As we know, the Met Gala took place this Monday at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The theme was "Costume Art," and some people definitely showed up in costumes. While yours truly was not invited, you know I had to give my input on the best (I use that term loosely) and worst looks of the night.

So... I could say a lot, but all I'll say is that she looks like a jewelry jar that's been wrapped in expensive tin foil.

The gaudy tin foil was accompanied by Asap Rocky, whose giving what Rick James would've given had he been an extra in Home Alone II when they were staying at the Plaza Hotel... A little Hugh Hefner & Pink Panther collab? Do with that as you will.

Where do I begin? There are certain elements that I could potentially like had they been executed differently. For one, the fur. The fur clutched closest to her is a beautiful taupe color, and even the light gray that's going down her back, but then the train just throws everything off. It looks like a matted dog rug that's been sitting in the rain for a couple of hours. The crown is pretty. The outfit is reminding me of what Gaga wore at her 2009 Monster Ball tour, with that kind of white lobster look. I will let her slide, though.

I mean, what the fuck? So much is going on when nothing is going on at all. If the theme was "Dr. Seuss' depiction of the Abominable Snowman going to the Met Gala in Antarctica," then she would've gotten a 10/10, but girl what? On a better note, she's giving a little Mary J. in the face, so there's that.

Nicole Kidman in Chanel

This would KILL at an Upper East Side Christmas charity event for The Heart Truth, but I don't know, it looks a little too festive for the Met, but overall, I do think this is a gorgeous gown.

Okay, um... You know what? She's on theme, and that's really all that matters, right? I'm surprised this is Dior; it's kind of something I think a really talented girl could make on RuPaul's Drag Race for a '20s-themed runway. I suppose it's cute.

Charli XCX in Saint Laurent

I honestly almost scrolled past this, but honestly, there's something about its elegance and simplicity that just does it for me. Simple and couture. Yes.

Ayo Edebiri in Chanel

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, it's a simple, beautiful dress, but girl for the Met? Like you had months to prepare, and this is what you chose to wear? Disappointed only because of how simple it is. And those shoes are unsavory.

Serena Williams in Marc Jacobs

I feel like this is my time to let you all know how much I despise this material. We're back to tin foil, and I don't like it. Maybe it's her build, but it's giving WWE Diva wrestling gear pre-2011 meets 1400s enchantress getting ready to battle for her life or get saved by a knight.

Emma Chamberlain in Mugler

Let's remain positive. It's a very creative gown. I absolutely adore the bottom half of this dress. It reminds me of a flower that's been soaked in different colors and is now dying off. I don't know, I see a vision. Along with the sleeves, gorgeous. The top of the dress loses me with this kind of swirl action, and the makeup isn't working in her favor– I see what they were going for with the bleached brows, bleached hair, and a light smokey eye, however, it just makes her look ill, in my opinion, and a little boyish.

Kylie Jenner in Schiaparelli

I absolutely loathe the bleached brows. This was her chance, if ever, to be creative and give us drama and theatre. So the makeup is going to be a chop. The top could've been more exciting, perhaps a different texture or design or crystalized. The bottom of the dress is beautiful, it flows nicely, I think they should've kept the diamond aspect throughout the whole dress but hey.

You know what, I love it. Giving me Black Swan, literally. I love how the black feathers grow up this mesh corset, and then this beautiful off-white train is just immaculate. I think the hair is styled correctly– slightly messy with the two slightly curled strands– Oh and this is how you pull off bleached brows.

Gracie Abrams in Chanel

So while this is an enthralling dress that fits her really nicely and flatters her body quite well, her hair and makeup (or lack thereof) are holding her back from making this dress hers. Unfortunately, she's not wearing the dress; the dress is wearing her. Her stylist(s) should have either added extensions or done something different with her hair. Honestly, I think a bleached blonde version of this exact hairstyle may have done her more justice...and dare I say bleached brows?

Kris Jenner in Dolce & Gabbana

No shade, Kris needs to fire her stylists. Because I just know she did not pick this out, and nor shouldn't she have. For a second, I was thinking, "When did Brenda Song hit menopause?" This is obviously Asian inspired, which begs the question, "What about this is costume?" and that's not a trick question. The hair doesn't complement her at all, and this dress drowns her. Two thumbs = down

SZA in Bode

Alright let's address her. We see her in shit like this all the time. This is her old faithful, and I get it, but give us something different. And the only thing that is unique about it, this head/facepiece, does not flatter her at all. The dress looks homemade and less crafted than her other gowns look so it's a chop all around.

