hey so i just got a statement in the mail stating that the government is going to start garnishing wages from my paycheck because of my student loans, something that hadn’t even crossed my mind of being a possibility. i literally work enough now to pay my rent & other bills and this is going to set me back so far. 15% doesn’t seem like a lot, but when your paycheck is $300 bucks and that becomes $255 & your rent is still $500 plus utilities? yeah, that’s a problem. i’m gonna see what I can do so i can end this as soon as possible, but this is just another hit at my self-esteem. each time something good happens, something else knocks me back down. i currently owe over $2300 in student loans. not a lot but enough to hit me for a long time coming. two of my bills are already due this week so this is seriously the worst timing.
