can’t stop him, he can’t tell anyone, cause what can they do actually? Also he can’t really leave, they work and live together.
Annnd lunar being in there and sun trying to protect him in someway, but he realizes moon cares to not yell or hit. So he also doesn’t like lunar all that much..
But then he dies and then moon dies..
And at the end he has to forget it ever happened with no way to digest it (they won’t built with that into them) because he died an now there’s a new moon who might fall into the same anger issues moon had.
How will he teach him to not hit his brother when something annoys him?

A lot of this stuff is from my own experience.
Which is probably why I love sun so much, his abuser is like the two people in my life that make it miserable, so seeing sun get mad, actually setting boundaries, and growing is my little way of coping.
I feel like Sun is such a well written character, and im not saying that because im a kin of him. The fandom apparently can’t handle characters like that, they had the same thing with Terra when she first appeared and while her writing wasn’t the best at the time, it was getting better. Honestly the fandom is a hell hole.
Fr like I can understand the conflict in his relationship in canon but even in the fandom , he ironically be the most hated or don't care about character
Like he is trying to be good but they only find his flaws. He stands up for himself and they said he makes things worse. He decided to leave and stop with the toxic and they say he being assholes and selfish
While every other characters.... They just don't care
it’s honestly really sad how the fandom sees him. The conflicts he has in his relationships, especially his and Moon’s are pretty well written as well. Besides, Davis and Reed even know that Moon and Sun aren’t good siblings (from that one membership video that I would’ve loved to watch if I had money-) and I wish they would bring it out more. I feel like if they showed Moon’s flaws more then maybe Sun would actually be a bit more liked in the fandom.
I mean i actually remember when Sun was liked in the fandom, same with Cosmo, but now majority of the fandom hates them and only sees their flaws. It’s kinda sad honestly-
Even back then, Sun was always the one who took the blame.
Like they are empathy with Moon and how he feels guilty over how he handled things with Sun. Or even Nexus will how much he tried after and failed

Also this is what moon says “Y'know eating a lot of sugar isn't that healthy, even though we are robots. If you eat a lot of it, overtime your body can't absorb all that energy, so it slows down and you could run into problems. Overall you really shouldn't eat that crap, especially since your a newer model a you could run into a side affect similar to weight gain, it's actually really interesting!”

So I plan on making a fanfic on this, it’ll be similar to my fanfic with eclipse and sun (idk why I keep making moon the abuser) but it’s with Sun and nexus. I had this idea a while ago but way more tamed down, this idea just came to me this evening. Which is how they all are made, a lot of music & inspo.
Sun lives with Nexus, Dark Sun, and Ruin.
He comes to nexus after Moon resumes his abuse after he comes back, but now he has a daughter, who he won’t let get hurt.
Blah blah blah, nexus threatens dazzle while they are fighting and sun gets scared.
He comes to nexus after moon really beat into him.
Sun wants him to stay with nexus for a while, letting him be a whither shard finder for the sake of his daughter. With the exception that nexus doesn’t hurt Earth or Dazzle. (Debating on making Solar into something nasty, if not he’d be added)
Nexus relents, but quickly finds out Suns a handful, more so than he remembers.
(It’s been like a year)
Sun is basically a cat stuck in heat that Nexus can’t get rid of for ethical reasons, and that he cares about Sun more than he lets on.
I like the idea that moon really doesn’t want that to slip,
He yells at Sun and doesn’t let up on his decisions. Trying little by little to ease Sun out of his bad habits.
Ok I’d go more into it in the fanfic (or I’d try to) but I figured it was somewhat worth sharing here.