Doechiii in Marc Jacobs

This just screams 'give me attention!' so I'll give it to her. This is literally just fabric uniquely wrapped around her, and this weird shape over her left breast just looks odd. I did read that she wasn't wearing shoes so she could show off West African henna and I'm not buying it. Call me biased, but this is so ostentatious and she has to know that.

Daisy Edgar-Jones in McQueen

I would probably love this a lot more if the sculpting weren't there. I think if it were flowy or had maybe a different sculpting pattern, I'd find it more appealing. I do enjoy the mix of lace and feathers.

Jasmine Tookes in Sophie Couture

God Bless Jasmine Tookes for blessing us with this look. Quite frankly, she can take all of my money because I am buying everything she is selling me. The makeup is beautiful, the dress is to die for. But I know her feet were hurting because those heels did not fit her. Stunning.

Maude Apatow in Valentino

As my favorite designer is Valentino, the dress could do no wrong. I do think she could have pulled it off more with a Holly Golightly-inspired hairstyle and a classic red lip, because once again, I think she's competing with the dress on who's wearing who better, but she is putting up a fight, which has to count for something.

Madonna in Saint Laurent

Oh girl this is a maniacal mess... Like she had to have gotten the invitation for the 2027 Met Gala, where the theme was "Marilyn Manson meets Edward Scissorhands meets Tim Burton meets the Babadook." Jokes aside, I don't know where the fuck she was going, but I would be scared of her if I were a child seeing this in person.

You know what, I love it. This is the theme: Costume Art. There's just such a nostalgic and 2000s vibe to this that is so camp and ingenious that I can't help but love this.

Tate McCrae in Ludovic de Saint Sernin

I had a hard time putting my finger on how I felt about this, but I think I like it after hearing that this was inspired by gilded statues from a 17th-century ship. It's unique, and the color is something we don't see often, so I do give kudos for that. I can appreciate it for sure.

Mondo Duplantis and Desire Iglander in Georges Hobeika

Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is what I call impeccability. They look amazing, hands down one of my favorites, if not my favorite, of the night. These gorgeous ruffles that are off the shoulder, the sleeves and how they kind of ball up at the wrists, and then this beautiful mesh train, just amazing.

Why Nicki Minaj is Still Winning

The public shaming of Nicki Minaj is a perfect example of how racist and disgusting the Democratic party can truly be, the minute you don’t lick the boot of the nearest minority and agree with the white man. Nicki Minaj is one of the most (if not the most) influential female rappers of the 21st Century thus far, and regarded as the 'Queen of Rap' by many. However, Nicki Minaj would be introduced to a different side of the political spectrum in late 2025. At 5:21 a.m. on November 1, 2025, Nicki Minaj took to her Twitter (X) account to publicly denounce the violence against Christians in Nigeria and to thank President Trump for his acknowledgment of the crisis on Truth Social, writing,

'Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.

No group should ever be persecuted for practicing their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.

Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.

Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.'

The tweet, which has now gained over 50 million views, sparked a debate in Democratic, liberal, minority, and queer spaces, as supporters of Minaj questioned her political identity. Some replies include, 'See the persecution of Christians in israel. They are spitting on them; I hope your president will address this issue too.', 'Focus on Sudan, Cameroon, Tanzania, Uganda, and other African countries that have lifelong presidents who subject the majority of their people to abject poverty,' and 'This is why no one respects you.' However, the backlash seemingly didn't affect her as on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Minaj spoke at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, continuing to call for political action in Nigeria.

After continuing to support the president, Nicki Minaj has been vilified and labeled as a racist, a homophobe (despite being an avid gay rights activist), a sellout, and a 'coon'. In 2025, Nicki Minaj saw exactly what happens when you go against the left propaganda and realized exactly why she spoke out against them. Nicki Minaj is an influential black woman who went against the grain, and for that, she was ridiculed and nefariously disparaged in an attempt to isolate her from every community she has impacted; all because she stood with her beliefs.
