About a year ago, I was drawing Frostpaw/Frostdawn and mentioned that I had my own headcanons about star markings, which affect medcine cats, leaders, and, surprisingly, deputys. According to my headcanon, if a chosen deputy is destined to become a leader, they will receive a star-shaped scar on their right shoulder shortly after assuming the position. This is how the Starclan tribe marks the future leader as the right paw of the current one. However, since Tigerclaw was a traitor (which the Starclan knew), his scar is located on his left shoulder, as he will eventually become the leader.
